Helena's Studios

We booked our stay through Jet2 and had a wonderful time. Location is great with shops and restaurants nearby; as well as public transport links to get to the airport, beaches and main areas of interest. The apar**ent was comfortable and well maintained, with the owner taking great care to welcome guests and offer recommendations for food and places to visit during our stay. The pool was exceptionally clean and there were plenty of sun loungers for the guests to use. The pool bar has both food and drinks & is very affordable for both, you can get bottles of water for a few euros which I recommend buying for your room. The private balconies are great for getting some sun when you don't want to fully leave your apar**ent. Two things to be aware of are: 1) The water in the pool is very cold even during high temperatures, which is refreshing but takes a little getting used to; 2) Take notice of the depth signs at the side of the pool (especially if travelling with children) as halfway down it suddenly gets deeper instead of increasing on a gradual slope, which could pose a risk to weak swimmers if unnoticed. Recommendations for the local area: •There is a Saggitarius mini market in both directions on the main road, so you can grab groceries by travelling in either direction. •There is a bar/restaurant nearby called Crazy George's which both my partner and I highly recommend as their food and drinks are incredible and made with high quality ingredients. It has a very friendly environment, which is quiet and relaxed throughout the day and gets lively in the evenings.

This was an excellent place to stay. Helena was very welcoming and kind. The rooms were very spacious with two terraces! The swimming pool was lovely and the whole area very clean and tidy including our room. Would highly recommend this accommodation. We also hired a car at a really good rate. A lovely, friendly place to stay .

Stayed for 10 nights in September with Jet2.Firstly the few positives decent wi fi fantastic maid ok location .Now the downside the rooms are awful old dated and cramped.The pool was filthy.The pool bar is run by two of the most ignorant unresponsive people I have ever met in all my travels through Greece .Went to the bar twice then just didn't bother. Fantastic resort good tavernas beautiful beaches just stay anywhere but here much better accommodation available throughout the resort.

The room was basic but OK, the pool on the other hand was a different story, green from the day we arrived and only got worse throughout the week, green mold stain around the edge of the pool and the water resembled a swamp, very green and dingy could never see the bottom of the pool it was so bad we never even used it we walked down the road and used the pool at Barbara which was a lovely pool. We mentioned the state of the pool to the jet2 rep and she was aware of it but it never improved. The resort is very quite didn't have a great meal at any of the restaurants all week and the beach is down a very steep slope or lots of steps.

Absolutely fabulous stay in August with my two nieces! Nothing was too much trouble for Helena, she was so lovely. The pool area was perfect for us and the room was also great. Gorgeous balcony view, AC (extra charge) and everything we needed. I would recommend for people wanting a more quiet / low key holiday. Beautiful beach and great tavernas and a couple of mini markets all within walking distance, and the bus into the capital is easy to navigate if you want to go exploring.

Very disappointed , the rooms was nothing like the jet2 website, I contacted jet2 & they said there was only 2 rooms like the pictures & we could not be moved . There was only 1 socket in the kitchen to use a kettle, hob & toaster . The bathroom was so small & the door wouldn’t open up fully . The pool had a green mark all around the pool & most days the water looked so murky !! The man behind the bar was so rude & not welcoming at all . We arrived & went to get some food , my hubby ordered the fish & chips , when it arrived the chips was just about warm then when he cut into the fish it was cold .. the man’s response was I put it in for 3 minutes !!! Not helpful one bit . The people we met made our holiday a lot better but would I stay there again .. No sorry !

Perfect location, directly next to the beach, to the restaurants and easy to reach it from the Port. Very friendly and taking care hosts. The room was good equipped with all the necessaries and everything was clean. Thanks to the host for welcoming us. We would definitely like to come back again.

I booked this 6 weeks before we travelled based on the really good flights and location of the studios. We have been to the resort before so knew where these studios were. We were given studio 1 which was lovely and clean. It had a nee air conditioning unit installed, nice crisp bedding, nee kettle and toaster. The bathroom had te r you been refurbished and so had the room and kitchenette area. We had a lovely balcony with big table and comfy chairs. Helena met us and took us to our room she was friendly and told us how to work the co trips for both the air con and tv! BBC world is all we had on occasionally. Our studio did sleep 4 with a double bed downstairs and twin on the mezzanine. I would say that it wasn’t really big enough for 2 adults and 2 children and the stairs were very steep from that floor. Our experience around the pool we fine. Yes I think George is a bit shy but both Maria and George were friendly and the food and drink was all lovely. The food is a tad limited but the Greek salad €6 and kebabs €3.50 are so nice! We went to Ai Helis beach which we love. €10 euros for 2 beds and an umbrella. Large beers €5 each, Cafe frappes €5 They do baguettes which are tasty and Club sandwiches too around €6. Sea is gorgeous goes in a at slope and is shallow for about 2-3 metres. You can either go down some steps or round down a winding round. This is the bestest beach. All the public areas were spotless and the cleaner was very friendly. We paid €69 for a weeks air con, safety deposit box and the local tax. No problems recommending this place at all ideal for couples and families but I would just book the apar**ent rather than a studio if you have younger children. I’m Not sure what some people want from a small typically Greek place we are really enjoying it here 😎😎😎

We were a party of eight, staying at the Helena Studios to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. When we booked this accommodation in December 2022, we read the reviews and agreed that as we were paying 2-star prices, we would not be expecting 4-star accommodation. Indeed the studios are dated, and in need of renovation - but the shower was hot, the air-con and fridge cold, the bed comfortable and the linen clean. It was fine. However, the welcome we received from Helena was most certainly 4-star. On the special day itself, Helena left flowers in our room - along with a bottle of her homemade wine. George and Maria manage and run the bar on site. We spent a lot of time relaxing round the pool. Our experience was very unlike those mentioned in previous reviews. Both George and Maria (although maybe a little shy) were very friendly and accommodating - especially on the day of my husband's birthday - allowing us to decorate the bar area. We always ended our evening with a drink with George and Maria.
