Ulasan Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort

I spent four nights in the excecutive suite of the new wing and i was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and excellent standard of this beautiful resort near the airport, which was not noticeable at all (no planes flying over or near the location). The hotel staff was always attentive, friendly and helpful. The beach was kept clean, the schools of little fish in the water indicating its purity. The restaurant Allegro's breakfast buffet offered a variety of different cuisine to choose from: tasty , fresh, appetizingly displayed. i especially enjoyed the local filipino treats like puto and bibinki. In addition i thoroughly enjoyed my vegetarian pizza at Delfino's and the refreshing thrist-quenching freshly-made juices at the juiceBar. I received two very relaxing treatments by Ms.Aileen at the Spa, with its peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Housekeeper Ms.Rose was impeccable at making sure i always had new bottles of drinking water. Although i did not require her daily housekeeping, my room stayed clean , towels orderly and my laundry was in perfect condition , delivered on time. This beautiful Resort deserves a five star rating in my humble opinion. Bravo and Thank you Bluewater Maribago, i know where i will be staying when i come back to the Philippines in the near future.

I loved staying here for a week. The staff were amazing and friendly. The breakfast was great and other dining options superb. A superb experience.

Best sunrise private beach on Mactan island. Watch out for renovations on their private sandbar though.

Bluewater Maribago Resort is a great place with an amazing service from its staff. I highly recommend this place.

I've visited CEBU and Bluewater resort many times. I don't know when I will visit again CEBU, but NEVER the Bluewater. I stayed Amuma spa suite. - 1st room : the smell of a sewer in bath room/ roosters' crowing/ Road Noise So asked transfer room to same Amuma suite level at the other part near Main pool but rejected. She said different category that cannot use it. 2nd room : Barking / Road Noise - Pool water is not clean. Main pool even bad smells. - Beach also smells bad - Many electrical outlets are loose (Both room) - I knew the breakfast buffet was not good, but become worse this time.

All the staff are very friendly and approachable. We also enjoyed the food though it's a bit pricey. I've read a couple of reviews stating that their bed was damp, so that was the very first thing I checked when we entered the room. Fortunately, we had a dry one and everything looked clean. Overall, we had a great and pleasurable stay.

We stayed at Bluewater Maribago as a family with two little boys (2 years and 2 months, and 5 months old), right after a long journey from Germany—and it was exactly what we needed. We originally booked 3 nights but extended to 4 because it was just the perfect place to adjust to the climate and recover. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and incredibly family-friendly. The pools were a big hit with the kids, and while we didn’t swim much at the beach, our toddler spent hours happily playing in the sand. That kind of distraction made everything easier for us as parents. The food was outstanding—we had the breakfast and dinner buffet daily at Allegro Restaurant and loved the variety and quality. But what really made this stay special was the staff. The resort’s core value, Amuma (a Bisaya word meaning to pamper or care), isn’t just a slogan—it’s something you feel in every interaction. Big thanks to Joyce and the welcoming team at the Allegro entrance, Jeff and Richell from the juice bar who took great care of us in the afternoons, and especially Carlos at the kinilaw buffet, who we saw more than once step through a potted plant (literally) to help guests at the nearby self-service station. That kind of extra effort and warmth was everywhere. If you’re arriving in Cebu with kids—or just need a peaceful, genuine place to land—this is it. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and truly cared for.

Mixed Experience at Maribago Blue Waters Maribago Blue Waters has always held a special place in our hearts, as we’ve loved coming here since we were kids. However, during our recent stay, we noticed some areas that could use improvement. While the more expensive rooms are definitely worth the price, the deluxe rooms at 7k don’t quite live up to expectations. They feel outdated, like they haven’t been updated in 20 years. The restaurant and spa are also quite pricey, especially the spa, which felt a bit too expensive for what it offers. During weekends, the resort can get pretty crowded, likely due to the number of walk-in guests. However, the staff are super friendly and always make you feel welcome. One highlight of our stay was the amazing breakfast, offering a great variety from local Filipino favorites to international dishes. We especially loved the guy selling "taho"—it brought back some wonderful childhood memories! While we still have a soft spot for Maribago Blue Waters, it feels like some things need improvement to live up to the resort’s reputation.

A great resort with everything you need and more . Fab service and lovely people . We will be back

Our room was very big, but there was a weird smell, but that may be die to the renovations I’ve been making. We stayed in the development that was not completely done. Excellent pools and a very nice beach area offers, if you’re willing to spend the money, anything you’d like to do at a beach. there’s a bar along seafood bar we can get oysters crab, and even lobster.

Stayed in a new building on the 4th floor. It is one of the best rooms that I have stayed at in the Philippines. Nice large modern room and bathroom. Elevator was fast. Had a great Italian jount on the first floor that made great pizzas. Nice 9' Brunswick pool table. The pool is a little dated but refreshing. Hard to find a place to sit on weekends but the beach is nearby. Wanted to go jet skiing but only if one of the staff rode on back. I opted out of that. Oyster bar, bar was great for happy hour and friendly staff made great drinks. All the staff were super friendly! If I hadn't gotten food poisoning on the island (not here) it would have been so much better.
