Ulasan Adelphi Hotel Liverpool

I always use the adelphi in Liverpool. It started with national coach excursions but this time iit was for one night only as I went to the empire theatre which is just up the road. It gets bad reviews but I won't hear a bad word about it. You get what you pay for

It was a wonderful hotel, a surprisingly huge room in the very center of the city, large rooms and a neat bathroom, everything was perfect, I will return to this hotel

Not going to knock the place but it was box standard. Big and beautiful building. Rooms spacious. But need up dating. The surrounding was awesome because it was in the city centre. Would I stay there again. Maybe because the price was ok.

Value for money: 100% But the hotel is looking and feeling tired… it is in much need of total redecoration. BUT my word it must have once been beautiful. Maybe don’t google about the third floor being ******* while staying on the third floor!! (We had no incidents but I messed my sleep up with worry!!)

Don’t stay here worse. Hotel ever checked out. First day and they havnt even refunded me yet for the last 2 days

The reception is very friendly. The late night securit check y makes me feel safe. The room are also very big! Recomend

Check in was terrible with long queues even though we had used the online check in. Waiting for half an hour as each customer had to pay city tax and have all their details input into the computer and a wasteful A4 sheet of paperwork printed in another room, before being presented and stapled with door keys. During the wait there was a woman ranting and yelling at staff about her son who was accommodated in the hotel. She said that he was being allowed to **** ***** in his room. She was escorted out. Only one lift was working which was a pain as I have difficulty walking and was situated on the fifth floor. Lift stunk of ********. Hotel seemed to be accommodating a lot people that had unfortunately found themselves homeless. The room looked dated and the carpet was covered in burns from an iron. The bed was nice and comfortable and the linen was clean. The bathroom tiles were filthy with soap runs and greasy hands prints. Bathroom ceiling was covered in mould. Bathroom in desperate need of updating and deep cleaning. Bath was yellow with age and looked like it was installed when time began. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were adequate but the containers for the sachets of coffee and tea were very unclean and looked as if they are never rinsed out. There were cigarette burns and stains on the curtains. In general I was really disappointed. We had stayed here about 20 years ago and this is a beautiful hotel with chandeliers and grand decor downstairs. The place just looked neglected and run into the ground with minimal staff, very basic cleanliness and no recent refurbishment.

Decent enough for money

No heater . No ceiling lamp . When the strong wind blows, the hanging objects strike the hotel’s exterior wall, producing noise.

Lovely iconic hotel. A pleasure to be a.guest. Lovely breakfast in a beautiful eating area l. I felt very grand. They do need to have more people on the check in fast track queue as I walk with a crutch and I couldn't stand up to wait. It took about 15 minutes to 20 mins to check in which I couldn't do because of my mobility issues but other than that a very pleasant stay😊

Great location and very helpful and friendly staff.  Ample space in the lounges and central area.  Good breakfast with choices.   Paid £550 for 2 room only reservations so disappointed at the lack of investment and upgrading. Hotel looks a bit tired.  One lift not working over the weekend.  Room was clean and bed comfortable but television did not work in either of our booked rooms and no plug in one of the sinks.

the room we booked was dark, no main light. just 2 lamps. the lift is a bit, old - not very smooth. location is very good if you plan to explore the city centre walking distance to train stations and establishments, food-shopping

The reviews can be quite negative from some people, and I do agree that the rooms could do with a freshen up, BUT it's an old hotel filled with character and history and we really enjoyed it for that. It's very central and 6 mins walk to Lime St Station and 7 min to Cavern Quarter. (The Vines pub next door is also a must & 15 min in opposite direction takes you up the Philharmonic pub, beautiful place with history and an award winning steak pie.). The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and really lovely. There are a couple of nice bars as you come into the reception area , including the American bar, which has a nice ship saloon feel. Got a great deal and stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. Would come back, the rooms do need a face lift though. 😀
