Mountain house boutique Guesthouse(Mufu shop in the ancient city of Lijiang)

Very friendly and helpful owner. Super responsive and wanted to make sure we were having a good time. Thank you for sharing your tea with us. It was a special treat.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my family. Upon arrival we saw that the room was very dirty. The only thing that had been done in the room was changing the bedding. My daughter stepped in something sticky and we even saw food rests on the floor. We asked for the room to be cleaned while going out to eat. When we came back it was a little better, but the room was still very dirty. I tried to clean it a bit myself with wet wipes, but it was a disgusting job (see pictures, they are all made after we asked to clean the room again). I do not understand how this guesthouse can have such a high score of reviews while the rooms are this dirty. The room also did not look like the pictures. On top of that I paid for a room with a mountain view, but instead was looking on the roof of another building. The air was very dry, but the humidifier was dirty and moldy so we didnt dare to use it. The first night we slept terribly, also due to noises from other guests. The next day I asked for a clean humidifier and received it. I also had to go ask for toilet paper (how embarassing) because there is no daily housekeeping and put our bins outside and ask to get a new bin bag. The owner is a friendly guy, but he is staring on his phone all day while smoking cigarettes so I never felt comfortable coming in the reception and asking something. We had several gifts included in the booking (afternoon tea, desert tasting, coffee drinks) but didn’t get any of them because they would have to take place in the smoky reception where I definately dont want my children to sit. The only gift we did use was a pick-up from the station. I did have to text with 3 different people on WeChat to make this happen. When we checked out the owner didnt even look up from his phone. Terrible service. The hotel needs a deep clean, renovation and a new owner that understands something about service. Especially people with children should avoid this hotel until then! Lijiang is a lovely place but just don’t stay here. We have been travelling in China for 2 months and never had a hotel that was this dirty. 👎

Good location. The bed and blankets were clean but the rest of the room was a little dirty. Even though it was quiet outside, you can hear the other guests very clearly when they are in the courtyard and the door slams loudly every time someone closes the door. Since the smoking area is in the courtyard, other guests were slamming their door all through the night when going outside for a cigarette.

客棧陳老闆人非常好！看得出他是很用心去對待每一位客人的需要，從入住一刻至退房，都會給上很好的建議，也辛苦他接我們出入，因為我帶上80歲的老父母走得很慢，他都願意慢慢陪著我們走路 、很有耐性，儘管我離開了麗江，也會關心我們是否順利到下一站。所以這次是十分超出預期的服務！與其說是民宿體驗，不如說是被親友接待留宿，那麼溫暖～ 真心喜歡這次住宿，也推薦這家地點優越，乾淨衛生，也十分漂亮的客棧！
