The Dorchester

My mother and I recently enjoyed a wonderful 4-night stay at The Dorchester. The location was perfect, the newly refurbished bedrooms are beautiful and the Christmas decorations in the lobby area, stunning. What stood out for us was the impeccable customer service, always delivered with a genuine smile. Kai on concierge, managed to make a restaurant reservation at a venue which had been fully booked weeks in advance, this really made our weekend memorable. Also, a special thank you to 3 stand out members of the team, Michaela, who always greeted us with such warmth and took the time to chat whenever we visited the promenade. Mikhael, brightened up our mornings at breakfast with attentive service and energy to match, and Somali who served our afternoon champagne and scones. It was a wonderful 4 days, we immensely enjoyed listening to the live pianist and singer in the Promenade. The Vesper bar was a great venue to enjoy a nightcap and we spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon making full use of the swimming pool at 45 Park Lane. There really was nothing to fault, thank you again, we cannot wait to return! x

This was a 60th birthday treat from my husband. Would have loved to be more dressed up, but weather and walking didnt allow! Oozes money - treated as good as any guest, but definitely an upper echelon. How to see how the other half live! Enjoyed being pampered, staff all very welcoming and felt welcomed

Excellent service from the whole team especially Sunali. Excellent Canepes and champagne in awesome surroundings. If was our 22nd wedding anniversary and it’s always a pleasure to come to this iconic hotel that makes an occasion extra special.

This hotel cannot be reviewed in a few words! Everything from the check in to the flowers in the public spaces to the staff to the rooms.....excellence on every level! We were blown away by the way we were spoiled as we were celebrating a milestone birthday. The way that we were pampered and wished over and over again made it a 3 day celebration that felt like one amongst friends. The breakfast service is superb, the food and Green Juice as well as the Sunrise juice that was recommended are beyond description. There are so many small touches and gestures that make the Dorcester a place to return to again and again! Thank you teach and every staff member that made another stay at the Dorcester memorable and perfect!

I booked a couple of nights here for a treat for my wife on her birthday and we had a truly magical time. What a lovely hotel; we were upgraded because of the special occasion to a fabulous, newly renovated room overlooking Hyde Park which had everything you could wish for and more. What a beautiful, stylish bathroom with adjustable lighting; a bath after long walks round the city was something to look forward to and rounded off the day before we went out for dinner. Without exception we were welcomed and put totally at ease by every single member of the Team we came across - you could tell that not only did they feel proud to work at this hotel, but they felt appreciated. My wife enjoyed an early morning swim each day ay 45 Park Lane next door; again lovely staff, what a pity there is no bridge or tunnel to it! We treated ourselves to a (very) expensive breakfast on the first morning for the sheer pleasure of the experience and it certainly lived up to our expectations; what a great way to start a day and a late night drink in the lovely Art Deco Vesper bar was a perfect end to the day as well. There is no doubt it is an expensive place to stay but it was worth every penny, and as our first time, I'd prefer a few less visits to London, or perhaps shorter stays and spend them at the Dorchester rather than a cheaper place elsewhere. Thank you to all the Team for making my wife's birthday so special; the cake, balloons, wine and present were so very much appreciated. Can't wait to return!

Our yearly visit to the promenade over the festive period with close friends was absolutely delightful. The Artists Bar was wonderful and the perfect place to sit and admire the wonderful Christmas decorations over a glass of champagne. Afternoon tea in the promenade was magical with the choir. The chef did well at meeting our dietary requirements and the sandwiches and desserts were beautifully presented. We were delighted to meet Mr Richard Newell in person, after communicating via email for many years. He was ever so charming, accommodating and went above and beyond for us. We are grateful for everything he has done for us over the years. Thank you to Monika Mazuruk and Berna Isik for arranging our booking and taking on board all of our requirements to make our anniversary special. We had an amazing time and can't wait to visit again for my Birthday in June. You were both truly wonderful and always make sure our visits are extra special. Both Monika and Berna are personable, efficient, kind and personable employees, who are an asset to the Dorchester hotel. We couldn’t imagine the hotel running smoothly without their top two employees! Thank you Richard, Monika and Berna, you are amazing at what you do and we will see you soon.
