I originally booked 2 nights here and was very glad I had shortened it to one. I thought this was a newer property - but they have those obnoxious in-wall AC units in the room. The one in our tiny room had only 2 settings - on or off. So you either listened to a very loud fan or suffered being too warm. I had also requested at initial booking a room at the back of the hotel. I called a few weeks before again to make sure the hotel had my request and again a few nights before our checkin. I was told they were sold-out and couldn't accomodate my request. I have Titanium status and while I understand that doesn't mean that much - I was hoping it might allow me to at least have a room facing the back. Half the rooms face the front and the other half the back. I didn't ask for an upgrade - just a preferred location. While we were checking in - other people were checking in as well. So it wasn't as if the hotel was completely full with only 1 room left when we arrived. I asked again at check-in and was again told they were sold out - no rooms at the back of the hotel. I had booked for a return visit next month - but cancelled it. We both had a very poor night's sleep due to the AC unit. Breakfast was jammed - there really isn't enough seating. Thankfully it was nice enough to eat outside. Also inexplicably - you have to use your room key to get back in to the hotel from the outside eating area. It's a gated area and the only way into it from the outside surrounding area of the hotel is via room key at the gates. This gated area also has a grill for guests to use and a fire pit. It's a bit difficult to juggle whatever eating items you may try to be carrying and have to use a room key to get back into the hotel. We were puzzled by this. Unless there is some security risk in the area of which we were unaware. There are so many hotels in the Estero area. I'd skip this one and stay elsewhere.
