Hotel di Hyde Park, London

Brilliant location a short walk from Paddington Station and main transport hub. Great easy quick check-in. Room was spotless and and well stocked with all essentials. Breakfast was slightly chaotic mainly due to number of people trying to come at the same time.

This is an absolute amazing hotel, quite place, close to Paddington station- 3 mins walk, the staff is very friendly, rooms ars fine specifically after renovations. Bathrooms are very clean. Honestly, The most important thing am always worried about is bedsheets, but they are always very clean. I would like to thank Farhan who is an amazing person who always check in on us and helps us know the directions , he also was very kind and thoughtful and offers us more than we ask and expect. A big thank you to Tipu , who helped me find a good room with a great discount at the very short notice… Tipu and Fahan We can’t thank you enough for the outstanding and relaxing accommodation you offered us. We will see you again imsoon, and for sure I will invite all my friends from the middle East to stay at BARRY HOUSE

We arrived around 11.15 obviously we knew check in was 2pm but the manager gave us a permit for our car so we could venture out till 2pm. We booked one single and one double bed as that's what it showed when we booked so that meant the 2 boys would share a bed and me n my husband in the double bed when we went back at 2pm to check in the manger said we have upgraded you to the family room with 2 single beds and a double perfect. The room was nice. The breakfast was lovely cereals toast and jam full English tea coffee and fresh juices the lady was lovely always had a smile and talked very friendly lady nothing too much trouble. If ever we went back to London would definitely book her again. Great location close to everything within walking distance

The experience was very British, comfortable, clean and in the very center close to all attractions. The room and bathroom size are similar to the pictures advertised so what you see is what you get. What I payed for the room was good to the overall value of the service. Breakfast was many choices including good coffee at a great price. It’s defiantly a no brainer that I would come again to London and the Queensway hotel.

Location wise very good near a lot of restaurants and train/bus station. The staff is very friendly.

Totally disappointing! The property is nothing like I expected and for what I paid I feel cheated. At checkin I was told the room was on the ground floor and in the next building. It was in the basement! Extremely small and a window that overlooked storage cupboards. The TV did not work, one small pillow, with no side light next to the bed. The room needs painting. The bathroom was a joke, not even three feet wide, rectangular shape. Toilet, small sink, shower in that order. Trying to get into the shower was a challenge trying to squeeze by the sink and a folding shower door that only half opened. I had to turn sideways to get by the sink and hardly room even sideways to enter the shower. Drain cover slid off exposing a mold drain. UCK! The only saving grace was the breakfast £5 for scrambled eggs, cereal, and coffee/tea. Manoeuvring my bag down the stairs was also a challenge as there was no rail at the top having to manoeuvre around 90degrees in a small space. I had only a carryon bag. As a former hotel manager I would be embarrassed and ashamed at this property being listed with some of the booking companies. Unfortunately I did not use Tripadvisor but a third party company and paid well over the top. The area that the property is in is loaded with these conversions into small hotels. The number of pubs, restaurants, etc in the area very good. I found a winner at the Victoria Pub 10 walk. This ‘hotel’ rates nothing but a 1.5 star in my book.

I stayed here a few nights, in two different rooms. Great prices around $80/night. Close to Paddington. Nice bathrooms. A little loud, only stairs, water pressure and temperature can be quite low early in the mornings when everyone is showering. No AC of course, street noise can be quite loud.

This hotel doesn't have an air conditioner. You can't open the windows because they've got them so that you can only open them three inches they put child locks on them. I would say that the room was not cool enough to be totally comfortable but somewhat acceptable and perhaps December January and February. This place is not inhabitable June July and August. Also the room was weird I had six steps going up to the toilet so I have to be cognizant in the middle of the night when I'm going to the bathroom not to fall down and break my bottom. My room said it came with breakfast but it was only a continental breakfast and it looked nasty but since it said breakfast the person who was serving breakfast was a nice enough to give me a full breakfast which was basically one egg bacon toast and beans which was acceptable. Continental breakfast is not acceptable and unless you book on the hotels website then that's what you're still basically a high carb high calorie low nutritional value meal. Would I stay here again? No unless it was December and January because there's no air conditioner which is unheard of. They have two fans in the room but what they basically do is essentially blow hot air around your room. I like the location of the hotel and I thought that the staff is professional. Also they don't clean your room every every day. They only clean the rooms every 4 days I find that completely unacceptable especially in 170 US dollar price point. Unacceptable. I only stayed one day so it didn't affect me but that I say three days I would have been very annoyed about their cheap policy if not cleaning the room on a daily basis who does that? I like the Polish lady that worked at the reception. Also this hotel has stairs in some funky locations. To get to my toilet I have to climb up six stairs to get to my room I had to climb up two different flights of five or six stairs also. They should clean the room daily for their price point it's ridiculous and guess what spend some money and put an air conditioner in the damn room.

I bought my partner tickets for Xmas to watch Les Mis on the weekend of 25 February 2023, and wanted a nice hotel for us to stay in that was close to Paddington Station where we could leave our bags before heading out for the day on Saturday to explore! I am so glad to have chosen this hotel, it provided everything we needed and more! We arrived late morning around 11:30 and were able to check in earlier than stated as our room was already available. The young lady on reception (didn't get her name) was superb; very friendly and welcoming and could not do enough to make sure we were looked after! We had everything explained to us proficiently and then went on up to our room. The room itself was perfect for us; wardrobe with plenty of hangers for shirts and trousers etc, lovely and clean bathroom with a nice shower (my partner loved the fancy mirror!), the bed was lovely as was the clean bedding, and 2 clean towels each (1x small and 1x large) for showering etc. There was a kettle and tea/coffee/sugar/milk to make a cuppa; we always take our own supplies and got a pint of milk from one of the many local shops, but only because we do drink a lot of cuppas!! As a side note, the kettle was sparkling clean with no limescale inside it, which we thought was great attention to detail. When we got back late in the evening after the show we were greeted by the gentleman on night duty, again very friendly and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed! Had a lovely and comfortable nights' sleep, no noise from out in the street and no disturbances from other guests. The breakfast in the morning was just the job, I could have eaten the cooked breakfast twice more but I'm just a gannet!! Plenty of tea/coffee/juice and toast/cereal/fruit etc to choose from; they definitely like to make sure you have plenty of fuel to start the day!! The cooks and waitress were lovely and again made sure you had everything. Check out was easy, and we were able to leave our luggage in reception for the day, and collect before getting our train back to the green grass of home at 17:00. In summary, this was a wonderful hotel with a perfect location from Paddington and the London Underground (Lancaster Gate and Paddington underground are both 5 mins walk). They look after you very well and I would not have any hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting a clean, friendly and well placed hotel. We will 100% be staying here whenever we need to visit London! Thank you so much!!!
