Fabulous time was had by all 16 of us. Loads of activities for young and old, you can be very active or just chill. Food was amazing, lots of choice and fresh every day, cakes, pastries and bread were delicious. Pools were clean and apart from x3 big pools, there was an Olympic size pool, a shallow pool and a splash park. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, rooms cleaned everyday, everywhere in the hotel was clean mind. Entertainment team were really good fun and evening entertainment was varied. All inclusive option really good value. Drinks were proper drinks and not watered down( like you get in some resorts) and the bar snacks available throughout the day were very good. Cake was arranged for my husband’s 60th birthday at no extra cost. Very good location, very good bus and taxi services at very reasonable prices, not far from town where good choice of bars and restaurants if needed. The staff work really hard and you get the feeling that they really enjoy their jobs which made our stay a very welcoming and relaxing one. This resort has got it very right. Thank you all so much, none of us wanted to go home 😀

The reception staff and staff in the Royal level restaurant were perfect. We celebrated 2 birthdays during our stay and they went out of their way to make it memorable . The only improvements to make would be to have a separate Royal level bar in the evenings with premium drinks, as we have had this in other venues owned by the Barcelo group.. We were also disappointed with the final day when we were not leaving til late afternoon, we could not keep the room on and the showers that we were offered were in the main toilets with no privacy. Overall we had a great 2 weeks and would return to this hotel.

What a find! This modern, spacious and well equipped two-storey villa has 5 bedrooms and is a world of luxury. A 20-25 minute walk from the airport along a safe dual use cycle path / footpath, you don't need a taxi or a bus. We booked Magma Rooms for the first 2 nights of a 7 day visit, as was arriving late 10pm+ from the UK. A second night at Magma was good to explore nearby restaurants and visit the beach in the day. What can I say about the room? It had everything you needed from free-to-use safe, flat screen TV, power shower, hairdryer, fan, extra pillows and blankets. In the shared facilities there is a Nespresso machine and mini bar fridge (pay via honesty box) as well as wine glasses, bottle opener etc. They have thought of everything! After check-out we then walked back to the airport to catch the # 161 bus to Puerto del Carmen (1.40€ each).

We spent two weeks at Casa de Hilario in Feb/March. The house is a traditional rural house outside the village of Yaiza in the centre of Lanzarote. Our bedroom was large and comfortable with views to the village and one of the many small volcanic peaks. Breakfasts were buffet style and self service, with tables indoors and outdoors on the large garden terrace. The food was fresh and the service from Lucia was excellent. The house was unstaffed in the afternoons and evenings and there was no bar or coffee facilities, which we missed. The guests all learned to stock up on snacks and drinks in the local supermarket. There is a good, traditional restaurant (Bodega de Santiago) next door for those who don't want to travel too far to eat, though our favourite restaurant was the nearby, sister property Casona de Yaiza which was excellent (we ate there four times). A good base for travelling around the island and will suit those who seek peace and tranquility in a lovely village. Not so good for those seeking a lively nightlife.

We booked the hotel (rather late in the day) as part of an Inntravel package - and only then read some of the negative reviews here. Our experience of the hotel brought us to an opposite conclusion. The location on the edge of the small town of Yaiza is not remote, but quiet and tranquil, and only a relatively short drive to the southernmost beaches and resorts, rugged coastal path, or in other directions, the amazing Timanfaya National Park. The room we had was next to the pool (very cold, but invigorating!), and was clean, spacious, and had a great shower and a very comfortable bed. It was cleaned daily, and the only improvement we would suggest is that it could benefit from having a couple of chairs (it had one plastic chair). Some other rooms seemed to be a little more opulent, but the one we had was more than adequate for our needs, and met out expectations Breakfast, served in the courtyard, was wholesome, with a wide and plentiful choice of fresh fruits, cereals, yogurts, ham, salami, cheese and breads etc. The breakfast staff, who worked very hard, were fantastic, charming and infinitely patient. Evening meals at the restaurant (which is not run by the hotel, as far as we understood the situation) was a relaxed, very tasty and friendly experience. The management were there to help and advise, and we didn't feel any negative vibes. We had a very relaxing time at the hotel, and wish it and its charming staff well for the future.

Upon arrival room was ready and had to check in at 5pm we arrived at 1pm. There is no where to store luggage safely so be prepared to leave it in a room any guest has access too. The bungalows are really really tired. I'm talking holes in the walls, tape on the door. Locks on the front doors not working and having screws hanging out, Rust in the bath tub etc. There is also no air con so be prepared to either open a window and get eaten alive by mosquitos or sweat the night away. The kitchen was so bad it had swelled chipboard on the cupboards sockets that didn't work and dated appliances. We didn't use the pool because the minute we arrived toy could just see how poorly maintained it was and we didn't want to risk it. I'm talking rust inside the pool and on the bottom you could see stones or some sort of debris which just put us off. After our first day one of the small pools was shut off. Didn't bother us as again they looked grim and dirty. They only clean your room 3 days a week and it's not a big clean as our room still had hairs on the floor. The only plus side is the location. It's really near the sea and along as your fit you can walk along the front to a few different beaches and bars. I myself would never return as honestly I'm lay in bed here at 5 am dripping in sweat as I can't sleep as it's too hot and opening a window will be opening the door to a feast for mosquitos.

HIPOTEL Natura Palace was the best hotel we have ever stayed in. On arriving at hotel we were greeted by a man with a trolley who immediately picked up our cases and took them inside and eventually to our room.We had emailed hotel a few weeks previously to ask for Almond milk with no sugar for my wife. At reception they informed us that this had been done. Room was large, cleaned every day with tea and coffee replenished every day. Restaurant was large and finding a table was easy for breakfast and dinner. Food was excellent. Two large swimming pools with easy access to sunloungers and umbrellas whenever we went there, be it morning or afternoon. Staff were very pleasant and helpful always with a smile. There was a small supermarket across the road for basic items. Buses ran every half hour toPlaya Blanca. We had a very restful ,pleasant holiday at HIPOTEL Natura Palace

Fantastic hotel. Recently stayed and the building itself is so interesting, the room spacious, and the hotel staff were all so friendly and welcoming. My husband and I stayed all-inclusive and there is a brilliant selection of food and drink throughout the day. Absolutely loved the pool and the Piano Bar (cocktails are so good!) The hotel even has a mini museum. Everything was so clean. Also, loved the location as you go out the pool area gates and the beach is right in front of you. My husband and I made the most of the great location and went for a run every morning and walk every evening as the route along the seafront has been pedestrianised so it was not only beautiful but also felt very safe. Had such a wonderful stay that we're already planning a return.

We had booked to stay at a Villa in Puerto Del Carmen for a fortnight but needed alternative accommodation for the first two nights due to flights. We decided on Club Del Carmen. Service from staff was great, very helpful and friendly. Our apartment was very clean and spacious with a great view overlooking the pool with the sea just behind. Club Del Carmen is very eco friendly. Great to have a tap with drinking water in our room. You could use the pool at any time during its opening hours but sun beds had to be booked. You could book a morning or afternoon slot. They said it’s usually one slot per day per room, but if people don’t show up for their slot within 30 mins the lifeguard will look to see if there is space for you. We thought the booking system was a great idea. We ate at the restaurant on-site Baily Bar for one of the evenings, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. We were very happy with our short stay and would look to stay again in the future.

We were offered a complimentary coffee whilst we waited for our room to be ready. The room has everything you need and we had a lovely view of the Arrecife coast. The beds were comfortable as were the other amenities with bonus points for a great bathroom and powerful shower! Towards the evening we spent time on the top floor in the hotels 'Solarium' which featured a hot tub and more glorious views of the Arrecife coast. We would not hesitate to book again as we found our stay to represent excellent value!

Me pareció muy mal de su parte.

This was our 10th visit here! We have always come here as it has been our paradise! This visit I have only rated 4 star for the reasons being we were a couple who have always requested a ground floor pool view junior suite. On arrival which was 21.45 we were told they only had a family room available! Which we took has we’d been travelling all day and just wanted to chill out! The room was ok but there was no pool view instead our balcony was facing the building site. Again we were told they were full!so we just bared with it and never used the balcony which was disappointing! From day 1 we went to reception and asked different staff about a late checkout! Was told come back the day before so the day before I went back and was told come back the day of checkout! I stated I had been asking all week just to secure this as our flight was 22.30. Was told again to come back on checkout day! So the next day at 8 in the morning went back and was told NO as they were full!! What is the point of trying to give enough notice ? The hotel to me was overbooked all the time! We have been coming 8 years and never seen it as full! Sun beds reserved from crack of dawn every day! Also on the day of check out we were given a bill to settle from the pool bar which wasn’t ours! The same happened to another couple who checked out the same time as us too so the management need to find out who is having free drinks and giving other peoples room numbers! A better more secure system needs to be in place as this is fraud and theft!! Whether we will decide to come back an 11th time we don’t know!

Booked this last minute and was a wee bit sceptical with it only having 2 stars but the reviews convinced me it was worth a try . Well not disappointed in the least . Reception staff very polite and pleasant and made a point of saying not to reserve sunbeds . Sea view room 221 which basically gets the sun in it all day and yep gets hot but the ceiling fan and portable fan soon got it cool ..Lounge/kitchen area a cracking size with television , hotplate fridge micro wave kettle etc . Couch etc were very clean and comfy . As was the room very well cleaned . Bathroom bit on the small size but perfectly adequate . Bedroom good size with plenty of storage and hangers with a safe in wardrobe that is 15 euro for the week to hire . 3 Different notices in room telling you not to reserve sunbeds .. So first morning looks out at 7.15 and there is already at least half a dozen reserved . Looked out again at 7.45 and the towels had been removed by staff and placed on a table close by ....Same as the day went on towels removed from un attended beds . So looks like sunbed issue has been addressed . But there was always plenty of free beds during the day never had any trouble getting two . Pool like most is initially quite chilly when getting in but within minutes it is very refreshing and pleasant and a good size saw them cleaning it most mornings . Position is absolutely ideal just 30 seconds from ***** but with no noise whatsoever to disturb you if your early to bed . Never used the snack bar but the prices looked very reasonable same as drink prices. Would i stay here again without a doubt excellent position and a really good room and facilities dont let the 2 stars fool you

PPengguna TetamuI was made feel very welcome when I arrived at Pension Magec. The hospitality I received from the management and other guests was amazing. Its a very friendly place. The property is very clean and my room was cleaned everyday. The management are extremely helpful. The management will go out of their way ensure that guests needs are met all times. Carla is lovely as are everyone else works there including Sandi the manager The view from the top veranda is stunning. The guests can sit and have a drink and chat together on the veranda. As a solo traveller you would never be lonely and its very safe. Everyone talks to each other when up on the veranda. You are made feel welcome by both management and other guests at all times. There is always someone to talk to. I felt we were like a big happy family. There is free tea and coffee at the property. I would highly recommend Pension Magec as its very central. Limited english channels on TV but generally a great hotel with friendly & helpful staff, particularly at reception. Its a large place & breakfast area can get a bit busy at times so happy we didn't have to worry about looking after children.. The internet connection is zero on the 2nd floor but good in the reception area. Shortish walks to restaurants/bars/shops in both directions. We didn't try eating in the hotel restaurant but will next time. All round a very good find for us & we will be returning!

MMichaelJohnthis hotel is perfect if you want easy way to get to airport the next day. there is a bus stop 5 min walk away, the buses connect all the island. the staff are efficient and polite. they helped me print my boarding pass at no charge. I didn't try the dinner buffet(half a dozen dishes)but looked good for about 18 euros. there is a big map of arrecife on the wall that you can photo and use to get around the city. we had a sea view room,recommended the view is nice.

Great location as a base, close to bars, restaurants, beach and the airport. We stayed in a self catering apartment for 7 nights, the room was spacious, clean, no bad smells or insects. The bathroom needs an extractor fan and the bedroom could do with some draws. The wardrobe is large but there may not be enough room for a longer stay/family staying in there. We were on the quieter side of the complex and there was a lift to the first floor we stayed on so easy access with cases etc. There appeared to be plenty of sunbeds however not much shade/umbrellas. The pool near the night bar is quieter(no music). People were lining up for the main pool before 10am and there probably isnt much room round that pool when the hotel is full. The towels and curtains in the room need replacing they are tired/worn/old. Kitchen seems well equipped for basic cooking although we didnt use it, you will need to bring or buy washing up supples. We didnt eat at the hotel but had a few drinks in the bars, they are expensive compared to bars outside the hotel. Wifi is hit and miss, if you can use your own internet package. Reception staff are helpful and friendly, they supplied an iron when requested and replaced the fan in the room as the first one didn't work well. Wish we had known about there being no a/c, you assume in this day and age all places will have it now. The window in the bedroom is no use as it opens out into a closed corridor so no air coming in and it is too high up.
