Hotel Laax dengan Sarapan

First ski holiday with my family. 3 kids 9, 7 and 5. They all loved the experience and the location and facilities of Rocks resort hotel made it this way. The staff were amazing. Very helpful and friendly. The apartment to the lockers to the gondola was all within 5 mins. Very easy to check in and check out. Plenty of ski gear to rent. The ski school was the best decision we made all week. We put the 3 kids in 9.45 to 3.15 and included lunch. This allowed us parents to enjoy our trip too and the kids thrived. I went up the mountain with them in last day and down the blues. The slopes were good too. I will definitely be back and will stay again in the rocks resort.

Zentral und doch erstaunlich ruhiges Hotel. (Südzimmer). Alles ist in unmittelbarer Umgebung zu Fuss erreichbar: Bergbahnen, Sportgeschäfte, Coiffeur, Bäckerei, Lebensmittelladen und 8 Restaurants für jeden Geschmack.Schöne, saubere Wellnessanlage. Reservation und Check-in einfach und schnell. Hilfsbereite und freundliche Menschen überall im Hotel. Wermutstropfen. Als langjähriger Gast ( Seit 1995 etwa 80 Aufentthalte in Sommer Herbst und Winter) empfindet man den Umgang kühl. Bis auf 2 sind alle bekannten Gesichter in Empfang und Restaurant verschwunden. Durch das Rocksresort wurde das Ganze zum Riesenbetrieb, der zwar gut funktioniert, aber zu Haus fühlt man sich nicht mehr. Die Hotelgäste sollten meiner Meinung nach persönlicher betreut werden, als die Gäste in den dutzenden von Wohnungen des Resorts. Der Preis ist doch einiges höher. So wie das jetzt läuft ist das wie bei IBIS oder andern Geschäftshotels. Und noch dies: Der Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage kostet fürstliche 20 Franken/Nacht. Als ich einmal von einem Ausflug wieder einfahren wollte, hiess es das Parkhaus sei voll. Nach Diskussion mit dem Parkplatzwächter wurde ich eingelassen, und konnte dann mein Auto nach langer Suche in einer feuchten und dunklen Ecke im untersten Geschoss abstellen. Hab das an der Rezeption gemeldet. Wurde entgegengenommen. Reaktion null. Schade.

We stayed in a 2.5 room Apartment which sounds misleading. It is actually a 1 bedroom with a pull out single bed hidden in a sideboard in the main living area. I guess someone could sleep on the couch too but that would be very crowded. It was perfect for 3 of us. Tons of closet storage and shelving, plus a large walk in room to store luggage and extras. The bathroom was a good size and large tub. Water was extremely hot which I loved. The ski lockers downstairs were nice to have and warm at night. The kitchen is equipped with almost everything you need - I understand the establishment wants to contribute to sustainability with only providing liquid hand/body soap (bring your own shampoo/conditioner/lotion), but it would be nice to have tissues or napkins/paper towels for the kitchen. I then found it strange that there was not anywhere to recycle plastic and cans which just ended up in the trash. If you don't stop at the grocery before arriving, the Coop across the street at the gas station is convenient and has almost everything you might need (albeit at a price, it is still cheaper than going out to dinner). It would have been nice to the property to include cooking oil so we would not have to buy a large bottle and only use a few drops - which is wasteful. There is paid laundry near the parking garage, but the way the property is set up is a bit annoying if your room is in the other tower, you have to take 2 different elevators and walk a bit to get there. It would nice if they were in the room - especially since all of your stuff is wet after skiing. It would also be nice if they had English instructions for the machines and kitchen appliances since the European symbols are not ones I have seen on US appliances and it took a while to figure out how to use. The wellness area is good. The pool is a decent size and whirlpool is huge - although not very hot. Yes, there were kids there during the hours they were not supposed to be, but there are no employees minding the area. The saunas were great but the only towels are in your room, so be sure to bring them with you. If you want a massage you have to book a day in advance. There is not a masseuse there full time. Front desk employees were very nice, but leave at 10pm so hopefully you don't need anything between 10pm and 7am. There is a bar in lobby but I never saw anyone working at it or hanging out there. Location is great for skiing and the shuttle to the lift is frequent. Many walking trails nearby. There isn't much else to do, unlike Flims which as many more shops and restaurants. Just remember this is a hotel/apartment in Europe. It is not full service and English is probably not their first language so be patient and enjoy the fact that you are lucky enough to visit such a beautiful area!

In diese Jugendherberge werden wir ganz bestimmt wieder zurückkehren. Sie ist lichtdurchflutet, schlicht, modern, jedoch trotzdem gemütlich und praktisch eingerichtet. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit, kompetent und freundlich. Das Angebot des Restaurants entsprach vollumfänglich unseren Erwartungen. Es gab günstige und leckere Abendmenüs für CHF 19:50 (3 Gänge), vielseitige Auswahl für Vegetarier, laktosefreie Produkte und kostenloses Hahnenwasser. Wirklich TOP fand ich vor allem den SPA Bereich, welcher im Vergleich zu den von uns früher besuchten Wellness-Anlagen (z.B. Rigi, Vals, Feusisberg) wesentlich moderner, heller und grosszügiger gestaltet ist. Nur die Garage könnte besser gereinigt werden. Nach 3 Tagen war unser Auto mit einer dicken Staubschicht versehen.

The Alpine-style Posta Veglia hotel in Laax is only a 2-minute walk away from the stop of the free bus to the Weisse Arena ski resort. It offers free Wi-Fi and free covered parking. All rooms in the Posta Veglia hotel have an en-suite bathroom and a cable TV. Traditional Swiss cuisine is served in the various wood-panelled rooms of the restaurant and on the summer terrace. The Laaxersee lake for bathing in summer is only a 5-minute walk away from the Posta Veglia hotel.

Amazing apartment with all you need for a few days. Extra bonus was the spa and gym. Staff were friendly and the restaurant was Incredible (albeit a little expensive but well worth one visit) We based ourselves here for a few days and went for days out, p

Very nice apartment, nice and clean, all the necessary comforts, organized and all the pool areas, whirlpool, sauna, gym all at the top. Lots of possibilities for activities with children.
