We booked a deluxe suite and the room was huge, some lovely features like the fireplace. Some lovely little treats in the room biscuits and chocolate etc. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The only downside to the room was a cracked basin in the bathroom and some rust around the shower screen. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and we were served by a really charming and helpful young woman called Poppy. She was happy to advise on the menu choices when asked and was a breath of fresh air. The cooked breakfast was delightful, however the only offering for breakfast pastries was croissants. We enjoyed having drinks overlooking the scenery in the grounds. We would stay again because the building has character and it’s a lovely area to explore.
