The Begnas Lake Resort & Villas

This has been the highlight of journey to Nepal. Lake Begnas Resort is an had the privilege to enjoy for day & nights. The place has managed to create a place where you are welcomed with open arms. The staff are serviceminded above expectations. All in all can highly recommend this place to everybody who wants to enjoy friendly and openhearted atmosphere, great food, smiling yoga and lovely ayurvedic treatments in a beautiful surrounding. Beside that they grow their own vegetables and focus on sustainability. You should definately go here!!!

Most gentle and polite staff. Animals and nature all around!! Truly a calming environment. Thank you for the experience, looking forward to come back next year. Pro tip: wake up early and catch the sunrise at the anapurna mountains tops....

This is an amazing place which puts you close to the nature and induces relaxation. We were on our hiking vacations in Nepal and The Begnas Lake Resort & Villas was our base near Pokhara. It is not a place for persons who cannot walk. To get in and out of the hotel to the road one has to climb almost 300 steps. The location of this resort is amazing. Gorgeous lakes and mountains. Beautiful views everywhere. Lush nature. Interesting plants. Swimming pool. Hammocks. Opportunity for boating. The cottages are nicely appointed and comfortable. The food was excellent. Breakfast was included and offered great variety of fresh options. We ate also 3 dinners there and they were very good. One evening there was life Nepalese music and dancing. Whenever we sat on the balcony and terrace to read a book or take advantage of better Wi-Fi they immediately offered free soft drinks - water or tea. The Wi-Fi in cottages is poor. We did not partake in the Ayurvedic spa treatments due to lack of time, but we met some European travelers staying for up to 2 months there for a variety of rejuvenating treatments. They loved it and bragged about the perceived health improvements. The treatments are apparently supervised by a physician. The owners are very attentive to their guests. Very interesting, kind and professional Polish-Nepalese couple trying their best to take care of their guests' every need. Given a chance we really want to be back at The Begnas Lake Resort & Villas for more hiking and perhaps the Ayurvedic spa treatments. After one gets up to the road, the hotel is a short walk away from other interesting villages.

Undoubtedly Beautiful resort working on sustainability. Toothbrush was not in part of amenities but separately chargeable plastic toothbrush was available. Bathrobe was also not available upon asked to reception however noticed foreigner guest were wearing dhaka bathrobe.Very limited choice for breakfast from set menu-not as expected. However, staffs were excellent .

This is one of the best hotels we've been to around the world. The resort has extraordinary views of the lake and the green and white Himalayas. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Everything is green and full of flowers and butterflies. We're looking forward to visiting it again.

We arrived at the resort by boat ride along the calm water of Begnas Lake, so fun! We had a very nice bungalow overlooking the lake and since it was raining while we were there, we did not try the pool. However, we enjoyed the food very much, particularly their papaya (the sweetest I've ever tried) and the grilled fish. The breakfast menu was great, too. The rooms are clean, good service, and the staffs were very friendly, nature and ambiance were perfect! The only minus point was that the resort involves lots of stairs so maybe it is not elderly/wheelchair friendly.
