Hotel di Shoreditch, London

Second stay for me. It’s a lovely and new feeling hotel. Gym and pool and steam room were lovely. Location is great for going out for dinner and pub. Slightly lower than perfect score as my room air con didn’t work on a very hot night in London. Reception were suitably apologetic but I only stayed one night but reckon they would have resolved it quickly if I was staying longer

Located behind Finsbury Square, bus station is within walking distance. There's Greggs, amazon food & M&S nearby. Lotsa ebike too. Basic clean room, ironing can be down downstairs. No kettle and cups inside the room but you may ask reception for hot water. Overall a pleasant stay.

Barber round the corner. Everything else you could possibly want is walking distance. Can't complain about anything. WiFi is decent, but throughput can suffer at times. They could improve it by placing a card reader on the exit doors and entry doors so you don't have to wait for the night shift staff to open up for yah if you get back late. The neighborhood is pretty safe, just avoid talking to strangers even if approached just keep walking, and you should be fine.

Faultless stay on a Sunday night taking advantage of their special deal which was a night's stay including breakfast, late check out to 1pm and free upgrade to the next level room. Although the room could be described as small, this is London so we didn't expect anything less. However, it was really well appointed, comfortable and we really loved the split Chesterfield-style chairs round the table. It also had a Marshall Bluetooth speaker which was brilliant. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was also a nice touch as was the steam room function in the shower (although we didn't get chance to use it unfortunately...!). As we were staying for my wife's birthday, the small cake in celebration of this was a nice touch when we got back to our room late at night. Breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and a huge portion which we both struggled to finish. The rooftop area was amazing, especially given it was 29C when we stayed. I disagree with previous comments about service from the staff between the hotel and the rooftop. I certainly didn't have any complaints and we were treated well by everyone we came across. In fact, I would struggle to know they were 2 different businesses. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily go back today if we could...!

Let me start by saying I have eaten at Nobu (Mayfair) more than once and have been fortunate to spend a lot of time in lovely hotels across the world. So, on the upside, the hotel is very nice! Friendly tip - spoon shaped key needs to be inserted next to bathroom door to activate electrics. I had a chat with concierge and they said that figuring this out in ten minutes put me in top 10%! On the negative, service is really not good. Very slow check in. 10+ minutes from point of arrival to get key. And trying to extend stay by one night was painful. Two trips both in excess of 10 minutes each. Breakfast service was terrible. I had to tell server (who was relaxing at the back of the restaurant) that there were no glasses left for juice (there were 8 people in the restaurant at this point). It took more than 15 minutes to get a coffee. Saw table next to us was offered a la carte menu. No idea if that was an option for us as never offered. When toasting my bread I could see employees shouting at each other in the kitchen. When checking out I was told there were extras on my account. I asked what. One was service charge for breakfast. It was a buffet! I asked them to justify and was told it was optional. This left a bad taste as I am sure most travellers do not even notice this. Overall, wanted to love this place but overall sense that it is just cashing in on Nobu name with no substance. However, big shout out to concierge on night of 29 May. Great guy

Overall is ok but the cleanliness can be improved. Found blood line on the toilet bowl. I checked out on Thursday and then I also booked for the night on next Monday as I needed to go traveling in Amsterdam on the weekend. I asked if I could put my luggage (only one medium size) in the storage till I come back next Monday. They said no.

My main gripe is that I left an item (my favorite shirt) in the hotel room when I checked out, and didn't realize til I got home..... while this IS my fault, I never got ANY kind of response from the hotel, didn't get my item back, and was told there wasn't even a phone number I could call to speak to hotel staff directly. This experience erased any goodwill I had for the hotel. I've never experienced such a lack of service. The hotel and room itself were cute enough.... the room is small and is definitely most appropriate for only one person, especially because the bathroom/shower don't offer much privacy. The shower water splashes into the toilet area and makes a bit of a mess. I missed my one housekeeping day out of a five day stay because I was in my room for half an hour, which was a bit inconvenient.

We stayed at the Hoxton in a room for two with a full bed and liked it very much. The location is fabulous, as there are convenience stores, quick eats and a metro station just nearby. Shoreditch is tons of fun for a traveler who wants good nightlife, though it wouldn’t be the best fit for a family or for a traveler who wants a more mellow experience. As you enter, there is a large cafe/restaurant seating area in the lobby, which is remnant of the coffee shop in the TV show “Friends”. Same vibe! There’s good service for the cafe/restaurant, and all charges can simply be added to your room bill. The folks at the friend desk were very nice and helpful. After check in, you can take one of two elevators up to your room. The elevators were very quick- we never waiting for than a minute and we were there on a weekend! The room it self was exactly what we wanted. Clean, tidy and cozy. There wasn’t a ton of excess space, but that was perfect as we didn’t want to pay for a big, lavish room. All of the furniture seemed new, and the TV was hooked up so we could surf the channels when we had a moment. There was also a modern radio appliance, which had a USB that could let you charge devices. There was also a refrigerator and a safe for valuables. Additionally, they included a nifty map of London, which really came in handy for a first time visitor like myself. The bathroom’s fixtures all seemed new- everything was clean, and the shower was strong and spacious. There were plenty of towels as well and a great mirror with excellent lighting for getting ready. The only thing I wished was that there was an electrical outlet in the bathroom, but I didn’t find one. We didn’t have much of a view but that was okay- the curtains were strong and totally kept the light out in the mornings (which was great because we had some long nights.) All in all, I loved staying here- this is a perfect location for somebody staying in Shoreditch who wants a nice, clean, but well priced place to stay. I will absolutely stay here again when in Shoreditch!

This place was so comfy, and there are lots of restaurants/bar/convenient store. Locate near the bus stop! The price was affordable for a group of friends. The location was easy to travel around london. Moreover, I met the cutest reception here💘
