Ulasan Pakhongthong Villa

The hotel's location is excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to the night market (or 'foreigner street' as it's sometimes called) and just a minute's walk to the Mekong River. Around 6:30 AM, monks pass by for alms giving, and you can participate right outside the hotel entrance. The hotel has a minimalist style and doesn't provide slippers, toothbrushes, or toothpaste. Shampoo comes in travel-sized sachets along with small bars of soap. A car ride from the hotel to the airport for two people costs 150,000 Kip for the drop-off service.

It's relatively quiet, conveniently located, and the owner provides good service in Chinese, making it ideal for a relaxing stay. Bus rides are available right on the street outside. It's also quite convenient to get to That Luang Temple, Mount Phousi, the night market, and the riverside.

Friendly and professional staff. Clean simple rooms. Excellent location, can walk to many restaurants, bakeries, night market, rivers, mountain temple, etc. WiFi could be faster and more reliable. Breakfast is okay, great fruit plate and croissants. Excellent staff. Laundry two doors down.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making me feel at home throughout my stay. The location is right in the town center, which made it very convenient to explore the main attractions, cafés, and night market on foot. The building itself is full of charm and character, reflecting the heritage of Luang Prabang. They also offer motorbike rental services, which is very handy for travelers who want to explore further. Another point I appreciated is that they keep guests’ passports safely in-house, rather than handing them to an external party—this gave me extra peace of mind. Honestly, I couldn’t find any downside during my stay. Everything was smooth and enjoyable, and I would happily return again.

I love the Villa a lot. It’s quiet, clean, and very near to the river, old town, and temples. The breakfast is so great. Customer service is top notch! I love every minute of my stay in Luang Prabang and this hotel is a part of that.

Very good stay in Pakhongthong Villa, the room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is nice with a good shower. The hotel is not in the main street but in a parallel street, so it is more calm at night and in the morning, but it is also close from the main street and the night market. The staff was good and helpful with us.

Great location with friendly and english-speaker staff. Walking distance to night market & museum. Alms giving ceremony just in front of this guesthouse. Mount Phousi trailhead is also just nearby. Offers many services & tour options with the cheapest price. For a muslim like me, it is easy to locate halal restaurants nearby - right by the Mekong riverside. All in all, I’m glad i stayed here and will definitely stay again if i am visiting Luang Prabang in future. Thanks 🙏

Location is good as it’s near to the main city of Luang Prabang. Sound proofing was really bad, can hear ppl’s footsteps at corridor. Room is clean One thing I really don’t like is that one of the staffs was dishonest. They charged us 190k kip for airport ride. But when we checked with another staff for our return airport transport, he told us it was only 150k Kip, he was shocked too when heard that we were charged 190k kips.  Many restaurants nearby.

A very cozy little home with only three guest rooms in total. The service is excellent, and the owner always greets you warmly whenever they see you. The facilities and cleanliness are decent enough, as you can't expect too much given the nature of the place.

I recently stayed at Pakhongthong Villa in Luang Prabang, and it was an exceptional experience! The location is perfect, conveniently situated near key attractions and within easy walking distance to the city center. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. They assisted us in booking a minivan to the stunning Kuang Si Waterfalls and also arranged a shuttle to the train station, which was very convenient. The villa itself is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful and luxurious ambiance. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Luang Prabang!

The owner is very familiar with surrounding restaurants, if you have no good options in mind, just ask him, his recommendations are always nice! I do like its layout, very typical style of Laos. It’s clean without annoying mosquitoes 😅

The room was spacious and clean, with a lovely Southeast Asian vibe. The guy at the front desk spoke Chinese and was very friendly and welcoming.
