Nice hostel in the centre of Madrid. Very clean and very friendly staff convenient for shopping and relaxing. Walking distance of palace and plaza mayor, I stayed few days late september and much enjoyed it.
Rooms have good bed and private shower/toilet, free wifi and simple but modern look. Small fridge is provided no kettle but there are plenty of small bars and restaurants nearby where coffee and simple breakfast will be €3,50 or so, set lunch around €12 including glass of wine or other drink.

Great Location, cannot get any more central. many attractions at easy walking distance, metro stations very close. Food, shopping, buzz all around. The lady, Margarita, if I remember her name correctly is a darling. she is courteous, helpful and always smiling. Would absolutely recommend the place to anyone going to Madrid for a few days, especially for the first time. 😊😊

This was a fairly basic hotel, with perfectly adequate facilities, smack in the middle of Madrid, up a busy lane near a main square. No frills and largely left to get on with it. Luckily, I was towards the rear, away from the street noise.

I have been staying at Hostal Luz many times since 2015. The service is always excellent and friendly. I wouldn't be coming back if it wasn't!!
Unfortunately, this weekend, the lift wasn't working. As Luz Madrid is on the 3rd floor, this made it quite difficult for me, not helped by the fact that i had too much luggage!!
Going out each day was difficult too, as I also have a heart condition.
Margarite was very helpful with the luggage on my arrival and departure. (I must travel light next time).
The problem with the lift has only happened once before in 8 years.
I will be back in the future. Always helpful and welcoming.

5 stars review will be not enough, how about 10 stars. I’m very happy that I had the opportunity to stay at Luz Madrid Rooms. Lady Margarita, Lady Teresita and Lady Maria de Los Angeles were very warm and welcoming. My special thanks for Margarita for all guidance and directions. Look no further when staying in Madrid. I highly recommend this place and you will thank me for my recommendation. I will definitely come back to Luz Madrid Rooms on my next trip.

Small quaint hostel in a central location. Easy to walk to tourist areas like San Miguel Mercado, Palacio, various plazas too name a few. Bring your best walking shoes. I even walked to Parque Retiro 😊 hostel has a very tiny elevator or you can use stairs 3rd floor. The price was reasonable since I split with my roommate. Near the Opera Metro. Indicate twin beds if you are rooming with a friend. Our flight left late in the evening n she kept our bags so we can enjoy the day prior to our departure. Thank you!
