Ulasan Goodwood Hotel

The room is on the ground floor. It was very difficult to survive in the first night without fans in the hottest days of this year. The second night we got two electric fans. They were quite helpful. We enjoyed food in the neighbourhood.

Overall, this hostel offers good value for money. The location is convenient for getting around, and the decor is very cozy. The common area is perfect for meeting new people. However, the rooms are a bit small and the soundproofing isn't great. During peak hours, you might have to wait a while for the elevator. But considering the price and the area, I'm still very satisfied. I hope they can improve the cleanliness details in the future for an even better experience!

poor services and bad attitude from the front desk. The hotel looks old from the outside makes people scared. The good comments here are fake. Check out google comments to see how bad it is.

The room was clean and had tea making facilities. However, it was very small, the more so because a tiny en suite bathroom had been carved out. My room was on the 3rd floor (no en suite available at lower levels) and there was no lift. A staff member did carry my case up for me. It was very hot and there was no air conditioning. It was much farther from a Tube station than I had expected. It was the only room I could afford in Central London (as it turned out because it was Wimbledon week). Not bad value, but I wouldn't stay there again because of the location.

More than 1 hour of waiting for the receptionist to arrive with other customers waiting for assistance to check in but nobody is there to assist us.

Stayed in a twin BOX room for a night before travelling on the eurostar early the next morning. The weather was incredible hot ( 29c). The room was probably twice that heat, with the only ventilation being a tiny gap in the window that was wedged open with a bit of wood. The curtains did not cover the windows, so the heat and the noise throughout the night were unbearable. The twin beds were two different hieghts, one being a divan, the other being a metal frame, and each had a mattress with the springs sticking through! No on-suit, which we already knew before booking, but did not realise the bathroom was not close by...its down a flight of stairs and well away from our room! The bathroom and toilet were FILTHY, I had to clean the toilet myself before I could use it. I would have felt cleaner washing in the Thames River than I would have using the shower! Our eurostar train departure was at 7am ... we arrived at the station at 04 am just to get some rest!

I complained that the front desk of this hotel had a very bad attitude. I also left a message on Ctrip when I went to the hotel in advance. I pushed the door in and he immediately scolded me strictly to go out. Did you say that you can't enter until two o'clock? I took my father and carried two boxes, ready to leave after depositing. After coming in, I said that I would leave a message on Ctrip in advance and told me that I could store my luggage on a first-come, first-served served. The front desk was unforgiving and asked me to look through the chat records. I was very angry. He called and didn't speak English. His attitude towards customers was so bad. The boss can fire him. I used to stay in London for seven nights, but I didn't dare to stay there later. Fortunately, I only booked one night and left. 投诉这家酒店的这个前台，态度非常差。我提前去酒店也是在携程留过言的。我推门进 他马上严格的斥责我出去。说没看到两点才能进吗？我带着父亲 拎着两个箱子，准备寄存后离开。进来后我说我提前在携程留言，和我说可以寄存行李 先到先得。这个前台不依不饶 让我翻看聊天记录，非常气愤，他打电话，说得也不是英语，对客户态度如此恶劣。老板可以炒掉他。我本来在伦敦住七个晚上，后来也不敢住 还好只定了一晚就走了。

I really hope someone sees these reviews first before booking and dont be stupid like me. I'll be honest with you, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Its not a hotel but a trap den. This is the place you come when you want to get bed bugs, blood stains all over the place and thats coming from a person that works in the medical industry and i know a blood stain when i see one. The photos will show more. We stayed in the Executive room, which has a window by the way but behind the window is a brick/wood wall. No actual sight of outside. Like why did you put a window there then.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. First of all, this place is advertised as a hotel, but it felt more like a hostel. We were sent to the basement and there was no proper luggage storage available. If you advertise yourself as a hotel, basic services like luggage storage and clear information in the listing should be provided. Another major issue was that the reception was not open 24/7. The receptionist left at midnight, meaning there was nobody available during the night in case of emergencies. The worst part happened during the night. A group of men staying in the room next door made extreme noise from midnight until around 3 AM. They were drinking, smoking, screaming, laughing loudly, vomiting, and one of them was even running around naked in the hallway. They knocked on my door twice, which made me feel extremely unsafe. I tried calling the emergency/contact number provided by the hotel multiple times and nobody answered. I also contacted Trip for help and reached out to the owner directly, but never received any response. The next morning, after sleeping only about two hours, I complained to the owner. Instead of taking responsibility or even checking the security cameras, he simply told me that “sometimes people behave badly.” He showed no concern for what happened and did not handle the situation seriously at all. Later, when I asked for help with my luggage because we had been placed in the basement, the owner spoke to me in a rude and aggressive tone, telling me that “that’s not the way to ask for things.” I told him that if he had used the same tone with the disruptive guests, the situation would have been very different. I genuinely felt I was treated differently because I am a woman. On top of all this, the room was extremely small, had almost no ventilation, and was unbearably hot. The facilities looked old and poorly maintained. Overall, this was a terrible experience, with poor customer service, lack of safety, terrible management, and unacceptable conditions. I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

The room was quite good and offered great value for money. It was very clean, and the staff were incredibly gentle and kind. The surrounding area was also pleasant and convenient.

This hotel is very good value for money. All the reviews made me nervous about coming here for my birthday but I thought it was all clean, staff were nice, and it’s in a great location with some lovely cafes around and Camden town just a walk away. One thing is that the shower isn’t great, but that didn’t hinder my experience at all! Will definitely be staying here next time I come to London.

Housekeeping didn't clean for days, and the bed sheets haven't been changed in ten. The shared shower had weak water pressure and inconsistent temperatures, and the soundproofing was terrible.
