"Very good hotel, near the old town, walk about 5 minutes. The taxi can go right to the hotel gate (for hotels in the old town, you have to carry a suitcase, it's very tiring). The hotel owner is super friendly. Help us book a tour and rent a car to shangrila. If I have the opportunity to return to Lijiang, I will choose this hotel again."

"The receptionist was smoking when I was checking in. The lobby is full of trash and cigarette ash. The second floor of corridor is also a person sitting with a cigarette. At the breakfast dining, trash and eggshells are on the table. The view of third floor roof top is fantastic."

"This was the cutest spot to stay close to a gate in old town! We fell in love with the charm of this hotel. Plus the staff were beyond helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We also loved having such a pleasant courtyard to relax in and watch the coy fish.
Overall, the ambiance here is inviting and comfortable. I highly recommend this business."

"天氣很好，藍藍的天。 但是就是太曬了，來的小夥伴們一定要注意防曬，戴帽子防曬霜，必不可少。房子的格局很好，感覺都能曬到太陽，從早到晚的，挺舒服的，乾淨也衞生，空間也很大，性價比很高，客棧離北門走鹿野就兩三分鐘，小哥哥們很好，還專門來接我們。總體來説很不錯喲。對了，客棧背後就是九鼎龍潭走過去，一分鐘就到了，太方便了，特別喜歡早晨起來去九鼎龍潭那邊轉一轉，空氣特別好。"

"老闆非常好，我訂了178的房，老闆給我安排到300多的房。樓頂還有個大陽台，舒服死，還有洗衣機。每天早上老闆親自做早餐，想幾點吃和老闆説一聲就行。樓下就可以叫滴滴，交通方便。總之很nice。"

CCannedmilkExceptional views from our room which is also spacious and clean. Modern aesthetic in an old town. Roughly 10 mins walk to Lijiang old town. Might not be convenient for young children or elderly because they are quite a bit of stairs leading to the accomodation unless you take a cab and enter by another side.
That aside, 10/10 will recommend this place because the boss and 管家 provided one of the best services I have ever received. They were really helpful in getting our tickets for JDSM, and ensuring we got to places safely by contacting our next accomodation. They also checked in on us to see if we were safe.

I need to check out early in the morning, so the hotel gave me the breakfast to go instead. It consists of fruit, bread and biscuit.
A little note is that all the hotel rooms face the mountain but not every rooms have a direct view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

PpostcardsandstampsWe enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return.
Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet.
Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy.
Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea.
Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent.
Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights.
Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

PPengguna TetamuThe highlight of our 5 nights in Lijiang is definitely the conversations we had with the 3 staff at the xinsu! We were always greeted warmly by them, with an invitation to sit, drink tea, and chit chat with the team. I must add that they have a great sense of humour. The team was always ready to answer our questions (via WeChat) while we are out :D [these conversations were in mandarin]. Part way through our stay, they asked if we were ok to switch room with an old couple who had difficulties climbing to higher levels - I suppose this was a great blessing for us! The 2nd room on the 4th level had great view. If weather permits, we can see 玉龙雪山 from the tea place! Unfortunately, the days that we were there were cloudy/rainy. Attached is a photo of what we saw on the balcony just outside this room (when we were still staying in the first room).

GGRACEOur stay at Yinjian Inn was absolutely delightful, and we’d strongly recommend it to anyone traveling to Lijiang. The hospitality here is unparalleled and truly top-notch. From the moment we booked, the inn's owner reached out to us via WeChat. She responded promptly to all our queries, making us feel cared for and welcomed. Communication was smooth and friendly throughout our 3D2N stay. I really need to point out the EXCEPTIONAL service provided by the owner and staff. For those familiar with 丽江古城 (Old Town of Lijiang), you’d know how challenging it can be to navigate its cobblestone streets, especially with heavy luggage. The inn owner kindly helped us carry our bulky luggage from the Didi drop-off point to our rooms, which was a lifesaver. Moreover, she noticed that my grandparents had some difficulty walking and graciously upgraded us to a larger family room on the ground floor to spare them from climbing stairs. Every day, we were treated to dessert soup, fresh fruits, and a hearty breakfast. It felt like being pampered with home-cooked meals that left us feeling nourished and too full to enjoy the other street food sold in the 古城. Situated on 狮子山 (Lion Hill) within 丽江古城, Yinjian Inn boasts one of the best locations in the area. Perched at the highest point, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, both from the rooms and the nearby Didi drop-off point, which is just a minute's walk away. While the walk down to the busier parts of the 古城 is easy and filled with charming shops and eateries, the climb back up can be a bit of a workout. However, the picturesque views and opportunities to rest and visit the stores along the way more than make up for it. Our room was clean and well-furnished, blending modern comfort with traditional Chinese aesthetics. The room included all the necessary amenities- also don't worry, there is a bidet with all sorts of cool functions. My family and I left with full hearts (and stomachs!) and immense gratitude for the care we received. So YES, please don't hesitate to choose this place :)

The most profound impression came from a small hotel in Lijiang, where the staff worked quietly, without fanfare or extravagance, but with a sincerity that touched my heart.
From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt something different. It wasn’t the smooth greetings in foreign languages or gestures learned from hospitality manuals. It was the way they looked at me—with genuine concern, not trying to sell a service but making me feel welcomed. Language wasn’t a barrier because there was a closeness between us, simple yet deeply meaningful.
I remember one early morning, as everything was still asleep, I stood on the balcony and looked down at the small garden. Below, a staff member was meticulously wiping each leaf, each plant, as if each leaf held its own life. That simple act, in the quiet of the morning, made me realize that when someone pours their heart into their work, even the smallest task becomes meaningful.
After experiencing the space and service here, I began to imagine what the owner of this hotel must be like. Perhaps he is a perfectionist, meticulous, dedicated, and thoughtful. If given the chance, I would love to meet him and learn from his experience. How is it that he only visits the hotel once a year, yet everything remains so flawless? The way every corner of the hotel reflects care and attention mirrors the personality of someone who is attentive to every detail.
Perhaps that’s what makes this hotel different. They don’t strive to please the guests too hard, nor do they go overboard in showcasing excellent service. They let their sincerity naturally and invisibly touch the guests’ emotions. And from there, satisfaction naturally follows—effortlessly, without needing to be advertised.
Through this trip, I realized that in the service industry, it’s not a race to compete on price or luxury. What customers remember isn’t the soft bed or the sumptuous breakfast, but how they were treated and how much care was given. Everything starts with the simplest things—a glance, a smile, or even wiping a leaf in the garden in the early morning.
While many other places focus on selling services, this small hotel in Lijiang has taken a different path. They don’t try to sell; they let the experience sell itself. And when that experience comes from true dedication, customers will remember it forever, because what comes from the heart always lingers the longest.

PPengguna TetamuLove love love the location. Within walking distance to the reservoir which made it easy to go for a stroll at sunrise or sunset without any logistical restrictions. Room was clean and view was amazing. However not a big fan of the room facilities especially the AI toilet (not sure why it must flush the moment I sit down every time). The shower also floods every time it is used. As I stayed here with a friend (not a couple) the barely frosted glass on the shower and toilet doors meant we had to be very comfortable with each other. The staff were on the whole polite but service was inconsistent- some staff were friendlier than others. One of the staff started shutting off the restaurant facilities before we were done with dinner which I felt was an awkward way to hurry us. CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does.All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel.The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
