Very warm welcome. The hotel corresponds to the description and pictures. Beautiful, clean room and bathroom. A large and comfortable bed and the requested ergonomic extra pillow was also there. For my dog, there was a dog bed, water bowl, and a welcome treat. And there was even an extra door tag that there was a dog in the room. Very convenient if you want to leave the dog in the room for a short time. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection from scrambled eggs and bacon to cold cuts, salmon and various cheeses, fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice, just to name a few, because there was so much more. I would especially like to mention the exceptionally attentive staff at breakfast who, after telling them my room number, presented me with a variety of choices of lactose-free and plant-based milk and yogurt - a preference I could also choose before arrival. Overall, an exceptional stay and highly recommended!

We had one night here en route to the south, but would like to come back and explore the area further. We thought that the room rate and breakfast were excellent value, particularly for Switzerland. The hotel has been well maintained to a good 4 star level (it's a 5 star review, but for a 4 star hotel). Nice, old fashioned decor (1890s Belle Epoque meets 1980s), lovely people at reception, a grand room for the restaurant (not used) and for breakfast) and very comfortable beds. We will return!

Great and clean room, nice spa, but super disappointed by both restaurants. Upon arrival, reception recommended me to book a table. I was a bit surprised as I was solo and it was far from high season, but ok. They told me that the restaurant I wanted to book was full at 7:00pm, so I choosed 7:30. Was then quite surprised to arrive at 7:30 and find an almost empty restaurant (3 tables only with 2-3 guests each were occupied). The day after, as I was not sure when I'll be ready for dinner, I decided not to book. I showed up at 8:00 pm in the other restaurant. Was quite optimistic as it seemed there were as few people as the day before in the other restaurant. But then, the guy in charge told me they were fully booked and I had to come back half an hour later. After looking at the tables, I looked at him repeating ”you are fully booked” and he said yes. So I left and end up eating small things I had in my room. I am not sure if it was pure sexism, as I am a woman and alone, but definitely not the expected level from Kempiski. Will never return again.

PROS * Incredible unique building * Iconic fairy-tale type structure * Stunning unique period-piece architecture * A true remnant of ”La Belle Epoque” * Isolated and tranquil (but only when day hikers have not yet arrived or have departed) * Stunning lobby and ground and first-floor * Exquisitely and tastefully furnished sitting rooms * Beautiful and well-manicured grounds * Unspeakable breath-taking scenery of the waterfalls and lake * Access to ”easy” super pleasant hikes along the waterfalls CONS * It can be hectic during the day with all the hikers * Primary access by boat and fun icular for guests, but cars can get there too ”I VISITED THIS PLACE”... ... because I was hiking up along and to the top of the waterfall, and this was a bonus to see and visit. It was quite busy with meals being served to the many many day visitors- there must have been at least 50-70 at any given moment. Surely the outside beauty speaks for itself but to see the inside lobby and sitting rooms and (at least two) indoor dining rooms for the honored guests- what surprising lush elegance and soft under spoken glamour. I was thrilled to be able to wander and explore all the public areas of the ground and first floor. TIPS It is truly an amazing place- even if your goal is to hike (and who doesn't want to hike), this place should be visited. Great location as it's just beside the cable car station to Titlis. The sauna and the pool were both well maintained. Overall, the stay was good. The service could have been better though.

Looking for a relaxing break in the Swiss Alos, close to the slopes, I found this little gem: a hotel, pretty rustique in the traditional Swiss way! Not far from the heart of Engelberg but far enough to contemplate the sky, see the stars and hear only the heartbeat of nature. Clean, very very clean, with comfortable rooms, not big, just comfy, most with a balcony overviewing the village. Staff, super nice and polite, ready to help and advise: had a 10% discount in my ski rental and anytime I wanted to go skiing they got in the minivan and took me to the resort! The restaurant was also nice, with delicious dishes and a savvy wine list. Not to miss! Only point I would like to note, the breakfast buffet: every day the same, not always fresh fruits available. Would like some variety and some chocolate croissants, please! Overall, a must go!

遠超預期的酒店，攜程的酒店圖片真的把這家酒店的檔次搞低了，酒店無敵的好，我們的房間180度陽台，無敵的景色，陽台側面（圖一），陽台正面以及餐廳看出去的景色（圖2-4）。畢竟這麼高貴的地方，心理上也是怕服務員高傲，結果酒店服務人員服務無敵好，孩子要加一個沙發床，瞬間搞好了，吃飯加了15瑞郎的奶酪，服務員給娃詳細介紹了各種奶酪（隨便吃）。一路很少吃到蔬菜，這裏點到了一大盤蔬菜，第二天還為我們客制了一份grilled蔬菜。各種菜也很好吃。雖然4500一晚的價格是貴的，一家三口帶12歲娃，所以要貴點，但是這個景色這個服務，絕對值。
