The worst resort/ hotel I’ve ever stayed, very overpriced for what is worth, Not worth the price!!! First room was very small, except bed small desk and one chair had nothing else no sofa coffee table nothing just room No safe No hair dryer dryer No TV no phone Second- nice size but again NO TV no phone to upgrade to similar size with TV you have to pay extra $900 for two weeks No sea food other than just fish Hotel under renovation… only one beach bar open, no beach towels in the morning When ordering food at the beach bar -all inclusive at least 30 minutes wait time, fastest way to get it is to buy it Not recommending to anyone Stay away

Such a nice hotel with beautiful pools. Delicious Kenyan food and good cocktails. We’ve been there for one week and we also went to safari for 2 days with Polenta Usei (highly recommended!!! +254 758 882147). Best way to spend your time in Kenya

The hotel is beautiful. Ambience great,food great,staff great(collins and constance were very kind). The rooms are clean. The spa is well coordinated. Friendly and welcoming staff. Family and couple friendly. I would highly reccomend the hotel.

After a start which was a bit hard, because we weren't informed that the hotel is partially under renovation, we finally had a fantastic stay at Diamonds Malindi, thanks to the exceptional staff, especially our butler Sammy, who made sure we were totally happy and relaxed throughout our stay. With the Premium All-Inclusive package, Sammy and Laura looked after us from start to finish. Sammy went above and beyond to ensure we always had the best table, the ideal spot on the beach and that we made the most of all the package benefits. This included an excursion to Malindi, a spa session, special beachfront dinners, access to exclusive dining menus, and a variety of drinks from all the resort’s restaurants. We learned so much about Malindi and Kenyan culture just from our brief conversations with Sammy over dinner. Thanks so much, Laura and Sammy for this great and luxurious experience. You truly made our stay unforgettable! Scuba diving was another highlight, and we’re grateful to Emanuel for the amazing underwater experience. Also, the animation team did a great job, especially with the beach walks and the incredible beach party after gala dinner. That said, the rooms could use a refresh, and the buffet options were fairly average, nothing particularly special. There’s also room for improvement in service flow—especially with wait times, such as when ordering wine, where knowing the available options in advance would be helpful. Large parts of the hotel were under renovation, which is promising for an even higher quality experience in the future. In a nutshell, after a week of safari, the service and relaxation at Diamonds Malindi was what we needed and we are grateful for the wonderful stay and the enriching encounters!

Very good staff, with great customer service. I got the best treatment from Sammy,George,Hamisi,Sophia and Collins. The kids enjoyed swimming and the food. I would definitely go back there. They allowed us to check out at 6pm with no extra charges

Freshly back from our vacation at Diamonds Malindi, I would like to share our experience. We have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world, including several times in Africa, so we certainly have something to compare them to. Zanzibar was one of them 4 times, so we know very well that you have to use a different level of classification for African hotels. Our experience was somewhat mixed. It was advertised as 4.5 stars and a complete renovation in 2024. We had booked a junior suite with its own pool and premium all inclusive. The newly built pool was really very nice and was cleaned and maintained every day. We had room T001, which apparently had not been renovated and for sure not even completely renovated. The bathtub was leaking, the toilet flush was broken, the patio door was broken and so on additionally it was also worn out - for us it did not meet the standard in any way. What exceeded the standard, however, was the reaction to the shortcomings being pointed out. The damages were repaired immediately and a clarifying discussion with the resort manager Timothy was offered and carried out. He was really present everywhere, as you would expect from a good resort manager asking guests if they are satisfied. Which brings us to the staff. Whether gardener, pool boy, beach boy, waiter or resort manager, they all deserve a 6-star rating. That is really the highlight of this hotel and deserves absolute admiration. You had the feeling that service is not just offered, service is lived and done with pleasure. And on top of that there was Sammy, our butler, who was without a doubt unbeatable. If I had a luxury hotel, I would hire him straight away. Exceptional and a huge thank you to him again, we have never experienced such customer-oriented service anywhere else. The staff also managed to overlook many other shortcomings due to their friendliness and manner. There was no Coke available on one occasion, cocktails were not possible because something was missing, only a limited selection of beer - this should also be worked on, especially since the hotel was only about 50% booked. The availability of goods also did not really deserve the rating. Something can be missing sometimes, but something different every day does not seem entirely logical to me. As for the food, it should be said that taste is always subjective, the Terrace restaurant and the Onda absolutely met the standard. Excellently presented, very good taste and with great service, both restaurants were really high level. Generally the selection at breakfast could be adapted to the 4.5 star category. No selection of sausage or cheese and what is offered is not really up to par. The buffet restaurant is also in urgent need of renovation. Starters and salads were served uncooled and in plastic bowls with plastic lids, the entire buffet as such had certainly not been renovated for a long time and did not give a particularly inviting impression.
