Hotel berhampiran Hortensienpark Lengerich, Lengerich

Wir waren auf der Durchreise für eine Nacht zu Gast und haben uns über den professionellen und freundlichen Service an der Rezeption gefreut. Die Zufahrt zum Parkhaus und dessen Nähe zum Hotel (man wechselt kurz das Gebäude und fährt nicht mit dem Aufzug in die Lobby) sind perfekt - die pauschalen 15 EUR für 24h absolut angemessen. Das Zimmer war angenehm groß mit einer -allerdings nicht so einladenden- Sitzecke. Die mit der Reservierung erbetenen zusätzlichen Kissen und Decken lagen auf dem Bett - das klappt sonst in den seltensten Fällen. Leider ist die Beleuchtung am Waschbecken gekoppelt an die Beleuchtung im Zimmer. Die Leseleuchten am Bett waren fast ZU hell. Wir haben es leider nicht geschafft, die Lüftung abzustellen, die in unserem Zimmer auch noch genau auf das Bett zielte, so dass wir die Nacht im steten Luftstrom verbracht haben. Frühstück oder Wellness haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen. Check out bis 12 Uhr sorgt für eine entspannte Abreise. PS. Die Mitarbeiterinnen in der Uniform im Trachten-Look haben uns leid getan - wer denkt sich sowas aus?

This would once have been a reasonably decent business hotel, but sadly cheese-paring of the operating costs has left this place a 2-star establishment operating in the shell of a 4-star building. The plus points - it's well-located, easy to find, parking is directly underneath, staff are friendly by German hospitality standards, and the restaurant terrace is pleasant in the summer sun. It's also clean and well-maintained on the surface. Now the negatives - while the ambience is still business-guys-in-suits, the room facilities are distinctly Ibis Budget-standard. There's no tea & coffee equipment, the fridges have been removed, the toiletries are dispensers refilled with the cheapest Costco gunk, and the towels are thin to the point of transparency with the all the absorbency of plastic sheeting. None of which would be an issues if this *was* an Ibis Budget, but it's not charging Ibis Budget prices. And while I'm on a roll, the food & drink prices in the bar are outrageous, there's no gym, and the in-room wifi doesn't work - the system isn't configured properly, so the connections fail with lots of errors being displayed. I know, I know - first world problems, go and buy a coffee in the bar, haven't you got a mobile phone etc etc, But this is all purely due to operational cost-cutting - the housekeeping budget has obviously been slashed to ribbons post-Corona, and skimping on the towels is saving on the cashflow. It's all got the feel of something run by private equity ghouls who are busy extracting every last cent of profit before it all goes bankrupt. Frankly on a price-comparison basis, you'd be better booking the Ibis Budget down the road. The experience will be exactly the same, and you'll walk away €40 a night better off.

Sehr schönes Zimmer, toll eingerichtet alles das was Mann oder Frau für ein Wochenende brauch

We travelled with cats and stayed here because we could not find another, cheaper, hotel that accepted cats. The hotel charges a pet fee. The hotel supplied a blanket and three food bowls for the cats. It was a nice touch! Location: this hotel is centrally located and you do need a low emissions zone sticker for your car if you drive here. I applied for one via Dekra in Sweden and it was easy. The area where the hotel is is not the most exciting but there is an Aldi store and various restaurants within walking distance. There is a parkade below the hotel. It costs just shy of €20 per night to park there. There is elevator access from the parkade to the lobby. Check-in: exceptionally friendly receptionist who spoke excellent English. Room: the room was fairly small but very modern. There is a frosted glass panel from the bathroom meaning it gets light in the room if one person uses the bathroom during the night. Other reviewers have complained about loud music. We stayed a Sunday night and did not hear any music, noises from other rooms or anything else. Wifi: the complimentary wifi was good. Breakfast: we did not have breakfast at the hotel but rather strolled to Aldi and bought breakfast items there. Overall: this is a very nice modern hotel. I would stay here again.

What a wonderful small family-driven hotel. The rooms are large, clean and newly renovated. The beds were firm and we had a great sleep. The owner, Johannes, went out of his way to ensure that we felt welcome and “at home”. My elderly parents got a room on the ground floor so they didn’t have to clump the stairs. The hotel has a large community room with self-service cold drinks, coffee/tea and soup - everything quite cheap. It was even possible to have the local pizzeria bring out food to enjoy here. Outside is a cozy courtyard with a view to the local church. We will definitely come again.

Mittlerweile waren wir schon öfter Gäste im Hotel Zur Bever und genießen jedesmal unseren Aufenthalt in diesem bestgeführten Haus, das so ist, wie es sich der Gast wünscht. Die Vorzüge von Klimaanlage und Fahrradraum mit Anschlüssen zum Laden von EBikes habe ich bereits bei meiner letzten Bewertung hervorgehoben. Aufgefallen ist uns anlässlich unseres Aufenthaltes am letzten Wochenende, wie viele Ablagemöglichkeiten es in den großräumigen Zimmern und im Bad gibt. Dazu die vielen Haken an der Wand im Bad. Auf unseren zahlreichen Radreisen haben wir oft erleben müssen, das in manchen Hotels kaum Platz für Gepäck und Toilettenartikel vorhanden ist. Nicht so im Hotel Zur Bever. Hier ist wirklich alles durchdacht und wir fühlen uns bei jedem Besuch sehr wohl. Das hervorragende Frühstücksbuffet ist absolut nicht von der Stange und außergewöhnlich gut. Es bietet viele leckere und regionale Produkte, Eierspeisen werden frisch aus Eiern zubereitet. Man spürt, dass die Damen vom Frühstücksbuffet ihre Tätigkeit gern machen und schätzen. Top! In uns reift der Gedanke, vielleicht mal ein paar Tage mehr in Westbevern zu verbringen, quasi einen kleinen Urlaub. Ferienwohnungen sind im Hotel auch vorhanden und die herrliche Münsterländer Parklandschaft lädt zu ausgedehnten Radtouren ein. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir wieder und empfehlen dieses Hotel zu 100 Prozent.
