Hotel Loughborough dengan Sarapan

We had high hopes of this hotel as it seemed very modern walking in. Self check in worked well, although you have to enter your car reg for parking on a different system. We booked an accessible room as I have limited walking ability and it was lovely, plenty of space and a well equipped bathroom. The breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of choice. Unfortunately, there were quite a few negatives. The public spaces are very cold, the evening food choice in the restaurant is limited and pricey. As there is no competition within walking distance I suppose they don’t have to worry. The bar, restaurant and room are also dimly lit. I assume to create ‘mood’ but my partially sighted husband really struggled. However, the biggest disappointment by far was the poor accessibility. Our room had a door pad to open the door to go out, but this was rendered useless as you had to manually open it to unlock it. As a power scooter user, this meant pulling up to the door, opening it, reversing back to use the pad to fully open it and then exiting the room. But to get in to the room there was no pad, so it required a hefty shove to get it to open once you’d unlocked it. Ironically, our room was the only door to have a door open pad on it. Which made getting to the lift impossible on your own. It’s very disappointing that a new building, which has clearly had money spent on it, has not considered some of the basics for wheelchair users to help them be independent. There is nothing worse than having to rely on others, particularly strangers, to do simple tasks.

酒店在歐洲來説房間算大，房間裏面很乾凈，服務要打電話去前台，就𠕇服務員及時提供服務。早餐還不錯，如果不包早餐，自己花十歐左右就可以享用早餐了。整體感覺還不錯，性價比高。是一個可以值得信賴的酒店。

Let's start off with the negative. Google Maps calls this hotel 4 star. It's not - but then it doesn't charge what a 4 star hotel would. What you get is what it calls itself: a guesthouse. With very friendly, helpful staff and a small but very comfortable room. I didn't have a massage, so can't comment on those, but look out for midweek discounts. I did, though, discover it has a Thai restaurant (not mentioned on the website). I went there simply for convenience, but found the food was great. Spicy means spicy, not the sort of medium version you get in some Thai restaurants, so take their labels seriously. And the food is freshly prepared and made on the spot - definitely to be recommended.

Hotel was clean, rooms were big, bed was large and very comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Plenty of parking spaces. Staff were friendly enough, we didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on food, but all in all a pleasant stay at The Link.

If you’ve seen The Shining you know what to expect If you haven’t, watch it when you get back 👍🏼 Other than that I have a few observations; Firstly there’s no bar and no food so don’t forget to pack what you need if you’re an early riser The pillows are tiny and you get 3 for a double bed which would be fine if you weren’t sharing The bed, pillows and mattress have not been upgraded since the 1970s, it’s squeakier than a mouse in a trap Don’t worry about FIRE, they’ve got it covered. Literally. The smoke head is wrapped in plastic and masking tape, I know they haven’t decorated recently (seriously they can’t have) so…. I am hoping the night porter has big loud yelling voice and that’s why the fire regs don’t apply to this hotel The blood 🩸 on the back of the bathroom door damn nearly finished me off but I was so busy trying to keep the towel rail on the wall and find a socket to charge my phone 📱 ….. just know I’m going to be knackered tomorrow

Keepers Lodge is located in Swithland, just 7.2 miles from Belgrave Road and 8.3 miles from De Montfort University. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the bed and breakfast free of charge. East Midlands Airport is 13 miles from the property.

Great location & fab gardens,hotel inside is dated & needs a make over,our room was basic,bed comfy,black mould on bathroom mastic & cracked tiles in shower area,stained tiles in ceiling area,patio doors to outside,but on opening in the morning,was greeted by a white transit van right outside doors & the wedding planners for the next wedding going back & forth,so couldn’t even have the curtains open,great full English breakfast options,but food had clearly been kept warm for quite a while,no plates,no tea bags,had to ask,tables hadn’t been cleared of dirty plates,glasses,mugs,etc & no staff to be seen,so had to clear our own table,staff all looked miserable & when they did appear,not one of them spoke to us!

Visited for 1 night mid week in the middle of February. On the room booking I added that we’d like to eat in the restaurant at about 6pm and that we’d require gluten free options at breakfast as my partner is coeliac. Check in was simple and as I was about to ask about dinner I was told we had a table at 6 booked for us. The room was big and has plenty of space, comfy bed and a decent tea and coffee selection is provided. Excellent dinner in the evening with plenty of gluten free options across the menu. Breakfast was where it stepped up even further. You get a standard buffet style continental breakfast with plenty of choice of pastries, cereals, fruit, meats and cheese. But on the table was an extensive selection of gluten free pastries and cereals all covered ready for us. We will be returning whenever we’re visiting the Town Hall
