Hotel berhampiran Lidl, Lorrach

Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und ich konnte mich wirklich sehr wohlfüllen . Das essen war sehr lecker und man hatte auch eine gute Auswahl. Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett und höfflich. Ich gehe immer noch hin um Bowling oder Tennis mit der Familie zu spielen und ich habe immer eine super Zeit. Der Bowling Platz ist wirklich schön und es ist immer jemand an der Bar für Drinks. Das Hotel ist einfach super gut. Mir fällt es immer schwer in Hotels gut und gemütlich zu schlafen aber hier war es fast 1 zu 1 wie zuhause.

We had booked two rooms and were positively suprised that they were adjacent and connected via a little corridor which was closed off by another door - hence essentially one apartment with four small rooms and two balconies. We visited friends in the area. The hotel is well connected both on the German side (S5) and Tram 6 on the Swiss (Basel) side which is less than a 10 min walk. The rooms are clean and the bathroom we used was reasonably modern standard. All the essentials are there. The hotel is competitively priced.

De kamer was prima met goede bedden en een fijne inloopdouche. Er was een bureau met aparte stoel aanwezig en een zitje (twee stoelen met tafeltje). Wat ontbrak was een waterkoker en thee/koffie fasciliteiten. Goed werkende airco en relatief stil. Het ontbijt (buffet) was uitgebreid en goed. Het restaurant viel ons minder in de smaak (Mexicaans), maar dat is persoonlijk. De directe omgeving van het hotel was rommelig (industriegebied). Je zit wel snel in Basel (circa 6 km naar centrum).

Chose the hotel as it was in an excellent location for us as we love to travel. I wanted to see the Rhein again in Germany my son wanted Switzerland so the perfect compromise. Everything was great. The rooms were clean and spacious, staff on reception were helpful especially the male member of staff. Very polite and helpful even when very busy. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. There’s supermarkets/shopping centres/ buses and trams on the doorstep and the nicest views on the Rhein.

Our 3 day trip in Basel concludes on more positives than nagging issues. First the good part: Staff such as Steven, Catia and Michael are worth mentioning as they did their best to accommodate our requests. In general the front office staff seems rather well trained and courteous. Secondly the location of this hotel is ideal. With access to train, tram and bus stations within a couple 100 metres is very convenient. Sound isolation and sleep quality are pretty decent. Rooms are modern and seem to ve renovated recently. Ample parking available in the basement. The best part is the entrance of the hotel is within the private space and does not hinder public traffic. So parking the vehicle to offload the luggage is practical. I feel one of the best designs of this hotel is to be able to manoeuvre your car and allow guests to be able to safely disembark. Breakfast is decent and very clean setup. No signs of hygiene issues. And now to the few nagging issues: First the over engineering of elevators and their use can ve confusing at first. Staff should take time to read any messages and requests done through third party booking platforms. Although requests were addressed promptly but could have avoided delays. Room temperature settings difficult to comprehend for kelvins to Celsius conversions. Also the room was quite warm and slightly unpleasant in the evening. Breakfast should consider some infant friendly options too. Value for money - a miss for sure. Overall I would say it was quite a pleasant experience but the management needs to step up on making it a value proposition.

I had booked 3 rooms for myself and my family for 6 nights to visit the lovely city of Basel and the rest of Switzerland. Even though the country and city were beautiful there were a few things that were not acceptable. Firstly, I was disappointed that there were no complimentary water bottles in the rooms, unlike any other Marriott rooms I have stayed in. During our stay, Sarah was always kind enough to provide water bottles when asked which made our night. However when I asked for water again on our 3rd night via the Bonvoy App, someone very rudely rejected my request, as you can see in the below screenshot of the message from the app. It was not pleasant and made me feel very uncomfortable to ask for a bottle of water. Being a Platinum member I did not expect to be spoken to that way for a bottle of water. Secondly, on my last night, I spoke with Sarah regarding my F&B credit that I chose upon check-in and it was mentioned that I was entitled to 10CFH per person per room per night. I double checked if it could be accumulated and then used in one go and I was told I could, so I decided to have dinner with everyone on our last night. When I checked-out, a man who came from the restaurant and checked out my rooms, I confirmed with him if I could get my F&B credit applied and he said yes, he rushed my check out and went back to the restaurant. When I received my final invoice online a few hours later with only say 1 day's F&B credit applied and not all for the 6 nights I was led to believe I could have. I was told I could get 10CHF per person per room night which is 20 x 3= 60, 60 x 6 = 360 CHF F&B discount as per Sarah and that she would write notes on my reservation so that the discount could be applied. If you see my invoices attached below, only 20CHF was applied for the whole duration. Can you please apply the discount that I was verbally told and confirmed several times as I was ordering the food and as I was checking out and compensate/refund what was charged on my card? I am very upset that there was not cohesive communication between the receptionists, I was being given incorrect information every time I spoke to a different person at the Front Desk. Thirdly, I was only told by Sarah that my postcards would be sent complimentary as I asked how much it would cost, she mentioned it would be complimentary, yet I received a separate invoice for the postcards. I would not have minded paying however telling me it's free and then charging me is unfair and not truthful. Is it how Courtyard Basel treats all their guests? I would like to be compensated, if it was verbally spoken it would be, it should be free, not charged when I am not aware. Lastly, staying for 6 nights you'd expect the room to be cleaned not just tidied... however none of the water bottles that were finished and empty were removed from the room. for 3 consecutive nights, the empty water bottles were left in the room which by the time we left had accumulated into a pile o

We just went there to relax and spend the night, having an early flight. The staff was one of the most helpful I have met recently. Eager to help us, to book a taxi for the morning, to inform us about the dinner time table . Breakfast was quite tasty and the room opens early in the morning. No trouble with our vaccine Certificates. Everything was smooth at this hotel. The room is modern and comfortable.
