DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel London - Tower of London

Never been before but booked as got a discount for two nights with a friend and looked up good hotels for a weekend away and this was one of the top options and very convenient local not far from tube station to many places. Great places around to eat and the hotel itself was beyond luxury for us and the room was so clean and spacious with a lovely view from our window. Would highly recommend and definitely be coming back. We didn’t add on breakfast for our stay or use the facilities they offered so can’t speak for those but the hotel and room itself were so welcoming and our stay here was so comfortable and relaxing.

She responded quickly to every request and offered great support during my check-in and check-out process. Her meticulous work ethic and polite manner reflect the high standard of this hotel. I will definitely choose this place again for my next business trip.

Hotel structure and location is good. Attendants at reception need to improve a lot. I asked a plug and they tried to sell me for 9 pounds, while service employees just lent me later.

H This was my first stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, and unfortunately, it will probably also be my last. As a globally recognised hotel brand, my expectations were naturally higher, especially for a prime hotel, but the overall experience was disappointing from start to finish. Before check-in, I emailed the hotel using the contact email provided in the official Hilton correspondence to request an early check-in. However, I received no reply for almost a week. During check-in, I highlighted this issue to the staff, and she acknowledged that “no one might be attending to the email,” which was quite concerning for a hotel of this standard. Another disappointing detail was that I was not offered the signature welcome cookie that other guests were receiving. While this may seem minor, it contributed to the inconsistent guest experience. The hotel amenities and facilities also felt very outdated and poorly maintained. There were no proper amenities provided in the room, and maintenance appeared lacking throughout the property. For example, the bag hook in the male restroom on Level 1 was damaged and had clearly not been replaced for some time. What disappointed me most, however, was the attitude and attentiveness of the staff. Many seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to guests. During breakfast, staff members were busy having conversations while I had to approach them myself just to ask where I could sit. At the lobby restaurant/bar area, service was also extremely slow — even when food was ready, staff prioritised keying receipts instead of serving waiting customers promptly. The final straw came during checkout. I had left my luggage with the hotel and returned to collect it. One staff member made eye contact with me when I asked for assistance, but instead of helping, he walked back to his seat. I eventually had to walk directly to him and ask again for my luggage to be brought out, only for him to pass the task to a female colleague beside him. It was honestly one of the poorest service experiences I have encountered at a Hilton property. Overall, the service standards, responsiveness, and maintenance fell far below expectations for a hotel under the Hilton brand.

It was great, really liked the warm cookie when I arrived, and lego at the reception! The cocktail bar and dinner at the restaurant were really good, breakfast was great, the only thing that is only ok is the gym - they could make it a lot nicer and modern. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

No amenities was provided to me at all (no toothbrush bedroom slippers whatsoever) called to ask for water and they asked me to go down to the reception to take myself and I’ve never heard of this before in a 4 star hotel. The room is standard and clean but I’ve found a few black spots on the pillow. It was an average stay, you can come here if you’re on a budget

I booked and paid late check out until 15:00, however, after 12:00, the door key automatically stopped working and since 13:30, every half an hour, someone knocks at your door asked for room service, even after you told them that your son is sleeping and we have paid for late check out. This result in my son cries every half an hour when someone disrupted his sleep and very grumpy the entire day. Which made my journey extremely stressful.
