I stayed 2 nights in this hotel with my 21 year old daughter in the first week in July. It's in a great position, down a beautiful street & a short walk to all the bustling restaurants along the port. The lady at check in was really lovely, friendly & informative (& again when we came back one night wanting a hot drink to take up to bed with us she helped us with this). The rooms were clean & the beds comfortable (I'm a bit fussy when it comes to what I sleep on but I had a great night sleep). We stayed midweek and didn't experience any issues with noise outside. The walls are a little thin and on rare occasions could hear next door but this didn't bother us at all & what this place offered overall more than made up for it. The shower cubicle was small so wouldn't suit everyone. I've been to La Rochelle many times and stayed at various hotels each time depending on who I'm traveling with (as a couple or large group). This place ticked all of the boxes and we weren't disappointed. On another note: I usually take a taxi from the airport but the queue was horrendous and after half an hour we decided to jump on the bus (it was Illico 1b) and it took us only a couple of minutes walk to the hotel from the Dames Blanches/St Nicholas bus stop....for under 2 euros each...so I'd do this again just to save taxi time, regardless of cost. Recommend this hotel....and of course beautiful La Rochelle. Ps. there's a lovely, buzzy restaurant opposite too with yummy food...it was packed so we had to take ourselves off to a nearby bar to have a drink & wait...worth it though as restaurant had great atmosphere. Enjoy!

Gorgeous boutique hotel right on Vieux port making it in the heart of the buzz around the port but noise wasn’t an issue at all. Everything was accessible and within a few minutes walk. Bus from the airport stopped right outside the hotel, train station is a 5 minute walk away. Room is v small and a bit cluttered but view from the room made up for it. Didn’t have a balcony (a few rooms have) but we loved looking out our window at the buzz around the port and watching the entertainment. It was spotlessly clean and was cleaned daily. Bathroom was bright and had great lighting, a rare in some hotels where you can barely see without turning all all lights. Minibar including water, coke and iced tea included which was a nice touch. Also got a plate of macarons and a little welcome card which again was lovely. Safe also included free of charge. Beds were very comfortable and plenty of sockets to charge phones etc. Staff were wonderful and so friendly. Didn’t have breakfast as there are so many places to chose from in the city. La Rochelle was amazing and I will hopefully come back and would have no hesitation in staying in La Tour de Nesle again.

Très bon hôtel à proximité immédiate de la rochelle et de l'île de ré. Chambre réservée via le site de l'établissement et check-in rapide avec un accueil cordial et professionnel. Le cadre est idéal pour se reposer ou pour visiter la région. Grande chambre au 2eme étage, propre et fonctionnelle avec des espaces bureau, mini bar et coin café. Très bonne literie et salle de bain spacieuse. Le petit déjeuner est correct avec beaucoup de produits frais. Nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu profiter de l'espace spa que nous essayerons lors d'une prochaine visite.

____________________ LA SITUATION GÉOGRAPHIQUE ---------- Situé dans la zone commerciale Beaulieu Puilboreau, pour faire du shopping c'est donc top avec pas mal de restaurants pour déjeuner/diner sans problème. Accès très facile quasi direct aux grands axes pour rejoindre par exemple La Rochelle. ____________________ L'HOTEL ET L'ACCUEIL ---------- Standard B&B à tout point de vue, très bon accueil, salle de réception moderne avec un grand espace petit déjeuner. Ascenseurs pour accéder aux chambres. ____________________ LA CHAMBRE ---------- Chambre standard également, avec moquette au sol engendrant pas mal de poussière, bien équipé avec penderie, TV, bureau, climatisé ! Salle de bain tout à fait standard B&B également avec toujours le problème de la douche qui mouille toute la salle de bain. Dans l'ensemble tout est propre. ____________________ LA RESTAURATION ---------- Un service de petit déjeuner est proposé sous forme de buffet sucré/salé. Très bonne variété avec viennoiseries, gâteaux, boissons froides et chaudes, oeuf brouillé, bacon et saucisse. De bons produits. ____________________ RAPPORT QUALITE/PRIX ET LES SERVICES ---------- Très bon rapport qualité/prix et au vu de la situation si vous ne voulez pas payer cher pour être au coeur de La Rochelle, tout en ayant commerces/restaurants à côté. Nombreuses places de parking gratuit. Le wifi fonctionne très bien sauf en fin de soirée quand il y a du monde de connecté, cela devient plus lent. Distributeurs 24/24 en salle de réception. ____________________ EN RÉSUMÉ ---------- Il s'agit sans doute d'un très bon choix pour un hôtel de bonne qualité, pas trop cher, dans une grande zone commerciale, et pas trop loin de La Rochelle. Pur standard B&R mais c'est propre et les chambres sont climatisées. Très bon petit déjeuner. Petite faiblesse côté wifi.

Il fût dommage que le règlement me soit refusé en liquide vu la somme et même en découpent les nuitées, petits déjeuners et le parking. À revoir de ce côté là surtout que c'est le premier établissement du groupe qui me l'a refusé jusqu'à présent, je règle toujours en liquide et même jusqu'à 2 semaines et je n'ai jamais eu de problème, il y a toujours eu un arrangement. De plus il faudrait revoir le fonctionnement de la climatisation dans les chambres, celle-ci ne fonctionne pas correctement, il fait beaucoup plus que la température demandée.

Hôtel très bien situé, proche de la gare et du centre
