Our previous hotel had double booked us, we’d been phoning around for about an hour but with a match and a concert on everywhere was booked, from the minute we phoned this hotel there customer service and genuine friendliness was brilliant, finding us 2 rooms, and we were given a free continental breakfast in the morning. We were all stressed but when we arrived, the friendliness of the staff soon washed that away, the hotel inside is so beautiful, we were taken through to the breakfast room so we could relax and help ourselves to a brew while the rooms were sorted out, we were shown to our rooms and made sure we were aware we’re all the facilities we needed where, and explained there was a night manager if we needed anything there was always somebody available 24/7, so we all felt very safe being there. The room was lovely, we had a hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, a place to hang our clothes with plenty of hangers, flat screen tv and even a nightlight. The beds were very comfortable, as was the bed linen, we all slept like babies that night. In the morning we went for breakfast, there were plenty of options, and the quality of the food was great, (I must say the cherry conserve was beautiful) there was plenty of juices and hot drink options, and the bread etc was always kept topped up as required. If you need anywhere to stay in Liverpool I’d definitely recommend castle lodge, the staff are brilliant and super friendly they will take care of you as if you were family and really do go the extra mile, we loved our stay with you and Donna and George you are amazing, we can’t thank you enough - we’ve all said we will be back to stay again soon.

Unfortunately on the coldest night of the year we stayed at the Beech Hotel. There was no heating in our room only a stand alone radiator that did not adequately heat our room. No heating in the bathroom either. When reception were asked to provide us with additional heating and bedding this did not arrive. As we did not return to our room that night until the middle of the night it was too late to insist on this. So cold it was uncomfortable. The duvet was a summer one therefore, very hard to stay warm. No explanation was given for no heating. The room itself was very clean with a very comfortable mattress. Only one pillow each in a double room and a lamp that had a short in it. One of the bedside cupboards was rickety and unsafe we couldn't use it. The location although residential was quiet and we did not hear any other visitors. Breakfast is a well planned continental option and the hotel itself was attractive, well maintained but dated in its decor. Lovely dining room with a small well stocked bar area within. Limited parking in a small car park outfront. In the summer I probably would not have needed to give such a low score as it it value for money. However, as it was so freezing in our accommodation and our requests were not acted upon I can only give it a low score. Being so cold did spoil our visit.

Took my 8 year old boy to watch Liverpool vs Leicester at Anfield stayed at the sandon hotel very close to the stadium and nicely themed Liverpool decor only down side was having to pay £10 for parking on top of the hotel fee! Will definitely stay their again 👍🏽

I headed to liverpool for the champions league weekend, Suzanne gave me a call within 24hrs to confirm the booking of the room. On arrival I was greeted by Suzi, who was very friendly and very helpful, made me feel like very welcome. I had booked the single room, which was clean, tidy and well presented, with a clean en suite. I spoke to some of the other guests who were regular visitors and they only had good things to say. I will certainly be using them again! Many thanks for the homely accommodation!

I had to book in at short notice due to a member of the family receiving palliative care in the cancer unit of the hospital, that is situated within 5 minutes walk. I drove up from Devon arriving at about midnight and stopped near the front doors of the Novotel. The gentleman on reception saw me arrive and came and opened the doors for me and then booked me in. He was friendly and efficient and during the course of our conversation enquired if I was on holiday, so I explained why I was there. He was so sympathetic and offered his help and that of his colleagues if there was anything they could do- including extending the stay or checkout times, directions to the hospital and nearby car park. My room was clean and tidy and the restaurant food was excellent as were all the staff. The following day, 3 other family members booked in and it made such a difference being so close to the hospital, able to spend valuable extra time with dad until he passed away. We had some things to complete at the hospital and then with the registrar, and true to their word the staff arranged for an extended checkout time, that took the pressure off us. We are so grateful for all the kindness we received from the staff and gladly recommend this hotel/staff to anyone going to Liverpool.

This has to be the friendliest and most helpful hotel I have ever stayed at ! They honestly cant do enough for you. The hotel has Liverpool FC theme in the bar and outside area. My husband and I contacted them to book a surprise to take our son to visit the Liverpool Stadium Tour, so the theme of the hotel was amazing for him, we watched the away Liverpool match with a few other supporters the night prior to the visit. The bar staff were so helpful and friendly. They didn't serve food, but it was no issue to have food delivered and ate in the bar during the game. From the initial contact they were fully booked, but Gill contacted me as soon as they received a cancellation and helped us every step of the way with the booking, they even offered to book the tour. The room was spacious and immaculate, the beds very comfortable - what else could you ask for? The following morning we went to the tour and we were allowed to leave the car at the hotel, so that saved us the hassle of moving and parking elsewhere. Its literally just down the road from the stadium - you can walk out the drive and you can see it! Perfect for anyone visiting or going to the game. Gill was amazing - she knew the reason for our visit and seemed to go out of her way to make it a special event - it really has help make it a memory my son wont forget - so thank you!
