We have stayed in this hotel before and our experience this time around was extremely disappointing and left us feeling like we wasted our time and money. We were “upgraded” to an accessible one bedroom suite although we booked the locke studio. It sounds like it should’ve been a good thing, but after seeing the room we honestly just wanted to be in the room that we originally booked. The bathroom (being accessible) was open with no bathtub, which was an inconvenience in itself, but the real problem came with the drain that barely functioned and the floor which was too flat for the water to drain entirely, flooding the entire bathroom when we showered. It in fact flooded so badly that we could not continue to shower as the bedroom would have begun to flood too. It was completely unusable and for the rest of our stay we had to use a flooded bathroom with soaking wet floors (the water was a few cm thick!!) which didn’t dry over the entire weekend. The sink was also tiny, so small that it was almost impossible to even wash your face over, and this “upgrade” just ended up being a huge inconvenience that ruined our stay entirely. It became evident that the studios are simply being oversold with last minute “upgrades” being made in order to fit the extra bookings. If you’re going to give us what you consider an “upgrade” instead of what we actually booked, you should be asking us first if we actually want that room. We wouldn’t have booked at all if we knew this was the condition of the room we would be provided. It was a completely disappointing and subpar experience. We have been here before and rebooked excitedly expecting a good experience again but we are seriously rethinking whether we would ever return again after this horror of a stay that was not cheap.

It’s my girlfriend’s birthday today, and unfortunately this stay has been nothing but disappointing. We are exhausted and helpless because the room we were given is completely different from what was shown online. All we asked for was a proper room so we could rest, and this situation is not our responsibility — it’s the hotel’s issue for overselling their rooms and placing us in an unclean accessible studio. This isn’t personal; it’s about the hotel’s reputation. Imagine taking your partner on a birthday trip, only to be forced into an accessible room you didn’t book. It completely ruins the mood and the experience. That’s exactly what we’re going through — it feels hopeless. The bathroom is unusable. The drain is blocked, and water floods everywhere, almost reaching the bedroom. I genuinely don’t understand how an accessible room is considered an “upgrade.” On top of that, the smell in the room is unbearable — no offence, but it’s like someone much older had been living here for a long time. This experience is far below the standard we expected.

Wouldn’t spend 200 another on this while travellodge nearby even offers room cleaning for something under 100. Great location. The AC is not working properly, have to call the maintenance team in for several times and only get partially solved after three nights of stay. (Have to stay in the 20 degree room for two nights in the winter). room card is always not working for the front door and the reception simply ignores you without letting you in.

Really great!!! Good location, and there's a kitchenette. Definitely staying here again next time I'm in London. For this price, having a small living room is fantastic value.

The room had an issue; the bathroom water wouldn't drain. The finishing touches, like the flooring, aren't great and make it feel a bit cheap, which is a shame because the building itself looks modern.

studios are big and worth the price. view is a little obstructed because of the layout and design but still lovely. very good location- near aldgate east and aldgate station and city centre. small issues: 1 lift is very slow and doesn't have up and down call buttons 2 thermostat is difficult to use 3 iconic pink couch is quite badly stained 4 we were only given one towel (no bath mat or hand towel) which was stained and housekeeping took hours to come with a clean full set

We loved our stay at Leman Locke!! Our room definitely got upgraded as we booked the studio but I think we got the 1 bedroom suite which was a lovely surprise 😁 The staff were amazing, the place was spacious and clean and the amenities were great. The only thing I would improve is that the casting wasn’t great on the TV so we couldn’t use it very easily.

Lovely hotel. Easy to access and in easy reach of the tube and loads of buses. Easy check in and a well functioning apartment with loads of space. Would recommend!

Overall facilities provided by the hotel are great. Nice and comfy bed and the location is super easy to get around and access. However, the elevators at the hotel are very slow!

It was nice that the staff was very friendly and the room was clean. I would like to stay again next time.

I stayed at Leman Locke for 4 days and had a great experience. The room was spacious and included a small living room, which made it feel like a home away from home. The washing machine was a fantastic addition, and the kitchen facilities, including an induction stove and oven, allowed me to cook whenever I wanted. The customer service was excellent—they even provided a complimentary bottle of red wine and snacks, which was a thoughtful touch due to my honeymoon. There’s a café on the ground floor and a gym in the basement, making it convenient to grab coffee or work out. They also offer free yoga sessions on Sundays, but you need to register in advance. The location is another highlight. A Tesco Express is nearby, and if you’re a fan of Korean food and bubble tea, there are authentic options just down the road. Aldgate East tube station is only a 5 to 8-minute walk to the hotel. It may not be near central London but it is quiet and also near a tube station. Overall, Leman Locke is a great choice for comfort, convenience, and excellent service!
