Was happy to be back here. Every thing I asked for was arranged with a smile, from extra towels, to suggesting changes to my meals and menu, no ask was too big for the hospitable staff to assist with. Try their frozen strawberry daquiri or mojito to cope with the humidity

My go to place in Lusaka on return trips. World class, international standard service and food offering comparable to any good hotel in Europe. Try the biltong beet salad and the selection of bruschetta. Also great place to go while shopping in the area for a reprieve.

Terrible place, very noisy up to 5am, hardly slept. We had the tiniest room and bathroom. There is less than two feet between the toilet and the door. Food was very expensive. No coffee and water in the rooms. It has a very cold atmosphere Will not recommend this place !

You will not be able to get any sleep at this place, as every night is disco night, and the music is just as loud in your room as on the dancefloor. The hotel also has severe sanitation problems. But that's the smaller problem. Don't book this place - you will definitely regret it.

This hotel is poorly built. There are cracks in the finishing and attachments of the metal walls, which lets in noise and insects. Mosquities and the booming sound of the nearby nightclub each and every night are the smaller problems. The fact that the rooms are infested with cockroaches is a much bigger one. It's also generally dirty and food is unfresh. Rooms lack and kind of amenities such as even a warm water boiler. Bathrooms are tiny and modular, and the cracks between these modular bathrooms and the shafts, as well as between the walls and the ceiling, constitute points of entry for the insects, which cannot be prevented. Be prepared to have a room that is teeming with mosquitoes and roaches whenever you have had the light on for some time. Beware: management will not let you check out early and be reimbursed due to these problems, and reception will be openly rude if you even mention it.

Beautiful hotel with interesting art, amazing service, comfortable rooms, a nice restaurant, and some seriously cold air conditioning. It is adjacent to shopping mall, where there are bank machines. Taxi to the airport is about 190K.

Stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. The staff could not have made us anymore welcome from walking in to leaving. The chap managing the operation (Peter) was constantly guiding and mentoring the staff, his influence made a big impact. All the staff were very attentive, polite and courteous. What not hesitant to recommend Cargo 88 to anyone considering a stay there.

Cargo88 feels like home where things are predictable but also changes with time, like the menu adapting, the view from the room on a hot African day and then it suddenly rains. It is an ever changing evolution, though at the same time safe and stable. Will always have a special place in my heart.

Excellent property with a very unique design concept. Excellent innovation at full display. Just loved how the reception area eases into the Bar and dinning area.
The one thing that I didn't like for the Room with the Balcony was noises from the metal roof from even slight rain drops.
