Hotel berhampiran Beach, Maeen Sub-District

Struttura molto bella, ma carente nei dettagli, sicuramente merita un rinnovamento (tavolini, sdraio, ombrelloni, ecc. vecchi). Camera non adatta ad un 5 stelle. Bagno vecchio con vasca e tendina di protezione; soffitto con macchie. Pulizia non ottimale, abbiamo trovato le lenzuola del letto macchiate. In estate suggerirei di chiudere le piscine non alle 18:30, ma almeno un'ora dopo.

the check in process is not clear instructed or at same level as the one in Amman, which cause us some confusion on both parking and luggage delivery to the room. however the buffet breakfast and dinner are good offered at quality and quantity. dead sea floating at hotel's area is good experienced in early morning due to less crowd poeple as well as the sea waves. shower in the room is ok. sea view at our room s terrace is satisfied. you may also enjoy quite good sea view at lobby. the main swimming pool is quite popular during the day.

Beautiful resort, diner included in the reservation was a buffet that was Ok but not exceptional. Pools were very nice at the exception of bugs (like everywhere in Jordan) There were some facilities that were still under construction

The service is excellent everywhere, especially Thaer at the restaurant. The hotel is clean. The pools are nice and it’s a great hotel for families with kids. Overall, would greatly recommend to everyone.

We stayed at this beautiful resort on the doorstep of the Dead Sea. We stayed at the resort for 2 nights before our early morning flight back from Amman. Grand East Hotel Resort & Spa offers a family atmosphere surrounded by sculpted gardens and 3 pools, including an aqua park pool. Our room was equipped with essential facilities, offering moderate Eastern Luxury. We were given a sea view room on request and the sunset from the balcony was beautiful.  There was entertainment on both nights, with music and dancing.  Breakfast, lunch & dinner is provided in the same restaurant and snacks can be ordered from the bar too, although it might take a bit of time to arrive! We had dinner at the restaurant on our first night, paying extra and ordered from the bar the following day. I have to say, apart from fresh salad & rice, there weren't any vegetarian options. However, the chef at the live cooking station happily made us veg pasta on request. There is list of other restaurants that are supposed be on the resrot too, but when I enquired about it they said they are all closed. Not sure why! They have a drinks menu, but the few times we ordered from them, they either took so long that we had to remind them again or they didn't even know how to make those specific cocktails. The same with hot chocolate! They didn't know what it was, then I was given cold chocolate drink. Why would they put drinks on the menu if they don't know how to make them? We arrived at the Resort just in time for sunset so we headed straight to the beach. There is a buggy available to the guests to get to the beach or they can walk across the terraced gardens & pools. There are a lot of steps involved in this but every turn has a magnificent view of the Dead Sea and beyond, especially during sunset. We found people still swimming even at that time. However, guests will be asked to be out after sunset. There was an area by the beach, where the guests can get the Dead Sea Mud and apply to their body before washing it off in the shower. We spent the whole day by the pool and decided to get to the beach in the evening for a dip in the sea. I didn't spend too long in the water as it was too thick, oily and dark! Although I know that this is because of the high salt content, I decided it was not for me. Floating or pretending to float for a few minutes was enough for me to say that I have been swimming (floating) 🏊‍♀️ in the Dead Sea. Hubby spent ages in the water. I did try the mud mask! There was a slight smell on the beach, which I found out is due to unpleasant odours (which is reminiscent of rotten egg) emitted from the sea. We left very early for the airport the following morning. The resort provided us with a breakfast box each, containing fruits & grilled vegetables. Regardless of the few negatives, this resort was a gem and would definitely recommend others too.

Kempinski Ishtar exceeded our expectations and made our honeymoon absolutely unforgettable. The stay was much better than expected. The rooms are very comfortable and have a balcony, facing the Dead Sea. The choice between 5 pools is really great, as well as direct access to the Dead Sea. In line with the legendary Jordanian hospitality, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, thanks to our longer stay, we got to know some of the staff members better and, therefore, we would like to thank Tamih for wonderful bellydance shows every evening – they were very entertaining and it was amazing that she invited people to dance with her – very fun! Our trip to Petra and back to the hotel with Adnan, the driver, was very entertaining, and we learned a lot about that part of Jordan. There were also had very kind and friendly lifeguards – Hani and Mousa – who made sure that we have everything we needed for our stay by the pool. In addition, there were some great waiters – Jan, Suhaib and Elias – who brought us fresh and tasty orange juice and Turkish coffee. Floating in the Dead Sea was also great thanks to Jalal, who made sure we have the information we need. As we consider the Lebanese cuisine restaurant Rehan the best out one in Kempinski Ishtar, we went there of ten enough to thank Chef Abu Eiles, Omar, Mousa, Bajes and Ahmad – who made sure the food was delicious and we were properly served. But Blu and Obelisk also served delicious food.

This hotel was a very comfortable stop on our 2 week holiday in Jordan. The room was very spacious, the decoration was lovely and it was well supplied with toiletries, water, tea and coffee. The staff were friendly and helpful and made the stay very easy. We didn't use the restaurant apart from breakfast but there was plenty of choice for breakfast and the food was good. I must recommend the small gift shop in the lobby which had an excellent range of gifts at very reasonable prices. Madaba itself is great, unlike Amman you could walk around easily, there were lots of tourist sites but also a chance to experience a bit of Jordanian daily life. I would definitely recommend a visit to Madaba and a stay at the Mosaic City Hotel.
