A very good hotel and staff is very welcoming. Many advantages : Very close to exit 2 of mrt station Bus station next to it Many convenience store nearby 7/11 and family mart Afternoon snacks and drink and evening porridge Room is spacious and clean Water available on every floor For a small fee of 10ntd for charity you can buy detergent But really what i love was how the staff was really nice, i was there for celebrating my mom birthday. This trip was her gift and they even gave some snack and dessert in our room. So very good memory and we will definitely come back in this hotel if i am in taipei again !

I had visited Jiufen, Taiwan once before, but this second trip truly exceeded expectations. The view, the atmosphere, the service, and the host’s attention to detail were all absolutely outstanding. The scenery from the accommodation was breathtaking — truly a million-dollar view! The room itself was spacious, almost like staying in an entire house. The price per person came out to just a little over 1,100 THB, but what we received was far more valuable than what we paid. The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful, offering us detailed travel suggestions and making us feel as if we were staying at a friend’s home. What touched us the most was that, on the day we left, the host even rode a motorbike to personally drop us off at the bus stop. It’s the little acts of kindness like that that make a place unforgettable. 「這是我住過最難忘的民宿之一。」 我之前曾經去過一次台灣九份，但這次的第二趟旅程真的超出期待。無論是風景、氛圍、服務，還是房東的細心程度，通通都令人驚艷。 房間的景色美得像一幅畫，簡直是百萬級的風景！房間非常寬敞，感覺就像住在一整棟房子裡。每人換算成台幣約一千一百元左右，但實際收到的體驗與照顧遠遠超值。 房東非常親切又貼心，不但詳細介紹當地景點，還讓我們感覺像是住在朋友家一樣溫暖。最讓人感動的是，離開當天他還特地騎摩托車送我們到公車站。 正是這些微小卻真誠的舉動，讓這段旅程更加難以忘懷。 “เป็นอีกหนึ่งที่พักที่ประทับใจมาก ๆ” ผมเคยไป Jiufen (จิ่วเฟิ่น) ไต้หวันมาแล้วรอบหนึ่ง แต่มาทริปรอบที่สองนี้ต้องบอกเลยว่า ทั้งวิว บรรยากาศ การบริการ และความใส่ใจของเจ้าของที่พัก คือสุดยอดจริง ๆ วิวจากที่พักคือหลักล้าน! ห้องพักว้างขวางมาก รู้สึกเหมือนอยู่ในบ้านทั้งหลังเลย ราคาต่อคนเมื่อเทียบเป็นเงินไทยตกประมาณ 1,100 บาทนิด ๆ เท่านั้น แต่สิ่งที่ได้รับกลับมากกว่าราคาเยอะมาก เจ้าของที่พักน่ารัก ใส่ใจ ช่วยแนะนำสถานที่เที่ยวอย่างละเอียด ทำให้เรารู้สึกอบอุ่นเหมือนอยู่บ้านเพื่อน และตอนวันกลับ เขายังอาสา ขี่มอเตอร์ไซค์ไปส่งเราถึงป้ายรถเมล์ด้วยตัวเอง เป็นความใส่ใจเล็ก ๆ ที่น่ารักและน่าประทับใจมากจริง ๆ

After coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time. Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊 Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away. ⸻ ⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe. Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃. 🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy) Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here. If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️

We had 3 nights at Harmony in a room with no window, but it did not feel claustrophobic at all. We did have trouble finding it due google maps playing up and we ended up at the sister hotel further up the hill. Thankfully, one of the owners ran up the hill and met us to take us to the correct one Entry to the hotel is a pain when it pouring down with rain while trying to input your details for the QR code. But this was clearly detail in the listing descritption and previous reviews had mentioned this. A huge help would be to to put a larger sign identifying the hotels location. See photo with circle around the name…. Very easy to miss. During the stay, it was very quiet and extremely clean in possible the best location to old street. Literally 30 seconds away. Walk a little bit further and theres a 7-11 and family mart across the street. The wifi is w10/10 so very good for digital nomads. I highly recommend harmony and would definitely stay again.

The transportation is very convenient, with High-Speed Rail, Taiwan Railways, and the MRT all nearby, just about a 10-minute walk away. There's also a bus stop right in front. The bed linens were very clean and had no strange odors. There are many great food options in the nearby mall.

Disposable towels are sold for $30, but since I wasn't sure how many I would use during my two-day stay, I went to the market and bought a single towel for $50. I was unable to use Wi-Fi in bed for one day. Other than that, the location was good, and it was clean and nice.

The place has a beautiful Japanese-style vibe and is very clean and well maintained. The balcony offers a lovely panoramic view of Jiufen, which really adds to the overall experience. I stayed here for one night and was very satisfied with the stay. I stayed in the Kanagawa Room located in the Kyushu Building. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and offered good value for money. One thing to note is that there are quite a lot of stairs to climb, and the homestay can be a little difficult to locate at first. However, the host provided detailed directions and was very responsive to messages, which made things much easier. Overall, I would definitely recommend this homestay for a short stay. A unique and memorable experience. Highly recommended.

Pros: The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious enough. There were free snacks available during afternoon tea. I was very satisfied to stay in a football-themed room during the World Cup. The air conditioning was strong and worked great! Downstairs, there's a supermarket, convenience store, and plenty of eateries, which was very convenient. Cons: The location is a bit far from the nearest MRT station, about a ten-minute walk. My booking stated check-in was at 4 PM, but upon arrival, I was told the previous guest had extended their stay ('added an hour'), so I couldn't check in until after 7 PM. I had to leave my luggage at the front desk temporarily. This issue really deducted some points from the service.

Great value for money! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff provided excellent service. The location made it easy to get around the city. Perfect choice for travelers looking for an affordable and pleasant stay.

The reception staff was very friendly. I didn't have dinner there. The equipment was a bit old. Breakfast was available the next day, but it was simple. There was nothing special to order. I had thick slices, boiled eggs, and tomatoes that day. The air was pretty good.
