Hotel La Luna was just a lovely place to stay whilst we explored Lucca and the surrounding area. It was very well located for the Centro Storico, only a couple of hundred yards from the Piazza Antifeatro. The rooms were very comfortable (especially the beds) and were always kept clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in the hotel and they were very attentive to guests. There was a good range of foods available for breakfast each day from pastries and cakes to boiled eggs to the traditional cooked meats and cheeses. All in all a very pleasant stay.

We have just stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and the staff were very helpful. Rooms very clean, sheets good quality, complimentary bikes available for cycling around Lucca and round city walls. Only negative comment - we didn’t enjoy the pre-packed, unappetising croissants and rolls for breakfast. Would stay here again.

Loved this property. Couldn’t ask for better with the location. We walked to everything. Lucca is not huge but it was good to be in a spot that was fairly quiet at night. We were there for 4 nights that went over a weekend. There was a bar at the end of the street where a LOT of people gathered and there was noise from there but the minute the window was closed you could not really hear them. It was hot weather but the room was cool even with the windows shut so all good. There are restaurants and cafes close by and it is a short walk to the Piazza Anfiteatro where you are spoilt for dining options. Our room, Flora, was big. The bed was very comfortable, water was hot, WiFi was good and there is a fridge. The establishment itself is quiet. We couldn’t hear other guests at all. The included breakfast is very good. Plenty to choose from and should suit everyone. It set us up for the day. The only thing we would have liked was having access to make a cup of tea outside of breakfast hours. Not a complaint but it would have been nice. We didn’t have a car so I can’t comment on the parking area but it was an easy taxi ride from Lucca station. The hosts were amazing. Very helpful and friendly.we would definitely recommend a stay here.

PPengguna TetamuI cannot say enough about this hotel. It was without a doubt the best hotel of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip…everything from the lobby, location, staff, room size, breakfast buffet, wifi, bed....it was terrific. The website photos are indicative of the hotel, rooms etc. (look at the gallery and you will see photos of the buffet, rooms, common area etc). First, its in a great location in the old town. Half a block and you are in one of the main plazas. 5 min and you are on the main shopping street of Via Fillungo. The hotel is actually on a bit on the edge of the old town…shortly after you come through the main gate ….so it was VERY easy to drive to ..and drive out of..without getting lost on all the small streets (note: we used google maps and it was telling us to turn just as we got to the hotel..but we saw the hotel just a bit down the street in front of us) On leaving I asked the front desk the easiest way to get out and he said, turn left, then another left..then right…and we were then headed out the main gate of the city. Could not have been easier. The hotel is on a small plaza so easy to park in front of it to unload your luggage..and they have valet parking...for a fee. Front desk staff was super helpful throughout out stay. Our room was very modern, with a great bed, plenty of desk and other space, plenty of plugs, and a large bathroom with a big shower. Wifi was fine. Breakfast was by far the best of all the ones on our trip. Plenty of hot food items, many different pastries, cheesecake and other assorted baked items to choose from, smoked salmon, cold meats and cheeses, plenty of different fruits..and on and on. They also have a nice outdoor patio area on the plaza which made for a wonderful start to our day. Overall, I cannot think of any other hotel I would consider to stay in Lucca. This one has it all.

PPengguna TetamuWell located and nice lobby. The all day coffee machine was broken but I did enjoy the gratis bubbles in the afternoon .
The room was pretty small but efficient but my big complaint were the large number of teeny ants..I first noticed them on the floor by the bed then again in the corner of the bathroom floor by the shower.
Kind of grossed me out but other than that a fine stay.

PPengguna TetamuIn questo soggiorno ho provato due stanze su tre: molto ampie, spaziose, dotate di tutto, compresi macchinetta caffè, bollitore, caramelle e un piacevole kit aperitivo con patatine e bevanda analcolica. Noi l'abbiamo gustato nel piccolo giardinetto arredato con tavolini e poltroncine, e impreziosito da piccole lampade e fili di lucine solari. ”Luce” quindi di nome e di fatto. Sia il bagno in comune che il bagno privato erano ben puliti, forniti di dispenser con shampoo, bagnoschiuma e persino balsamo. All'ingresso un boiler di acqua filtrata sempre a disposizione per riempire bicchieri e borracce. Ma la vera chicca di questo posto è la cortesia di Cristian, che ci ha fornito foto con indicazioni per raggiungere la struttura, foto per arrivare a piedi in centro, informazioni utili per cenare fuori o per gli eventi a Lucca. Insomma organizzatissimo e sempre a disposizione per le richieste degli ospiti. Interessante e comodo il self check-in! Consigliatissimo!!!! Unica nota (Luce è fuori le mura): occhio ai taxi se avete il treno di mattina presto: non accettano prenotazioni e 40 minuti prima non ne abbiamo trovato neanche uno a disposizione per arrivare in stazione.

Esperienza positiva in tutto se dovessi tornare a Lucca pernotterei ancora qui
