We booked two Studio Suite Twin for a family stay for 2 days. The staff was kind enough to give us adjoining rooms. The fixture and fittings are a bit old but the rooms, bed linen and couches were clean. The kettle in one of the rooms was faulty and a small table in the other room was wobbly. Both were replaced immediately.
We enjoyed the space we had with the connecting rooms. On the second day, we did not leave our rooms until past 10am. The housekeeping team came twice to check if we wanted our rooms cleaned. We asked them to return half an hour later to do the housekeeping. However, when we returned to the rooms in the evening, the rooms were not cleaned yet. After a call to the reception and a talk with a staff member who came to the room, the rooms were cleaned promptly after that.
I think the rooms need an upgrade. The hotel still provides small bottles of shampoo, hair conditioner and bath soap whereas newer hotels have changed to refillable pump bottles for these toiletries. We noticed that some towels have blood and dirt stains on them.
Overall, we had a comfortable stay at the hotel.

Stayed at Swiss Garden Hotel Melaka — great location and very convenient for exploring the city. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly. Did not take the breakfast package this time, so unable to comment on the food. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

A family of 5 adults stayed from Friday to Sunday (3D2N).
Pros:
1. Great service attitude from all the hotel staff, especially the facilities intern guy, lift concierge guy, and the front receptionist day shift lady.
2. Good location if you prefer to stay away from the Hatten/Jonker crowds.
3. Good room size and views (we stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment on level 36)
Cons:
1. Super slow lift (average waiting time 5 minutes).
2. Faulty door upon check-in. The facilities guy spent about an hour to handle it.
3. TV will always lose the signal. Need to go to the TB settings and do the Digital Auto Tuning. Which will take about 30 minutes.
4. Low shower water pressure (rain shower works slightly better).
5. The apartment has a washer dryer (but is unable to dry completely even with the dryer mode). No rack is available. Clothes hanger can't be removed from cabinet, so one will need to be creative.
6. The apartment has a kitchen but only provided 3 sets of plates and mugs, 5 small bowls (enough to fill a serving of rice). No cooking utensils are available. Working oven, fridge, and water kettle.
7. The hotel is unable to help if you need additional anything (utensils, cutlery, drying rack, etc..).
Overall, the stay is okay, but we won't be back. The quality of stay is not worth the price we paid.

I had a pleasant stay at the homestay. The unit was nice, spacious, and comfortable,with a lovely view of Melaka town. It was a relaxing place to unwind after exploring the city.
I appreciated that the unit came with a washing machine,which was very convenient. However, there was no dryer and no designated place to dry clothes, which made laundry a bit challenging.
Overall, it's a great place for a short stay, especially if you're looking for comfort and a good view. Just keep in mind the limited laundry drying options if you're planning a longer visit.

The room was incredibly spacious. Its location right by Malacca offered absolutely stunning sunset views. Getting to attractions by taxi was also very convenient. It's a great choice for a trip or holiday.

The hotel is located within walking distance to many eateries as well as jonker st. We booked this hotel based on friend's good review in the past.
However its facilities are quite run down. When we checked in there's only sugar provided, no coffee/tea as part of the usual complimentary drinks in the room. Why only sugar satchets (see pic). The mini fridge is also no working, only noise but no cooling element. Totally cannot be used. I had to resort to getting ice from eateries outside to cool my drinks. One of the power buttons at the wall below the tv also came loose when powered on. It's a safety hazard. Then the bathroom toilet bowl (see pic) has so many cracks. One can only hope it doesn't give way half way while using it! Even the basin table top has a huge crack on the surface too. For the price I think we could get better value elsewhere.

This is my extended stay at this hotel. The place may be a little dated, but the staff truly do their best to offer great service. The room is spacious, well-equipped with amenities, and includes a sofa with a nice view. The rate is very affordable compared to other hotels.

Second time staying in this hotel, first in May2023.
Room is well maintained.
I booked room with 2 double bed, it is spacious ~ except a little bit dusty.
Toiletries are provided but no comb.
This round I skip breakfast so can’t comment.
Parking is available.
Location is okay for me as self drive.
Short drive to Jonker Street and Aeon supermarket.
The swimming pool is nice, kids love it.

MmiooI recently spent one night at the Asiatic Hotel in Malacca and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located within short driving distance of key attractions like Jonker Street, A Famosa, and the Stadthuys, making it a good base for sightseeing.
The check-in process was smooth, and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. The room itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained. I appreciated the comfortable bed and the basic amenities provided, including complimentary bottled water, toiletries, and a kettle for making tea or coffee. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast enough for streaming and work.
While the hotel doesn’t have an in-house restaurant, there are several eateries and cafes nearby, and the staff was happy to give recommendations. Parking was easy and free, which is a big plus in Malacca.
If I had to mention a downside, the soundproofing could be better — I could occasionally hear hallway noise and other guests. But for a short stay, it wasn’t a major issue.
Overall, the Asiatic Hotel offers good value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for a comfortable, no-fuss stay in Malacca.

GGuest UserThe location is good, but it's a bit dangerous without a road. The hygiene is acceptable for an apartment, only the bed is a little stained, so you have to bring disposable sheets. The view outside the window is very relaxing, but it is a little different from what I expected, not close to the seaside.

AAmy NgauGiven room was at 10th floor. Found out most of the rooms at the same level are abandon. As a solo traveller on business trip i Requested to change the room, waiting for hours to get the room through whatsapp. End up, i didnt get my room. They should have put notice informing guest that the level under maintenance or should not offer that level for guest.
