"Basically, the room was clean except some dark spots in the bathroom. Furniture was quite new. My special request was entertained. I finally had lovely room with a beautiful view of the old town. It was a 15-min walk from the bus station with many restaurants and some big supermarkets around. A very short distance from the old town. Overall, it was a cozy stay.
On the other hand, it is good to have a refrigerator and light was not sufficient in the bedroom."

"Very satisfied. It is in the city center. Turn left and walk down to the Sanqiao Bridge. There are various supermarkets and businesses next to it. A little further ahead is the castle. It is not too far to the station. It takes about 10 minutes to walk. When you take your children to the bed, there will be a cute little elephant, 15 euros each."

Amazing
MMiCabThe room was big, clean, and very cozy. The hairdryer was a good brand and didn’t dry my hair. The items in the bathroom are thoughtfully curated. The breakfast was good too. What I especially liked about the hotel was that even though the checkout was at 12 noon the front desk didn’t call me before that to remind me of my check out. I didn’t feel rushed and bothered at all. These things matter to frequent travelers: respect of space and time. Thank you, will be sure to return and recommend this to friends and colleagues!

NNaveen inder singhHad a nice stay at this hotel but the hotel has some issues. Biggest one of them being parking and carrying luggage to the hotel as there is no way you can park closer to the hotel. On top of it, its a cobbled street. Say goodbye to you bag wheelies…
Secondly, being a 4star property, i would atleast expect a 24hr reception desk. Had a call from trip.com office regarding my eta to the hotel as they would close the reception desk after 10pm and we wouldnt be able to check-in if there is no staff. Thankfully staff stayed late as our flight was super delayed (Perfect easyjet moment) and checked us in before we could head out and get dinner which was past 10:45pm and almost none of the restaurants were serving dinner. So much for the first magical evening in Ljubljana!!!!
Thirdly, there is no lift being an old building which is self explanatory, but travellers with heavy luggage should be warned in advance.
Fourthly, as for the breakfast we expected a proper coffee from a 4star property, but instead there is only a small coffee machine which dispenses coffee on button press. Guys the coffee isnt nice. I would rather head downstairs to the main street with plenty of cafes around. Breakfast itself is just standard, nothing whao. For hot breakfast there is only one option - eggs (served 4 ways) wasnt great, wasnt bad!
Now for the good part, hotel is nicely decorated, clean, rooms are spacious, coffee machine and kettle inside the room. Clean towels, Comfy beds! A complimentary bubbly waiting for you in the fridge, somehow they knew you are exhausted from carrying your bags from the end of the street to the hotel and upstairs!!! 😫

--Nancy-I recently stayed at Austria Trend Hotel Ljubljana, and I must say it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is impeccably clean and well-maintained, and the staff was attentive and accommodating. Upon arrival, we requested a room on the top floor, and they immediately granted our wish with no hassle—a great start to our stay.
It rained on the first day, but the hotel staff came to the rescue by promptly providing us with umbrellas when we asked. This small gesture made a big difference and showed their commitment to guest comfort.
The breakfast was truly the highlight of our stay. The buffet spread was extensive, with something for everyone. From a cereal and nuts bar to a coffee station offering filter coffee and a variety of fresh juices, the options were endless. There was a cheese and meat section, a wonderful selection of breads, omelettes, sausages, fried eggs, bacon, chia pudding, fresh fruits, and even lemon-infused water. Everything was absolutely delicious—easily the best buffet breakfast we've ever had. Typically, buffet breakfasts can be a bit underwhelming, but this one was in a league of its own.
The location of the hotel was also very convenient. Being close to a bus station made it easy for us to travel to and from the city center effortlessly.
Overall, our stay at Austria Hotel Ljubljana exceeded expectations in every way. From the thoughtful service to the incredible breakfast and convenient location, it was a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserThis hotel is located 5 minutes from the city center about 10 minutes from the main bus/train station. Groceries, restaurants, sites are all about 5 minutes away. The hotel also has great views of the mountains on a clear day.
The rooms are cabins with ample room for two people. The showers and bathrooms are public but they are very clean. Plenty of open space (indoor and outdoor) to work or enjoy the day. There’s also a small gym which is adequate for a temporary stay.
Definitely enjoyed my stay, would definitely stay here again. The price is awesome for the cleanliness and vibe.

In the central area of the city, everything is convenient; very close to the central bus station, it is easy to arrange city access; a restaurant with local Slovenian dishes on the main road from the hotel is very affordable and delicious. The breakfast prepared by the hotel staff is exquisite and varied. The room is a suite, convenient to use, quality, kitchen and direct drinking faucet. In short, especially recommended!

WWochuchaneThis is the second time I stayed at this hotel. It is located in the city center, which is quite convenient. There is a large parking lot and the front desk is very friendly.
Check-in is at 3pm, but we were allowed to check in at 1pm.

GGuest UserWe stayed at ibis Styles Ljubljana Centre for 2 nights and really enjoyed our experience. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the old town, restaurants, and shops, but still tucked away enough to feel quiet and relaxed.
The room was clean, modern, and well-designed, with fun, quirky decor that gave it character. Also bed is comfortable.
There is free water filling at lobby (7th floor). The staff were helpful and welcoming throughout our stay, always happy to answer questions or help with directions.

GGuest UserGreat hotel - it’s a shame that the staff let it down.
Prior to our arrival, we contacted the hotel to let them know that we would be arriving after check-in had closed (at 10pm). They were very helpful and provided us with instructions to enter the property by ourselves using an app.
When we arrived, we managed to get into the lobby (using the app), but the room key we were given was different than the one we were told on the phone and email. As a result, we were unable to enter our assigned room.
Assuming that our room number had been changed, we tried the key in the door that matched the new number (as there were no staff or guests around, and no one was answering the phone or emails). It opened and revealed a couple, asleep, inside. Obviously, we were mortified that we had disturbed the hotel guests, and also terrified that we would have to sleep in the hotel lobby until check-in opened at 6am.
After about an hour of searching around the lobby for clues about who to contact, we knocked on some private doors. Thankfully, a man came out and used a master key to let us in. It was clear that we had woken him up (by this point it was 2am). Again, we were sorry to have done so, but were left with no choice.
After we had successfully entered our room, I sent an email to the front desk letting them know what had just happened and that we would like them to apologise (on our behalf) to the guests and staff we woke up. They never replied. In fact, every time we mentioned it, the staff member made excuses like “I wasn’t there so I don’t have anything to do with it” and “the guy who organised the late check-in was training so he made a mistake”. There was absolutely nothing in the way of an apology or compensation for the mix-up until we checked out and it was already too late. We would like the hotel to know that mistakes are bound to happen, so it is imperative that they have a back-up (emergency number or night staff) for guests who have been given the wrong room key.
In addition, since we had been travelling for a while, we were running out of clothes and needed to do a load of laundry. We followed the instructions for the housekeeping staff to collect our laundry but found that when we had returned to the hotel, the laundry had not been done and the room had not been made up. When we went downstairs to inform the staff of this, we were told “housekeeping doesn’t go back to rooms to clean them after you took off the do not disturb sign, I’ve worked in lots of hotels and this is always the policy”. This member of staff eventually helped us find an laundromat, but the contempt with which we were spoken to was unacceptable and uncaring of the fact that we, too, have plenty of experience in the hotel industry as customers. An apology would have sufficed.
Overall, it was a great hotel in a fantastic location. Just make sure you’re okay with passive aggressive communication before you book.

GGuest UserOnline information described it as a 4-star hotel, but it is not in fact at the level of that category. It is said that there is a parking area available but the hotel has only two car seats on the street in a pedestrian area at €35 per night. In our case, we stayed two nights and between two days we didn't have the normal cleaning with bed accommodation. The room was a suite, and it was written on the door, and was very small and difficult to move. The breakfast is not from a 4-star hotel with very little variety of everything. There were 4 marmelades of one type. At the arrival we asked if they had something gluten free and they told us we had to warn them before. The second day they had not even prepared something without gluten free. One positive note of the excellent position even in the restricted area. The girl at the reception was also really nice.

KKenusThe hotel is surrounded by a hospital, but the price is acceptable. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and answer all questions. The room is not big but sufficient. It is clean and tidy. The breakfast is average but sufficient.
