I ALWAYS stay in a premier Inn all over the country on my travels as you know what to expect and I am rarely disappointed but I WAS this time! Everything was fine initially, the location suited me as it was near everything I needed. Room as I expected BUT ….. On arrival I decided to book Breakfast the next day. First payment (having put in my pin) didn’t give me a receipt. The staff member (on reception) told me it hadn’t gone through and to do it again which I did. The next day I checked my banking online to find I had been charged twice. I queried it with KATIA who said to wait and see if it took it twice. I said it clearly had and told her to screenshot it and sort it out as I live miles away and didn’t want to have to go through it all again in 4 days time like she suggested. I didn’t hear from her. I phoned P. Inn myself on Friday and had to go through it all again and will now have to wait and hear from them! It really is bad service. Whilst I am as waiting for her to sort it out I got chatting to someone whose hairdryer had blown up and who had got locked out the previous night when she went out for a cigarette and her card wouldn’t let her in! I eventually went into breakfast and it was the pits! Queue. No chef on hand, no large plates available, sides messy and not wiped down, no eggs and everything dry. I had to find reception staff to find chef. Whilst I drank my coffee waiting for poached eggs (which were uncooked) I saw him spray rear area and the spray went all over the food. He did not attempt to clear front of house messy food area. What I did eat was not at all to the usual quality I have had in other premier inns. Really disappointed with my whole stay and won’t visit again.
