A wonderful experience at NH Paseo del Prado in Madrid. The ultimate breakfast experience! I had wanted to try the tomato on toast that I had heard about in Spain, but couldn't figure out how it was made. Miguel Angel, a fabulous waiter on the breakfast crew talked me through it, and helped me make this delicious treat. The entire hotel experience was great, but the very personal touch of MIguel Angel made the experience perfect!

As a Marriott Titanium / Lifetime Platinum Elite Guest, our family [husband, wife and two young daughters] decided to visit Madrid, Spain to start our month-long 2023 summer vacation in Europe. We spent five (5) nights at Westin Palace Madrid using our Bonvoy points in late May / early June 2023. Please see the thirty-eight (38) photos we posted with this review of all aspects of the hotel. Within days after making our five (5) night stay using Marriott Bonvoy points approximately ten (10) months prior to our arrival date, we emailed General Manager, Pablo Flores and advised him of our future stay as well as our special requests, including our request for an Executive Suite, which would comfortably host our family of four. Within hours of our email, we received a thoughtful reply Paloma Hidalgo, Director of Rooms, whom immediately provided us with a complimentary guaranteed upgrade to an Executive Suite and further, Ms. Hidalgo readily granted all of our other special requests. The prompt response did not come as a surprise to us given how active the management of this property is in reading and promptly replying to past guests on Trip Advisor as well as the Marriott Bonvoy website, which is but a mere sign of management’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Not surprisingly, we were overjoyed with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at The Westin Palace Madrid. This gorgeous historic hotel is magnificently located in Madrid overlooking the Neptune Fountain and less than a three minute walk to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, less than a five minute walk to the Prado Museum and less than a ten minute walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. It is also extremely close to Retiro Park and is within an easy 15 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via as well as many bars, restaurant, trendy cafés, market and other cultural attractions. You can easily walk everywhere throughout the entire city but public transportation options abound in close proximity to the hotel as well. Our initial visit to the Westin Palace Madrid did not disappoint, especially when the hotel accommodated our extremely early check-in (before 9:00 am). The check-in process with Ms. Hidalgo, Estefanía Martinez, Front Office Assistant Manager and Juan at the reception desk was a breeze. Further, Ms. Martinez was kind enough to personally escort us to our suite and show us all of the features and amenities of same. This was very thoughtful on the part of Ms. Martinez and very much appreciated. Throughout our entire five (5) night stay, Ms. Hidalgo and Ms. Martinez were especially helpful and friendly. We simply loved our Palace Executive Suite with slightly over 1,000 square feet in total space with a sublime view of the Neptune Fountain; it was truly remarkable. We are an American couple from California. We don't usually write reviews but our experience at this hotel was so special that we just had to write a review. Our room was very nice and comfortable, but it was the customer service that we found so excellent. From the moment we checked in with the wonderful welcome at the service desk, and for the four days we stayed, was always so friendly and helpful. The bellman and Adrian were ”standouts.” Patricia, the concierge, was incredible. She always went way out of her way to arrange side trips, extra services and extra details we needed. She was really wonderful and so gracious. For these reasons and much more we plan to return to this hotel again.

Stayed at the nh madrid for a long weekend trip and cannot recommend this hotel enough the staff at the hotel are brilliant and are happy to help with anything from taxis to places to go we stayed in room 701 with a balcony overlooking parts of madrid absolutely beautiful hotel is directly opposite the train station with bus stop and metro just outside so easy access from the airport and only a 15 to 20 minute walk from all madrid has to offer fantastic hotel we look forward to returning xxx

Great location. Walking distance to many cafes and restaurants. We were surprised to learn that the hotel exterior was undergoing a renovation. We checked in our room at 4pm and could hear knocking and hacking on the wall. Thankfully we were just using the room to rest at night. Most of the daytime were spent exploring the city. It would be informative if the hotel inform the guests about the renovation but it is okay for us because we were out.

We stayed at this hotel for our first trip to Madrid, it was the perfect choice. It is located within the main part of Gran Via and is next door to Zara, Mango, H&M and opposite Uniqlo. It’s within walking distance to many restaurants, the metro and the sights. We booked a rooftop view room and it did not disappoint, stunning view and very quiet. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The sink and shower are in the bedroom, the toilet is separate. We really valued the free soft drinks in the room every day, great touch. The wardrobe was also a good size. The TV in the room did not have many English channels but it allowed you to mirror your phone content. Really easy to use. The staff were all super friendly and all spoke English. When we checked in we were given free tote bags and vouchers for two free alcoholic drinks at the bar. The bar area is beautiful and doubles up as the breakfast area on a morning. It’s modern and clean and has a balcony if you want to sit outside. The rooftop bar is also gorgeous and has great view. We ate breakfast at the hotel for €14 each. It had lots of choice with everything from cereals, range of breads, cooked breakfast, fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, yoghurts, juices and danish pastries. We walked past many hotels during our trip and it really did feel like this hotel is in THE perfect location. Highly recommended, don’t hesitate to book.

The check in was slow. The room was ok other than it appeared that the floor had not been cleaned in some time. The staff seemed annoyed with speaking English. We asked for a late check out and we were told that it would not be a problem for a 2pm check out. On check out day the maid knocked on the door promptly at noon. Then the front desk called and we explained that we had been given a late checkout. They had no record of the late check out. We went to the front and we treated like we he’d broken a law or something. This is not an American friendly hotel. Avoid this if your Spanish is not perfect!

Located near Atocha train station and within walking distance (＜40m) for major attractions (galleries, museums, royal palace etc). Room was clean however the design of hotel itself is not convenient. Upon entrance, there’s a revolving door at a raised level with small steps then after the revolving door you have to step down again. For travellers with heavy luggage this design is problematic- staff will try to help but when busy you have to handle yourself, no bell boys. Free water provided for first check in only and not available for subsequent days. Amenities very limited. Overall at this price level there should be other equivalent or better alternatives.

家族旅行の前泊で利用しました。価格から考えるとこんなもんでしょう。ただ、室内のトイレはカーテンのみの仕切りで家族だとしても抵抗がある。朝食付きで内容は悪くないけどスタッフの態度が悪い。ホテル側の人数間違えを宿泊客に確認させ、更に自身の間違えに気付くも謝罪も無い。あの女性スタッフは利用客全員から嫌われるだろうな。

Was a little far from plaza mayor and gran via area but near to other tourist sites. But otherwise, amenities and staff are great. Just be aware that the pic of the bigger room shows a bathtub but there is only a shower. But this did not ruin my stay at all. In fact the hotel and staff were quite accommodating and pleasant. Overall, would recommend the hotel.

This review is for 60 balconies iconic. So, a surprise for me, after reserving on booking.com, is that this is an apart hotel. Positives - the location is AMAZING and the room (we had an appt for 3 people) was EXCELLENT . Staff were very helpful. Very clean throughout. Bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. A gorgeous breakfast was delivered every morning. Bread, fruit, yogurts, cereals… Negatives - pool (which had workmen upgrading the roof terrace) was freezing. Naturally, not heated, but attached to hose from mains water. Icy. Personally, not a fan of the frosted glass doors/walls to the toilet. We had a large teenager sleeping on the pull down single bed. Was a bit small. Positives far outweigh the negatives. As long as you don’t have your heart set on swimming, you will not regret staying here.

Very good location near Puerto de Atocha. Easy to find from railway station, close to public transport. Clear instructions from reception, since we arrived after 5pm. Small room, perfect for a night or two. No street noise, room was on the other side of the building. Few restaurants nearby, we choose an Indian one.
