Love the stay at Eiger! Hotel was opposite the train station and butler was at the train station to help us with the luggage without even us asking for help. Got a room with the mountain view and it’s so beautiful! Definitely recommended and would love to come back to this hotel if we were to be back at Mürren. Thanks Adrian for helping us w the luggages to the train station when we are going back as well!

I've been coming to Regina for several decades. It has always been a home away from home. It is one of very few hotels that has managed to keep the luxury and allure throughout many years. They adhere to a very high standard on every level. For many it might feel antiquated, but if you're looking for something that is truly unique, that has stood the test of time and is not just another generic modern day luxury hotel, this is the place to be. There's not many hotels where you can sit in a lounge by a warm log fire, playing a board game while a pianist is playing. It's a hotel that is filled with history, warmth and kindness.

My husband and I stayed here for the first leg of our honeymoon. The hotel was a little outside our price range, but we decided to treat ourselves, and we were not disappointed! Our room had a gorgeous balcony view of the Alps and the Lauterbrunnen valley. The breakfast buffet was amazing- cold cuts, lots of fresh fruit, breads, a large selection of jams, and eggs to order. We also finished every night of our stay with a trip to the hot tubs/spa area. Sitting in the outdoor hot tub during a heavy snowfall was definitely a honeymoon highlight. We also loved the hotel location- it's so close to the Wenger train station that it made exploring the rest of the mountain area with day trips so easy to plan. We had an amazing stay and would strongly recommend Hotel Silberhorn if you're looking for a hotel with a great view and yummy breakfast!

Our room was opposite the lift, room 208 but we're fine it as not many human traffic movements heard during our stay. Thanks to the hotel arrangement for the room facing the mountains and it was phenomenal and picturesque. Memorable! One thing to note that the door at the balcony was a bit at the loose end, that you have to push really hard to lock it. It was super chilly in the evening, sometimes the warmer works but sometimes it doesn't, in the event if the temperature outside drop to below -10°, the room will be super cold and you have to rely on the blankets to keep you warm instead. Overall, the room, free WIFI, breakfast and public facilities did meet our expectation. The wellness area on the other hand, is a bit over-crowded in the evening and there were no signs of free towel anywhere. I'd figure out myself that the towels are available in each of the compartment in the wellness area as long as there are no other belongings from guests. There's a small playground right in front of the hotel, had some fun with my kid playing snow and slide.

I love this place and can’t recommend it enough. This is the second time I stayed— once last summer for 3 days and then for over a week now, in June 2024 (solo both times). I needed a bit of a break from life and unplug, and the kindness and hospitality of the staff made my stay feel like a home away from home. If you feel hesitant about booking due to lack of amenities like fridge or microwave in rooms, I can assure you it’s not an issue nor burden. Again, I stayed here for 8 days and was perfectly fine and able without either! I didn’t even need them. I also left very early before breakfast (crack of dawn) and the staff was so kind to pack me a breakfast and even some sandwiches. I hadn’t even asked! The home away from home feeling here is unmatched.

We absolutely love this hotel, it has been our happy place for many years, with the fabulous staff greeting us like old friends. The rooms are spacious with excellent facilities, and the views are breathtaking. The food is absolutely delicious, with excellent menu choices, (we must shout out to Felix, Aleena and the restaurant team, for their professional and friendly service, simply exceptional). Interlaken is a beautiful, quaint little town and the Stella hotel is in a great location close to the Interlaken West train station and near the landing field for paragliding, both of which were great for us. Our room had a stunning view of the mountains! The breakfast was so good with fresh croissants and fruit and a self serve omelette station and espresso machine as well as bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. The breakfast room is lovely and Jean, the food manager on most days we were there, is a gem. So attentive and sweet. Astrid at the front desk was helpful too. My husband used the small workout area and pool which has glass all around with a lovely view. Our main disappointments were with our room. Though spacious, it was very dated with exposed metal rods supporting shelving and random furniture and an old lamp in the seating area…Not like the website photos. The biggest functional issue is there is no AC. Because it was unseasonably warm for October, we had to leave the glass doors open and could hear all the street noise early in the morning when we were trying to sleep. We requested a fan for white noise (thank you, Astrid) and that helped some. I can’t imagine staying there when it’s warmer. With that said, we were not in our room except to sleep so we still enjoyed all the positives of the food, location and helpful staff.

PPengguna TetamuThis is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The furniture is pretty bare bones, but everything is so clean and so inviting. The people are so kind and helpful. There is a dining room where a delicious breakfast is served each morning. You can sign up to eat your evening meal here, as well. I would highly recommend it. The food is good, reasonably priced, and the service is so friendly. I realize that I have overused the word ”friendly”, but it is truly justified. The people who work here are kind and observant and do their best to make you feel welcome. They noticed that my teenaged daughter was interested in the rabbits in the pen and invited her to come in and feed them. They ask about your plans for the day and offer advice and resources. This was a lovely place and I would return in a heartbeat.

PPengguna TetamuThe worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and beware given they seemed to have scrubbed old reviews, the hotel is old and must have many reviews. They have managed to start afresh somehow. We were woken at 5am to the sound of dripping water above our heads which meant it ruined our day of hiking. The dripping persisted for 2hrs. The worst part was they told you which table you had to sit at, at breakfast. They seemed to put people they may have considered less desirable away from the window at the back. the bathroom stinks of a cross between an old peoples home and a hospital, you get a tiny sachet of shampoo and body wash so bring your own. The front desk lady is rude and abrasive and the old man managing the breakfast shouted at people to not touch the food when the breakfast is a buffet. The bedroom smelt of sweat. The rooms were dingy and none of the lights work in the room or the bathroom. Awful place. Stay anywhere but here.

PPengguna TetamuGreat location for a ski holiday and base for watching the World Cup races in Wengen. We stayed in a spacious family room for 2 adults and one child. Very clean, warm, lots of hot water and good wardrobe space. Hairdryer was good and plenty of electric sockets for charging. Breakfast was great with cereals, birchermüsli, cheese, bread, fruit, eggs, croissants etc. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We chose the half board option with a 3 course meal in the evening. Food was delicious and large portions after big ski days. Vegetarian and children were catered for. Excellent pasta dishes and steaks. Good wine list too. Waiters were very attentive and service was quick. Hotel is in a superb location. 3 minutes from the Stechelberg cable car, 7 minutes walk from train station and right beside the funicular so ski in / ski out. We hired a sleigh from the cable car station to transport our luggage to the hotel. 20 CHF deposit. Easy access to their boot room. Thank you for a lovely stay!

PPengguna TetamuHotel Falken The employed staff were wonderful, but we probably won’t go again. We had booked a south facing superior room with a balcony. The actual room was south facing with an amazing view, but the balcony was east facing and too small to use. Every evening on our return there were dead flies around a window – possibly due to nearby cows. We think the staff helpfully sprayed the flies daily – but why did they not get vacuumed up daily? A bigger problem was the never-ending creaky floors. We think due to the 1890s parquet flooring. Any movement around a bedroom during the night was a noisy nightmare for those below and around. We had a family above us with a baby for three nights who needed attention in the small hours. After the first night we raised the matter with the management and there was a little improvement as the family above tried very hard to be less noisy. We described the hotel as being shabby genteel – rather fitting for a previous reviewer calling the hotel Fawlty Towers. A plus for us was no television anywhere in sight. The food at breakfast and dinner was great and well presented – thank you. But suddenly on Saturday morning we found there was no dinner in the hotel that night or on the Sunday for which we had paid. (To be fair we were offered and accepted dinners at their very nice modern restaurant at the other end of Wengen – highly recommended.) On our initial arrival at Hotel Falken we were invited to sit in the lounge whilst the manager went to get us a welcome drink. How pleasant. Then she came and gave us a verbal list of meal-times, where and where not to put the key etc, etc, etc. Too much to take in after a 15-hour journey and could so easily have been in written form. This lady did not, at least to us, have a welcoming smile and was devoid of warmth. It was good to back in Wengen again.

Breakfast was complimentary and is hearty with eggs, fresh fruit, cereals, coffee tea and a variety of cheeses and meats with local bread. Check in was smooth and easy and the location is ideal within a 5 min walk from the train station. There is a laundromat within a 2 min walk from the hotel ( only takes Swiss Francs btw) The hotel is on the main thoroughfare and is within a 5 min walk to many restaurants, and the grocery store ( coop) Do not miss eating at the hotel restaurant ( house salad and the carrot ginger soup esp) Restaurant is open Tuesday thru Sunday only. The room keys open the front door( if you come back after the front door is closed and the reception staff are done for the day) and your room lock. The best part about being in this hotel apart from being in Lauterbrunnen, is the staff at the hotel. They are warm, friendly and very very sweet Special mention has to be made of Ms.Barbara, who is the sweetest and most efficient young lady. She always has a smile on her face , and is fantastic to be around. Thank you Barbara for making our stay extra special. We will definitely be back ..
