Let me just say, the inn and the inn keeper Art were truly delightful I enjoyed the leisurely aspect of the inn Art said treat it as if it were your own home, which i did I also enjoyed his attention to detail The interest he showed in whatever I did. Chuck and the main street bakery were very inviting. Thank you Chuck the cinnamon roll was out of this world. The private gate put my mind at ease for safety purposes. The Chop House what a bonus Delicious filet cooked to perfection. I'd love to return as we didn't get to the mountains but I'm sure the mountains will be there until I return. Thank you Art we had a tremendous vacation. You were the cherry on top of my cake Michelle p Spencer Chesapeake. Virginia

This experience was wonderfully decadent. The food is great, the coffee is phenomenal and the stay helped my family unwind and enjoy the surrounding area. We felt very spoiled. The bakery across the street makes the best cinnamon rolls. Truly, it is the best B&B getaway.

Wonderful ambience. A beautifully restored home from the 1800's. Great location, a gracious and very accommodating host. Surrounded by history and easy access to world class tourist attractions and quaint nearby restaurants. Couldn't ask for more!

We were looking forward to our visit to the Shenandoah Valley National Park with Luray being a nice place to stay. The next time we visit we will look forward to Luray which is secondary to no place we’ve visited. We recommend the Inn of the Shenandoah! It has a private gated parking lot for guests. Great food, kindness, and personal service are normal experiences at the inn. We were at home away from home. Art is a gracious host who was available for our every need. A great night’s sleep was followed by fresh baked everything for breakfast. Fresh ground coffee made to order rounded out the beginning of our morning. We also enjoyed the bakery across the street and the bistro next door. The food from both was simply the best. The weather was not agreeable during our visit but it did not matter. The people of Luray made this a 5 star experience. Thanks for everything, Art. We look forward to our return.

What can I say. When you stay here you are treated like royalty. At least that's how it was for me and my wife. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary. We stayed here for our honeymoon and wanted a special treat for our 30th. Making the reservations was easy. Normally they close down for the winter starting in December, but they were accommodating and stayed open for us to celebrate our 30th. The house and rooms are well decorated with many antiques and art. We stayed in The Boudoir Suite which consisted of a king size bed in one room and the bath/spa in the other. The bathroom was as big as our bedroom with a separate shower and jacuzzi hot tub. It had its own entrance and private deck area. One other nice advantage was the private parking in the rear with a gated entrance. Art, the resident staff member, was the kindest friendliest person you could have on site. He met all of our needs. When it came to where to go or for things to do, he was honest and had a lot of ideas. The same was for eating out. He lets you know what the reviews were from previous guests along with his own personal experiences. He took in the consideration for my wife's gluten sensitivity and took the time to get her snacks and prepare her breakfasts to be gluten-free. Whenever we saw him he would always ask us how we were doing and if he could get us anything. It was always a pleasure talking with him. We are looking forward to visiting again in the spring to take part in Luray's water, hiking and other outdoors activities. If you are looking for a place to relax with a friendly atmosphere no need to look anywhere else this is the place to go.

We were making plans for our 40th Anniversary trip, a milestone to be sure. We settled on the Shenandoah Valley in Luray Virginia. It was the right choice. We were able to book our 2 night stay at The Beautiful, Inn of The Shenandoah due to a cancellation. From the moment we arrived, the Innkeeper, Art welcomed us with such warmth. He showed us around the lovely ,well appointed Inn and helped us to our room. We booked the Turret Suite ,which was beautiful, with a King Sized 4 poster bed and jacuzzi. Upon awakening, Art had left beautiful roses at our door for our Anniversary. It was a special touch indeed. We had a delicious crab quiche and vegetable breakfast in the cozy dining area. Art, had also taken the time to put an itinerary together for us to see several highlights on Skyline Drive. I can't tell you how invaluable that was to us. We hiked and visited specific places that Art had suggested. He is a wealth of information. We were overwhelmed by the incredible beauty of this special place. Of course the perfect weather helped. I will tell you, we are planning to return and The Inn of the Shenandoah is at the top of our list. It has easy access to Skyline Drive and has a wonderful ,cozy feel that made our Anniversary celebration indelible. Gratefully , Rob and Joan

Conveniently located on the main thoroughfare of Luray, this lovely, charming, clean bed and breakfast provided all the best bells & whistles and more. A shining example of southern hospitality with little touches like take-away anytime snacks and coffee, fresh flowers for your room, bath salts for the large sunken tub, an in-room refrigerator, and one of the most friendly, accommodating, welcoming innkeepers we've ever encountered. Breakfast was always delicious with multiple offerings. If we ever needed a recommendation or a to-do idea, Innkeeper Art was a font of information. We so appreciated our relaxing and restorative stay here. This place is so much better than staying at a DIY Airbnb!

We loved our stay at the Inn of Shenandoah. Art is an amazing host, very easy to communicate, knows everything about the area, and is always available for any questions. You will be treated to delicious, fresh pastries, fruit, and juices for breakfast. Rooms are very comfortable with everything you would need including a mini fridge. The inn is a beautiful Victorian house with lots of space to hang out and very close (2-5 minutes of walking) to food and drink options in the town. It's also a great base for hiking, close to Shenandoah NP, Old Rag Mountain, and George Washington State Forest. We're already planning on going back in Fall and would definitely recommend it to anyone who would love to explore the area and hike the nearby mountains.

The Inn of the Shenandoah provides a very pleasant, quiet place to relax. Innkeeper Art was very attentive to our preferences for breakfast, providing lots of healthy choices. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants, shops, and churches. Outside entrances to suites provide easy access. Roses and chocolates were waiting for us by my request for our anniversary.
