Ulasan Travelodge London Kings Cross Royal Scot Hotel

This is 2nd night stay at Travelodge King's Cross Royal Scot Hotel. I have checked in a bit late (9 pm UK Time) and was offered one of the worst room possible. The reception claimed that the room would be nice and quiet but the room is right next to the pedestrian street which caused concerned with my safety and noises. The room was confusing to locate. I have to first take a lift to 2nd floor, then find the opposite door to a certain room number in order to find access to a staircase. The stairs then leads down to a hallway, which my room was located all the way to the end. I picked this hotel since it was near King's Cross, but to be honest, it would best to add a few more dollar to find safety and comfort in your stay.

Expect the most basic rooms to offer. In general, the toilets are clean and clean towels were given upon arrival. Expect occasional noise from the on-going traffic and pedestrians. Check-in time if not requested specially earlier, will be 2 pm UK time. No later or earlier. Overall, my stay was fine, but may reconsider another hotel upon my next visit to UK

The hotel was quite good, has everything you need. If you don’t have a plug adapter or a hairdryer they can supply you one for free. Also the breakfast is generous and with a large variety of products and choices, for al tastes. The bed was extremely comfortable and even though the insulation wasn’t the best, we had a good sleep. Will recommend.

Was staying in room 301, good value for the money paid and the room is quiet and big enough for a good stay. Breakfast is good for the price, with several items to choose from.

The only problem was the "on again, off again" wifi, even though we paid for it. We were only in London for a week, with multiple appointments to visit friends and family and simply couldn't rely on it. We won't be using Travelodge next time we're in London...

Staff were all helpful, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is situated around a 10-25min walk from Kings cross which was good but did get repetitive. The hotel room itself was clean with clean sheets, except from the bathroom. The bathroom there was a few hairs in it, and had clearly been sprayed with a cleaner but not scrubbed, which it desperately needed. Overall not a bad stay, good for the price but extra attention needed to clean the bathrooms.

I personally think it's well worth traveling to live in, it's not as bad as other online reviews say, you can understand from my pictures, and we only spent less than 60 pounds for a night in a twin room including breakfast. The location is near King Cross train station. Such good conditions and low price are really great in London.

Extreme uncomfortable stay. Morning reception staff very friendly and helpful with luggage store before check-in. 3:30pm check-in staffs were terrible to the point of repulsive. Gave us a room requiring to take the lift to 2nd floor just to walk 20 some stairs down to basement rooms. We went back to reception to ask for a change of room. I have knee problem so prefer not to have to carry 2 big luggages up/down stairs. Sorry, fully booked, no other room available. They gave out all the rooms at 3:40pm!? Then a white guy supposed to be senior staff came out from the office: we are fully booked, if you don’t like your room, you can find another hotel. This is the way to treat a customer because we have already paid through trip.com. After this trip, I’ll stop using Trip.com for a long time. The room was small, bathroom tiny. There wasn’t enough room to have two luggage opened. The bed very uncomfortable, springy and dented. Stains on pillow cases, bed sheet and quilt cover. Room smelly and stuffy. Room right next to the road, so noisy. Will never consider Travelodge anywhere in this world, this brand not trust worthy.

Breakfast was good. Staff attitude is amazing. The rest just Soso.

Travelled south for weekend, hotel was 5 mins from station, great staff, lovely and clean , nice brekky, great price booking through trip.com, will be using all the time now

It was fine

I had read some reviews before I went and it’s safe to say I wasn’t expecting much after those. Maybe some people are expecting the Ritz at a fraction of the cost, who knows? But to be fair it was much much better then I was expecting or lead to believe I should expect, and I consider it really good value for money in London and including the breakfast. The reception, bar and dining area we open and light and airy. The staff where really nice and helpful and can’t fault them. Yes the room may have needed modernising but the room was clean and the bed & pillows were comfy. It’s a little walk from King’s Cross but at the end of the day it was a decent central base for a weekend trip with my son.

This hotel was a delight to stay in, the staff couldn't do enough for you. They are all friendly, welcoming and approachable. The rooms were clean and tidy, as were the communal areas. The food was okay, good service at the bar, I would definitely recommend it.

Staff very welcoming, one member went out of her way to help us with a place to eat out before we went out , bar was clean and quite welcoming, which was good
