Hotel overall was good. Definitely not a 5* but we enjoyed our visit. We paid extra for a sea view room, which was lovely and room was spacious with a fabulous shower area and lovely balcony that had sun on the evening. However rooms were tired, walls marked and broken floor tiles. Also phone didn’t work so had to visit reception to order room service. Pool area was lovely. Different water temperatures, lots of beds available whatever time you wanted one, however again these need to be changed as quite dirty. The pool restaurant was great. Lovely food, drinks and service but the chairs were grubby. Beach outside the hotel was beautiful. Visited Le Faro restaurant and food was tasty but no ambience. Too bright and music barely audible so just quiet and occasional voices. Need to dim lights and put some decent music on. The Piano Bar was lovely and the couple of entertainers were good, especially the lady on Tuesday. Our biggest disappointment was the resort. Purpose built but not having any personality. The bars and restaurants are either on the road or in a shopping centre. We don’t come on holiday to sit in a shopping centre to eat. Along the sea front there were big areas of land that could have had the bars built on to give nice views. There was also a big paddle court area. Why position this on the sea front? Nobody playing will be looking at the lovely beach and view. Restaurants were too ‘chav’ and very British oriented. One good one we did find was Hopscotch which we’d recommend. Overall we had a good holiday but wouldn’t return, mainly due to resort.

This is the first time back at this hotel for a few years and the 5* rating is slipping quite drastically. The rooms are still nice and the pool areas are good but there seems to be cut backs in other areas. The towels are now quite flimsy and not what you would expect at 5*. The food quality is mixed and choices are not as good as previous - steak every night can get a bit boring. Noisy clients seem to be on the rise and the responses from the hotel are not always prompt. Not what you expect from a 5* at such a price paid.

I've stayed here many times - last time in september 2022. The staff at the reception are so lovely, and always give me a warm welcome and are otherwise very helpful. Early check-in, late check-out, room allocation, cant fault it - its usually no problem (depending on capasity of course). Stayed 2 nights this time, shortly after going to my room i got a lovely surprise delivered to the room. It was very much appreciated! Breakfast is wonderful, with everything you could desire. Staff there and in the pool bar was nice and helpful (minus one time at the pool bar, waited and did not get served). Im coming back in July this year, and cant wait!

I regularly go to the H10 group of hotels (lanzarote princess. Timanfaya Palace, Rubicon Palace, Porto Poniente, Conquistador) They are all great. I have had my eye on the Meloneras Palace for a number of years and have just come back after a week. I liked it so much i have booked for next year. I stayed in a Junior Suite Privilege. Its well worth the upgrade. The Privilege restaurants are top noch. Buffet is really good too. Breakfast excellent and the staff are wonderful. Always happy to help and smiling. Its the size of the hotel that gets me. Its huge and long. Loads of beds, not over crowded and the pool is a great temperature. There is a walk on the front via a promenade to Maspalomas which i did 3/4 times. Good shops and bars. Its a 20 minute walk but very pleasant. I think its worth a visit.

This hotel is great in many ways but felt compelled to write this as we’ve become more frustrated as our holiday has progressed. Positives: Lovely modern, spacious & clean hotel. Beautifully appointed rooms. We were a group of 8 and had the 3 bed family room and it suited our needs perfectly. The weather was also spot on for an October getaway. Negatives: We weren’t offered a welcome drink on arrival when all other groups were. This wasn’t too much of an issue but this was just the start of the inconsistencies throughout our stay. We were given no info on arrival as apparently all info is available in the app. This wasn’t the case so we ended up going back to reception a few times. Housekeeping is poor & staff generally are rude. We were Provided with 4 waters in our room daily for 8 of us & given 4 cups so we had to have drinks in rounds! Most days we didn’t have enough towels and they didn’t replenish the amenities in the room often either. We bought teabags from the Dino store and the box went missing after our room was cleaned. Sun beds by the pool are ridiculously uncomfortable. The lifeguard at the pool was useless. Absolutely no point in having one. He sat at ground level so had no view of the two pools and would have a major blind spot across the baby pool behind the inflated dome. He sat on his phone for the majority of the day, I never once saw him monitor the pools and often he would get up and leave his post without a replacement. Some big kids were fighting on the inflatable dome and pushing little kids off, right infront of where he was stationed and he was too busy on his phone to even notice and a parent had to ask him to intervene. For a hotel this size they really need an extra restaurant or two. Breakfast is like feeding time at the zoo. 10 man deep queues for tea and coffee at machines and egg stations. Staff wouldn’t get you hot drinks like in most hotels at breakfast so you had no choice but to join the queues which got worse when the machines broke. 3 mugs provided on tables set for 8ppl. Huge queues for restaurant to open at breakfast and dinner. Can only imagine this gets worse during peak times in the summer. Our most worrying concern was how the hotel deals with allergies. Two of us in our party have nut allergies and were asked to fill out a form on check in to be passed to the kitchen which we assumed was a really positive step. But the form seemed useless as there was no follow up. We had to wait to catch the chef walking out of the kitchen for him to take us around each eve to show us what we could eat - only he got it wrong on a few occasions and meals were clearly scattered with nuts so it felt really risky. Nuts are in a lot of the dishes here so selection was really limited throughout the stay which I’ve never found at any other hotel before. Nuts were also in most of the children’s food selection, making for some tricky mealtimes for my daughter all week who has lived on pasta and chips. There was no

From entering the hotel until leaving 1 week later, we felt extremely happy that we had chosen this hotel. The hotel, rooms & grounds are kept exceptionally clean. All of the staff were very pleasant & helpful. We particularly loved the various Palm trees in the grounds. We stayed on half board & the food was excellent with a wide choice. The hotel is in a great position with direct access to the seafront walkway. There are plenty of nice shops close by & easy access to taxis & the nearby bus station. I used the gym, jacuzzi & took part in the morning yoga sessions. It was so relaxing lying on the plentiful sunbeds where I was able to dip into one of the 5 pools & order drinks & snacks from the waiting staff. We would without hesitation, recommend this hotel.
