Stayed here only for a night and I believe we could have been the only ones there at the time. The photos do justice and the rooms are as advertised. Staff member is very friendly. Mini me and I went for a walksie around the grounds. There is an old school kiddie playground near reception, ping pong table, footy field and basketball court. It looks like (and the website has confirmed this) that it used to be a school. We saw a pathway heading up the hill and were tempted to climb it, but decided to err on the side of caution. I highly recommend the accommodation for people that want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Loved the beds - very firm. Made for a fantastic sleep. Shampoo, soap and body wash are included as well as your standard milk, tea and coffee. The bathroom has heated tiles. There are no other toiletries, which would have been nice, and the televisions in the room are a little small, but not a deal breaker. Towels also included, so no need to bring any linen. The room is large, clean, comfortable with dining tables and chairs and we had a great view of the field. This retreat has no breakfast, room service or have any pools or spa. It is just around the corner from town centre (approx 2kms), so provided you have a vehicle, you should be ok to get any kind of food or other necessities. Wifi is available free. There is a parking lot available. If you have elderly, drop them off at receiving area because the main parking lot is downhill from the entrance. We spoke only direct to the person who checked us in. Upon entering the retreat, it will seem that any cultural decorations or displays that the website advertise seemed to have been taken down and/or put away. We walked past a Chinese dragon puppet prop hung in one of the hallways while we were exploring the property. However, after talking to a staff member activities are still available, but run through bookings direct and/or in accordance to demand. This property has LOADs of potential. The staff member advised that they have archery, calligraphy, dumpling making and even a theatre room and communal kitchen for large groups. I was blown away with this information, so given everything I was able to find out, am looking forward to seeing what I can plan when we come back with the extended family. If you want peace and quiet, I would highly recommend this property. Ultimately it boils down to what you are looking for. For us, it is peace, quiet and privacy. Given the price (we paid AUD$197.40 for 2 adults, a 16yo and an 8yo) for one night, I think it is quite competitive for the area. In return, we got a big space, peace and quiet, clean and comfortable accommodation. No bells and whistles.

Cadangan saya kepada pihak pengurusan adalah, sila jangkakan keperluan pelanggan terutamanya apabila kita mungkin tidak menyedari apa batasan yang mungkin ada 2) Terdapat pengubahsuaian lembut hartanah baru-baru ini. Jubin itu mungkin mempunyai lebih banyak peluntur dan gosok di sekitar sisa lantai. Saya tahu kadangkala mungkin terdapat lap pembasmi kuman di atas jubin tetapi grout kadangkala terlepas dalam proses ini dan kelihatan kotor. 3) Pancuran mandinya bagus tetapi ia terlalu kuat & tidak boleh digunakan melebihi kuasa 20% kerana ia tidak boleh dicondongkan ke bawah atau ia menyembur keluar ke tikar lantai di luar bilik mandi. Dalam masa 2 saat menghidupkan pancuran mandian, tikar lantai telah basah. Saya boleh mandi dengan baik tetapi ia mungkin lebih baik. 4) bahagian luar bangunan hotel boleh lakukan dengan bersih. Banyak sarang labah-labah di tingkap. Dari tingkap kami, kami juga dapat melihat teres di bawah dengan sekumpulan perabot luar lama berselerak di dalam longgokan. 5) Terdapat beberapa lampu sorot yang sangat terang yang menyinari bangunan pada waktu malam. Terdapat seorang lelaki di Embers yang boleh menjadi lebih mesra (Dia mempunyai loghat Perancis) kerana apabila kami meminta untuk melihat menu untuk Jamesons, dia berkata mereka telah duduk pada 7 & 8:30 dan saya terpaksa memberitahunya bahawa saya perlu lihat menu sebelum membuat tempahan, selepas itu dia lulus menu dan tidak pernah kembali. Resort ini mempunyai potensi yang besar. Mereka boleh melakukan pakej golf, Pengembaraan atau keluarga & menawarkan semua kemudahan resort dan aktiviti berbayar. Saya berharap untuk kembali & berharap jangkaan saya akan melebihi masa itu!

Location is great! Right next to the train station so you can walk to it. Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. This hotel is near most of the restaurants in the area. There is a bus stop nearby that will take you to the tourist areas. The hotel was recently remodeled and they are still remodeling some. The remodels are very nice and the beds were comfy. The breakfast is a must have and the staff there is very friendly as well.

Blue Mountains YHA is located close to the train and incredible bush walks. I took a school group of 14 Duke of Edinburgh students and they all loved the experience. Clean rooms, spacious lounge with a fire and great communal kitchen. We used the outdoor BBQ to cook burgers. All supplies easily purchased from the supermarket next door. We were even treated to a special breakfast on our first morning. I will definitely be back!

While the location was good, the motel itself was not. When we first walked into our room, it smelled damp and musty, and the carpet, chairs and even the beds felt damp too. There were numerous spiders and bugs in the room, including one in the shower, and there were also a number of dust webs which showed it clearly hadn't been cleaned recently, or at least not thoroughly. Furthermore, the beds and pillows were very hard, many of the power points were inaccessible due to their location behind the bed, and the bathroom was very small. We had booked for two nights but left after one as we were so disappointed by the cleanliness of the room, especially due to the current spread of the virus.

The location of this hotel is truely incredible and the views from the balcony and restaurant are spectacular. Additionally, the sister hotel next door has a fantastic outdoor pool which is available. However, the restaurant is generally poor and trades on the location rather than the quality and service. The fabric and maintenance is lacking for example cobwebs abound in the ceiling areas. Additionally, the rooms are tired in need of refubishment or at least a really good clean when you look closely the housekeeping is not up to the standard portrayed. Disappointing given the stunning location.

Renovated interior with a chic look, however the toilet was pretty dark. Could do with better lightings.
