Well, the penthouse-like restaurant: definitely one of the most splendid views of a capital city in Europe, slightly as breathtaking as the other vis-à-vis I had in this very restaurant on Saturday the 15th of July: an exquisite smile on a lonesome dark-haired woman right before me, later at breakfast, surely a daughter of Aphrodite she is! As available, I should have applied for late checkout on Sunday morning instead of leaving behind her at the reception desk, (sigh) weekends are always too short! So yes, all views considered, splendid breakfast in the restaurant (dining slightly less splendid as one view was missing)! ;) More seriously, this train station is only 10 min afoot away, so you can admire the city as making your way up there. Also, very nice single room, copious dishes, pleasant desserts (the mango was nicely done) and all that a caring personnel! On that note, a very nice weekend in this hotel, I'll definitely be back next year, hopefully to admire again the exact same views! To all the hotel personnel: Thanks for your service!

My family and I had a pleasant stay at Double Tree Hilton Hotel. All of the personnel are very kind, polite, and friendly, especially the reception staff and the restaurant staff. Hospitality was very good. The hotel is a cozy, calm, and beautiful place.

First, the not-so-good. There was one staff member at the front desk who was less-than-friendly. There is no shower curtain, which renders it impossible to keep the bathroom floor dry. The toilet bowl is very low. There are lots of wasps near the breakfast area. The pillow was super flat. What I loved: the location - super close to downtown Luxembourg City. The breakfast offered a good variety of fresh and local foods (I did not pay separately for breakfast). The rooms were spacious with lots of electric/USB sockets. There was an air conditioner in the room. The bathroom was spotless and well-lit. Beds were comfortable. I did not hear from anyone else within the hotel, although I stayed at the hotel in August during peak season. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was at a place with spectacular view.

This hotel has more pros than cons. Staff very professional. Excellent food for breakfast so pretty pricey at 27 Euro. The rooms look very old fashioned and could do with a bit of touch up but I think that's part of the hotel's charm. I got a single room and it cost me about 98 US Dollars on trip.com's wonderful website. An excellent value for that price even an excellent value for $150 after that find someplace a little newer. Breakfast is really excellent except the eggs were undercooked and the bacon was undercooked and when I asked them to take it back to the kitchen and cook it a little more they would only cook the bacon for me. Maybe in Luxembourg people eat their eggs sweat but no way I could stomach that it would probably make me ill so I skipped the eggs. However the cheese was top notch and the meal was worth 27 Euro if you could eat 27 euro worth of cheese. I would even go so far as to say I would stay here again. The bathroom is a little outdated but charming and had birds and flowers on the tiles. The hotel front desk man acted as a concierge but clearly he had been there for a long time and was very well trained and had very good advice about where to eat and what to see. I like the whole staff and an added asset was the bar downstairs brings you back to many years ago. I was lucky enough to get a balcony in my room and it would be a wonderful idea if I had trouble with somebody to have wine on the balcony and watch the world go by. I will post my view from my balcony. I call this hotel room with a view. The hotel had more more pros than cons and I was happy with my decisions to stay there.

Wir waren mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Gute Lage in der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofes, 10 Minuten zu Fuß ins Stadtzentrum. Moderne, klimatisierte Zimmer, Fenster kann man zumindest in Kippstellung öffnen. Leider hat der Kühlschrank nicht funktioniert. Zimmer renoviert, schönes großes Badezimmer mit toller Regendusche. Beleuchtung im Zimmer allerdings etwas düster. Frühstück war sehr lecker und bot alles, was man erwartet: verschiedene Eierspeisen, Müsli, Obst, verschiedene Brot und Kuchensorten, kleine Aufschnittauswahl. Wir würden wieder dort buchen.

While it is a bit of a walk from the nearest tram station, the room was amazing. As a well designed physical space 10/10, interior design 10/10. Refrigerator and beautiful mid 20th century design red chairs were a visual knockout. The wall next to the bed had a panel that had to have been a hand painted “mural”, from floor to the ceiling a gentle blue gradation that was a joy to experience from the super comfy bed. I would definitely book a room the next time I visit Luxembourg City.

We had the most extraordinary stay at the Place d'Armes Hotel - a truly luxurious destination. We had booked one of the less expensive rooms but when Thibaud noticed I was traveling with a college-aged son, he realized that we would both appreciate more privacy than the room allowed. He showed us several alternative rooms to see which would be most suitable, and ended up giving us a double upgrade just so that we could be more comfortable! Obviously, he couldn't have done this if the hotel were full (in high season) -- but just to think of it showed such incredible thoughtfulness. Indeed, throughout our stay we were blown away by how proactively thoughtful the staff was. They didn't just answer questions or meet requests -- they anticipated them. We didn't know rain was forecast -- but they did, and offered umbrellas. We didn't realize that driving out of town required following a different route than we had taken into town -- but they did, and provided instructions before we asked. We also ate in the restaurant -- breakfast and dinner -- and it was simply wonderful. First, of course, the incredibly gracious staff. But the food was also delicious and -- for those not familiar with Luxembourg cuisine, exotic! The breakfast spread was beautiful and lavish. The whole experience felt wildly out of our budget. We were treated like royalty.

During my last business trip to Luxembourg, I stayed in a classic double room in the annex to the Grand Hotel Victor Hugo. The stay was excellent, and because of the summer temperatures I particularly appreciated the air conditioning and the window shutters. The spacious and clean room had an excellent bed, a large flat screen TV, a kettle to make coffee or tea and a minibar that can be used as a small fridge. The free WiFi always worked fine and the spacious shower cabin in the bathroom was a final plus. Staff were friendly and professional and the breakfast buffet offered a good quality and variety. However, there were some minor drawbacks that prevents me from giving the top score. I found it annoying that the safe in the room did not work, which meant that I could not safely store my laptop in the evening. The hairdryer did not work either. The double bed actually consists of two joined single beds (though with an excellent mattress) and the annex is a rather soulless building. Nevertheless, if I were to visit Luxembourg again, I would be happy to stay at this hotel, although I would consider upgrading to the main building. Prices are a tad lower compared to similar chain hotels in Kirchberg. The Grand Hotel Victor Hugo is a great base for both leisure and business travellers. The free tram stops almost in front of the hotel (Theater stop) and the car can be parked cheaply on the nearby square (Glacis). The rate at Glacis is 1 euro per hour on weekdays between 8 AM and 6 PM and is free outside these hours and on weekends. The centre of Luxembourg is easily accessible on foot and two minutes’ walk away you will find two supermarkets (Cactus and Monop' both open from 7 AM to 8 PM).

設施：房間挺大的。床很舒服。設施都很新。還有Bose的音響，體驗非常好。 環境：在歐盟法院附近，電車站走一兩百米，環境愜意，十分方便。酒店是玻璃頂，採光很好。 服務：很有禮貌，上午辦理入住，下午去找前台他們依然記得我的名字。辦理入住的時候有事，於是他們幫我把行李送到了房間。提出換房間的時候處理速度也非常快，直接把房卡送到我的房間，然後幫我把行李拿到新的房間。

High level service from the reception. We came early, our room was ready, so we could check in before we went to the city centre. Located just a little outside the city, but you can take the tram for free and it stops near the hotel. You can also walk trough a nice park, it takes about half an hour. The room was very lovely and modern with rain shower in the bath. Friendly staff in the restaurant for dinner. Good breakfast.
