It costs less than 20 yuan to take a taxi from the hotel to Lanzhou West Station, and it is not far from Gansu Museum, about 10 yuan. It is not recommended to walk to Ganbo, which takes about 25 minutes.
The hotel is relatively private. The hotel is located on a high platform next to the auxiliary road under the elevated road. The Yellow River is a few dozen meters behind the hotel along the roadside. There is a large parking lot in front of the hotel. There is a small private hospital on the left and a convenience store on the right. Further to the right is a residential area blocked by a wall.
The hotel elevator is also very unique, and it can be said to be relatively private. The elevator control button is not in the elevator, but a separate keyboard is integrated outside the elevator. When the guest presses the floor, an English letter is displayed on the keyboard, instructing the guest to take the elevator with the corresponding letter. This elevator only goes to the floor where the guest presses, and will not share an elevator with other guests.
There are separate cloakrooms, bathrooms, and toilets in the room. You can see the Yellow River through the floor-to-ceiling windows. There are no attractions on both sides of the river corresponding to this section of the hotel. At night, I closed the floor-to-ceiling windows and still felt the wind on the floor in the room. Maybe it was because the wind was strong on the upper floors that night.
Unfortunately, I walked a lot that day and wanted to rest when I came back, so I didn't have the legendary special midnight snack, which is said to be very special beef noodles. The midnight snack coupon was given free of charge by the front desk when checking in.

It is near the Zhengning Road Food Pedestrian Street. Hu's steamed buns, beef noodles, and Ga Sao fried noodles, which have been on the late-night snack scene, are all nearby and can be reached on foot. This location is absolutely amazing👍
The room is a bit small, but the location in the city is understandable. There is no subway nearby, but there are buses at the south intersection of Zhengchang Road.
The facilities and equipment fully meet the requirements, and the heating is sufficient. The hotel has its own laundry room and gym. The Mercure brand is really smart and considerate.
The service is also good. The front desk robot has been busy coming in and out🤣The front desk receptionist gave a small gift before leaving💝

Walking into the room of Atour Hotel, I was immediately attracted by its spaciousness and cleanliness. Every detail in the room seemed to be carefully taken care of. I put down my luggage and walked to the window, and an amazing super night view immediately came into view. The lights of the city flickered like a sea of stars, and the Yellow River was downstairs. It was the right choice to choose this hotel. The next day, I was about to pack up and go out, and I heard a knock on the door. I opened the door and a smiling staff member stood outside the door. Her name is Kaiyan, and she is the aunt in charge of cleaning the room. She gently asked me if I needed help and asked if I needed to clean up. I said I could clean now. She was skilled and gentle, so I packed up and went out. While tidying up the room, Kaiyan noticed the clothes I soaked in the basin. She took the initiative to help me wash them. She not only washed the clothes cleanly, but also carefully helped me iron them flat. When I came back and saw those neat and new clothes, I couldn't help but feel a warm current in my heart. Kaiyan's service is not only considerate, but also full of care. Her smile and enthusiasm made me feel at home. I spent several wonderful nights in this spacious and tidy room. Whenever night falls, I will sit by the window and enjoy the charming night view. Kaiyan's attentive service adds a touch of warmth and comfort to my journey. I sincerely thank her and the hotel for providing me with such a wonderful accommodation experience.

Love the room design and grateful for the free treats. The location is around 10mins walk to the lanzhou west train station, however during my stay there, part of the road was under construction, so it wasn't the most easiest to get around especially when the round overhead bridge only had stairs. Nearby there are lots of malls and place to eat. For the room itself, despite the cosy ambience, it rirks of smoke smell especially on my first day. At night, it's even worst as the air filter started leaking more cigarettes stench into my room. There is also no hairdryer provided. And what happened to the mountain view room I was supposed to have? The view outside is just the road and some dirty cityscapes. I was so looking forward to that 🫤. I was also locked out of my room after the first night, and luckily one of the cleaner helped me unlock my room and save me from making another trip down to the receptionist. Overall I will still recommend a stay.

Orange Crystal is pretty good. The room is spacious and bright, and the service is thoughtful and enthusiastic. The location is excellent, very close to Lanzhou West Station, the taxi starting price is about ten minutes walk. In the evening, you can go to Zhongshan Bridge to see the night view, and go to Xinguang Night Market to eat some snacks. It is also very close to Gansu Provincial Museum, where you can see the museum's BMW Stepping on Flying Swallow and learn about the history of the Hexi Corridor.

PPeterThis is a very nice hotel right on a pedestrian street lined with food stalls and restaurants. At night mobile food carts get rolled in and positioned along the center of the street adding yet more food choices! In addition to this, just a short walk away is a huge pedestrian shopping street along with an underground shopping complex accessed through street level escallators.
Although the hotel is on a pedestrian street it is really just about 3/4 block from a street with vehicle access. This hotel is a bit difficult to find though, because individual street address numbers are difficult to find. The best thing is to look for a huge Hanting Hotel logo on the right side of the pedestrian street as you head up from the traffic street along the river. The sign is blue with a white horse! The entrance to the hotel itself looks more as if you are entering a coffee shop because of the street entrance signage. But power past all the tables for people having coffee, and you can find the hotel front desk at the back.
As mentioned before, the hotel is quite close to the Yellow River and just a short walk to the ”Iron Bridge” (AKA Zhongshan Bridge) and all that neighborhood offers!
One drawback to the hotel is that to get into the entrance there are some narrow steps. Level entrances are always best!
Yet, I would definitely stay in this hotel again! (And when you are in Lanzhou, be sure to try Lanzhou Beef Noodles!)

GGuest UserNice hotel next to Tuanjie Xincun Metro Station Line 2, but not up to 5star level. We stayed for 3 nights, as I had prepaid. No English spoken either at the front desk or breakfast cafe. Room was on the 26th floor with a magnificent view looking South. Quiet room, smallish and with little hanging space and no safety box. Breakfast was Chinese and underwhelming. Nice indoor heated pool, but quite crowded with outsiders allowed to swim there. Fantastic gym with everything you could need and all to yourself. Probably stay here again for one night if the price was right. As a day trip, we went to Bingling Si. Take Metro to QiLiHe station on line 1. Walk east past KFC, take the 2nd pedestrian overpass, turn right then left after the touts near the public toilets. This is the Lanzhou West Bus Station. We caught the 9am bus for 23 yuan cash only and only available on the day. At the other end, organised a car for 4 people for 320 yuan. Last bus back at 5:30. It will leave earlier if full. Near QiLiHe station, great coffee place at 76 Jian Gong Xi Jie. Back from the bus station, past KFC, past Metro, left into Jian Gong Xi Jie. Try the 'dirty coffee '

Nice hotel if you look pass the querks.
Breakfast and laundry is a trudge to its sister hotel through an open corridor that channels and accelerate the wind. Think cold winter morning and night.
Metal door handles on the outside of the entrance.
Room access card for the lift automatically lights up multiple floors. Try this when you get a top floor room.

Front desk is peculiar. Friendly BUT!
They are not very knowledgeable about local information.
They request repeatedly for direct booking for subsequent night stays BUT they will only match the best price you can find online. What about my loyalty points and promo coupons?
They also pester for perfect reviews and ratings. But they will only give generic responses, albeit politely. Very system generated barely matching current AI tech.

GGuest UserThe service of ”Hello Hotel” is very considerate. The drivers who pick us up at the airport are very enthusiastic, especially the driver who picked us up at night. He not only picked us up on time, but also took us to taste the authentic local beef noodles, which made people feel the strong human touch. The front desk service of the hotel is also warm and thoughtful. When checking in, they thoughtfully prepared a welcome fruit plate, which made people feel at home. The breakfast is also packed and can be taken away without delaying the flight. The room is very spacious, bright, clean and tidy. Whether it is the sanitary environment or the comfort, it is impeccable. The stay experience is very pleasant and highly recommended!

GGuest UserAmazing experience. The staff is really helpful and they gave me good tips what to do and eat in Lanzhou. They also spoke English which is always appreciated in China. They helped me to deliver a package without questions. It is close to a metro station and west railway station. Really good restaurants just around the corner. The common areas are really nice. JJinzhulamuYou can walk or take a taxi from the high-speed rail station. The starting price of a taxi in Tianshui is 5 yuan. It is close to the Gansu Provincial Museum. There are buses and subways nearby, which is very convenient. The interior of the room is comfortable and the bedding is comfortable. I recommend it if you want to stay near the West Railway Station.

… this is the hotel to stay especially if you are an independent traveller!
Even before arrival we reached out to Li and she promptly promised to send a car to meet us upon arrival at Langzhouxi. The Tumendun metro station is right in front of the hotel. So is the bus stop which serves buses running to several Lanzhou attractions.
Aside from the obvious locational advantages the thing that strikes me most is the warmth and hospitality of the family running the place. Everyone from father, mother, 2 sons to DIL was eager to help with any questions that we might have. We couldn’t believe how patient they were in providing invaluable insights for the benefit of the tourist.
The room and bathroom were kept clean. Hot and cold water were readily available as well as a kettle.
We are grateful and would like to thank the whole family for treating us like family during our short stay here!
