Hotel de la Couronne Liege is right in front of Gare de Liege Guillemins and just next to the Flixbus stop, so if you're just dropping by Liege, the location is perfect. There's a Carrefour Express next door and a Burger King. Gare de Liege Guillemins and the hotel are somewhat far from the museums and historical locations but the city area/Liege is so small and navigable that it's not a big deal. Couronne hotel is one of those rare European boutique hotels that still maintain comfortably sized rooms. Rooms at this price range are often quite small (even in newer European and Asian 3-star hotels) so that's a plus. Couronne is no frills (no coffee, tea, minibar, etc) but the beds and bath are clean and comfortable. Plus, there's a nice airy salon on the first floor where those staying at the hotel can sit and lounge around. There are plenty of fry-ups, a great Japanese restaurant (Nagoya), and an Aldi close by. I had a bad allergy on my second night and the staff at 1 am were helpful despite my limited French. I'm not the best at picking hotels, but Hotel de la Couronne was a good choice for my two nights.

It is very close to Liege Station (just opposite). After getting off the train, take the escalator and cross the road to arrive. There is a Carrefour next door and a small supermarket next to the station, which makes shopping very convenient. There is also a bus stop near the hotel. Tickets for Liege buses can be purchased using the TEC app (one-way trips are free for 60-90 minutes). The hotel is a bit far from the city center, about a 20-minute walk. When you arrive at the hotel, you need to press the doorbell, and the counter staff will help you open the door. Then you can enter and exit by sensing the door card. The room is large, but the lighting is a little dim (especially obvious during the day). It is connected by two buildings (with a height difference) and there are two elevators to take. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Because the suitcase was broken (a wheel was broken), the hotel receptionist was very friendly and helped to guide me to buy it in the nearby shopping mall. There is a delicious and inexpensive Turkish kebab burrito restaurant in the city center. I forgot to take a photo of the hotel room, but it was pretty similar to the ones in the introduction. You won’t feel a big difference when you see it.

The hotel is just opposite the station and close to the old town. Thank you very much to the gentleman at the check-in counter. We arrived at the hotel before 12 o'clock. The gentleman in charge of check-in at the counter first said with a smile: It's a pity that your room is not ready yet, and then said that I will ask my colleague to see if the room can be prepared earlier. Then he made a phone call immediately and said after hanging up the phone: You can go in after 15 minutes. I will help you check in now. If the room is ready, you can go in! I'm sorry that I forgot to ask this gentleman's name. I was really touched that he was able to unload my luggage immediately when the weather was only 1 degree. In addition, the breakfast is also very delicious. It is a hotel worth recommending.

The transportation is absolutely convenient. It is opposite the train station. The room is relatively large. Outside the window is the beautiful train station. Even if it is on the side of the road, you can't hear any noise. 🍴🍜Eating is very convenient. The hotel's facade is relatively small. It is next to a supermarket and Burger King is beyond it.

It's so close that you can see the signboard from Platform 1 of Guiman Station. The front desk is located at the back right of a narrow alley. It's a beautiful hotel! However, our room was room 113 on the road side, right above the hotel's signboard lighting❗We were having trouble sleeping because of the light leaking through the curtains all night! I regret that I should have changed the room sooner.

It was easily accessible, about a 2-minute walk from Liège Central Station. The hotel itself was small, but clean and stylishly decorated. The cathedral and other places are about a 20-minute walk away (there is also a bus). This has nothing to do with the hotel, but the area around Liège Central Station is not very safe, so be careful when going out at night. (I arrived at the hotel at night, and was confused by the mysterious man standing in front of the hotel.)
