during my stay, elevator never fix, night time desk unfriendly, high hill location is worse.

The rooms are huge at this hotel. The "basic" room is a studio with a loft. You can do a somersault in the bathroom. You can cartwheel in the studio. Space is definitely not an issue. However, when traveling with children, a few things need to be keenly aware. If you take public transportation (bus and metro), you will need to walk up a pretty steep hill. So for the physically challenged, this can be tricky. If you have young children who fall asleep, then you better have strong arms and legs to carry them back to the hotel. At night, you will have to walk through some seedy areas of Lyon....again not great with children. I didn't feel it was "unsafe" but the aesthetics is probably not suitable for children. The exterior of the building and hotel grounds is shown in the photo below. On the other hand, having so much space in the room with kids, and having a kitchen in the studio definitely helps if you want to relax and retire early for the day. I cannot really comment on the service of the hotel. We didn't have to ask for anything special. The rooms are clean, and everything we need was already in the room.

酒店在地鐵旁，出地鐵口爬個小山坡就到了。如果帶着大行李箱爬坡有點兒不方便，但在酒店前就可以看到很好的風景。白蘋果廣場裏酒店很近，去的路上還能看到很有意思的塗鴉。訂的單人間裏面還有個小廚房，有做飯的工具，不過我沒用過。早餐好幾種奶酪，總統牌的就有兩種👍。如果再去里昂我還會選擇住這裏。

太差了，如果能打0分，絕不打1分。水平相當於國內的1星招待所。之所以選他，是因為這個酒店標榜了有免費停車場，到了以後才發現，就幾個，根本停不了。我們訂的家庭房，大家可以看下平台上給的照片和我們實際房間的對比圖。巨小，兩個房間有一個細細的過道連接。我們三個行李箱，根本沒有空間打開。酒店房間都在2層以上，電梯壞了幾個月了，也不修，都需要客人自己拎上去。最可氣的是，我們第一天看到實際房間的時候，提出了退房，酒店不允許，可見是見一個宰一個。我通過攜程客服説明瞭此事，攜程態度特別好，一直幫我聯繫此事，但是這破酒店就是不退房。彼此歐洲之行，無論是第一站巴黎還是後期的尼斯羅馬，住宿體驗都不錯，就是里昂的這家，差到極致，千萬別定。

前台非常客氣，值班的工程師也很好，遺憾電梯壞了，步行到美術館和市政廳十分方便，房間設施雖然簡單但是有冰箱和洗碗機熱水壺，院子裏有停車位，可以免費停車，遊覽第一區和老城比較方便的歇腳地。

最好的一點是帶免費停車位，在市區實屬難得，但是停車位是先到先得的，如果傍晚到基本就沒戲了，而且建議停下車就不要動車了，市區開車也不方便。 房間很小，設計也不太合理，7天水準，走廊竟然還配一個洗碗池，還不如把空間用在床附近的區域呢。 服務減分是因為前台總是沒人，我來回兩次想退房，都找不到人，實在不想耗時間就把鑰匙放在前台了。 位置方便，旁邊就是那個文藝小街區，其實就是水泥森林的感覺，在一個像是廢棄其實還有人住的大廈和天井，有很多塗鴉，站在停車場可以看河對岸。

The location on the hill was a challenge with suitcases but the view made up for this. We could see Mont Blanc on a clear day. The room was basic but adequate. There was no housekeeping or air conditioning. We found the fan not really adequate but it was very hot while we stayed 30° +. The breakfast was disappointing and the fruit bowl had bruised, rotting fruit in it. We only had breakfast there once. Overall we thought the room was adequate for the price and we found a great Japanese restaurant near the centre. The staff were helpful.

The hotel was satisfactory but that is all 1) The location is good for views over Lyon but you need to be aware it is up a steep hill ( which was ok for us and our daily dose of fitness but would not suit all) 2) The parking is not necessarily free and we had to pay €18 per night to guarantee our space in advance as parking is limited ( large car parks are roughly €30 / night so still slightly better value) 3) The hotel rooms are basic and ours was not clean . The safe was not working and despite staying 4 nights was not sorted during our stay. The toilet leaked. 4) The housekeeping needs support - despite booking for 2 people there was only one towel and one extra pillow ( which was easily sorted but it would be nice to have had it sorted before we had to ask ) 5) The outside of the hotel is a public area and is not well kept 6) poor weekend staff ( better during the week) Finally we came with friends and they left to find another hotel after one night - which says it all Probably will not be back

Belambra City is a beautiful ancient fully refurbished complex with a really nice ambience to it. The views from here - including the view from my room in the third floor were stunning - on a good day you could oversee the new City and over to the Alps. The whole building and room is clean and neat. Bathroom could benefit from some upgrade. The staff is very nice. They do serve breakfast, but I did not have it there - looked good though. ON the first day there was not hot water in the morning, because there was apparently a problem with the boiler. When you travel from the train station it is easy - but you will have to walk a huge staircase. With a lot of luggage that will be a struggle - but worth it, because the neighbourhood is very nice.

Pros & Cons of my single bed room for one night: Pros: - lovely staff - each speak many languages and are very helpful/accommodating. I felt welcomed and taken care of from start to finish. - Rooms were clean and secure. - Views of Lyon were gorgeous no matter where you went in the hotel - so you’ll have a nice view no matter what (at least this is the impression I got). - Room had a little two burner electric hotplate with some pots and pans…etc if you prefer to cook your own meals while away. - Room also has a dishwasher and small fridge. - Very close to local amenities/grocery stores and is a 10 minute downhill walk to major attractions (e.g. the opera house and museums…etc.) and cafes, bars and restaurants. Cons: - If you have mobility issues, this place is not for you. Not only is this hotel located up a number of very steep hills, they don’t have a working elevator; and based on the reviews I have read before booking, this has been an issue for a while. - My room was clean, but the whole place is in need of an update. For instance, the toilet bowl was actually literally s**t-stained (you can see they have tried to clean it but haven’t been able to get it all…) and bathroom floor was full of broken tiles. Again, it’s all cleaned well… but desperately needs an update and certain things need replacing. - Whilst your room has a kitchen sink and dishwasher, there is no soap or dishwashing tablets in the room. Apparently if you want these things you have to ask at reception. - No cutlery was provided. This was odd as they give you glasses, plates, and some basic pots and pans, but no utensils to cook or eat with. Perhaps this was also something you need to ask for at reception…? - There is a sign in the room asking you to wash your dishes and take out the garbage before leaving. Whilst I always leave rooms in a tidy state no matter where I stay, THIS IS A HOTEL! Provided I don’t damage property how dare they require patrons to clean the room before they leave. Part of the joy of being in a hotel is having the freedom to leave life behind and leave some responsibilities waiting for you at home. Asking patrons to clean a hotel room does beg the question: What are we paying for?!

Perfect for a budget city break. Great large rooms, lovely and clean. Very helpful staff. Very good buffet breakfast with lots of choices and variety. Short walk to Place des Terreaux but the hotel is at the top of a steep hill so not ideal for people who can't walk too far (especially in the heat). The lift at the hotel was not working and our room was on the 3rd floor so request a ground floor or 1st floor room if you struggle with stairs.

The Villemancy is a simple and no nonsense hotel that provides everything you need at a good price in a good location. A short walk from a metro stop and Croix Rousse as well as stunning views across the Rhone, Lyon and southeast to the Alps. Rooms had what we needed for the short two day trip and the staff were very friendly and super helpful/

Large, spacious room with separate kitchen and walk in wardrobe. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was available at a reasonable daily rate (very few hotels offer parking). The reasonably priced buffet breakfast was replenished regularly with fresh food. The location offers great views over the city but is only a short walk downhill to the metro and city.

Room was clean and spaceous enough for one person. Location is perfect, not far from center and near metro station and supermarkets. It was very quite at night. Room is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, fridge and stove, so I was able to cook and eat in the room. Shower has good water preasure. I could leave my luggage at the reception the last day to explore the city before going back home. All in all a good stay, but I would suggest some things to improve. I think it would be better to leave a couple of dishwasher tablets in the room, rather than having to ask at reception. Also elevator was not working properly, so I ended up climbing the stairs every time (not a problem for me, but it might be for some people). But eventually, a good accommodation with good value for money.
