the hotel is not as good as its price. room is quite small and shower facility not good.
the breakfast is good. there are some tables and chairs to meeting customers in ground floor.

The staff were attentive and the breakfast was excellent.
The location was perfect. The view of Ikoyi from the 6th floor wss great.
They did my ironing perfectly. Check in and the check out was great.
I would definitely like to stay there again and I'd recommend the hotel to my friends

Please beware of this hotel, I stayed here for 10 days over christmas in December 2023 and at first was impressed, but quickly my trip turned into a nightmare. I was stuck in the lift for almost 2 hours and was lucky not to pass out, the alarms were not working and I had to bang on the door loudly to be let out. I wasn't even offered an apology or any compensation...The manager on duty - her name was Bimpe, simply said 'how unfortunate' when I notified her of the incident - which felt like an insult. Furthermore, some of the sheets and towels provided were not clean, and the food in the buffet made me ill for a couple days...absolutely terrible place and the staff are not well trained for dealing with international guests

An excellent evening poolside at the Movenpick Hotel Ikoyi. The buffet BBQ grill had such a variety that one evening is just not enough to try everything. Good variety, nicely presented and which tasted great. Our waiter for the evening Nurudeen, made us feel very special. The service was faultless. We had live music and a cosy atmosphere. The hotel is clearly well managed as all the staff were friendly and attentive without fussing over us. An easy place to recommend, will definitely be returning.

Such a lovely place with the most delicious food, live music & most attentive staff . I would recommend it as a MUST if you want to have a relaxing weekend, enjoy tasty food and have a care free evening where you are being looked after properly !!

The only thing this hotel has going for it at the moment is the location. The property is old and dated and requires urgent top down renovations. You will feel sick as soon as you walk into the rooms. The air quality in the rooms is poor and borderline deadly. Strong moldy, musty and damp smell emanating from the air vents. The carpets are old and dusty, contributing to the bad air quality in the rooms. You will immediately feel your sinuses start reacting as soon as you walk into the room, feeling choky and sneezing. I had to move rooms thrice, and gave up after the third move because each one of the rooms had the same problem. It took me a while to figure out that the main problem is emanating from the air vents in the ceiling. The entire duct work is probably clogged with dust mites, mould and never been cleaned for ages. AC units in the rooms are noisy and looks like something from the 18th century. Overall bad experience at this place and something needs to be done by upper management asap.

Want a relaxing place with good food, and great live Band Movenpick Hotel Ikoyi lagos is the place to be Went there for an evening dinner, and I was greeted by the ambiance and Christmas decorations. The waiter was helpful in my decision making process. I Ordered the Asun and Plantain. The goat meat literally melts in your mouth as soft and tender. The live Band were great, I hummed along while enjoying my meal. Nothing beats a calm relaxing location with great food, quality service and pocket friendly Will be back.

I always always love my experience at this hotel, from its hospitality team, to the facilities, to its ambience, and softer touches, it’s always top notch experience all the way. The Movenpick Ikoyi Hotel (previously Southern Sun) is my go to location and it’s definitely a home away from home for me.

The Movenpick is a slightly older facility than some in Lagos. The facility age is offset by friendly helpful staff, good food and clean rooms. My room was old but importantly well maintained. The hotel does the small important things well. I will stay again.
