Our 5th trip to the Malvern and I think my favourite so far. Off to a wobbly start when we arrived the day after storm Darragh had wrecked half the UK. we were told that a solar panel had come through one of spa windows and that they may not be able to open. We were gutted as we had booked a much needed 2 night stay however whilst we went for lunch the general manager let us know that everything would be going ahead. Thank goodness. Plus points....the food quality has improved greatly. Really delicious meals, and even though the prices have risen I completely support that, knowing how much food costs have risen and the fact that everything was so delicious. The team....every member of the team was brilliant. The bar and restaurant staff were so friendly and chatty. The pool team were great, getting drinks and just being generally wonderful. The spa therapists are hands down the nest we've ever encountered. Both our massages and facials were top standard, thank you to Tia and Taila for my treatments. The room looked fresher new headboard, and bed throw looked great. As always, love the water and selection of teas in the room The not totally brilliant....day 1 (8/12/24) everywhere was freezing cold. My treatment room was bitter and the pool was colder than usual. The herb sauna was off as were some of the jets outside. This was undoubtedly due to the storm, so totally understand and all was warm again by day 2. Leak in the pool area ceiling, again handled brilliantly by the team. Please consider asking guests not to use their mobiles in the pool. So annoying to hear people having loud chats with their kids or watching videos on tiktok. Also I hate the video calls they take while I'm sat there in my swimsuit. Some ideas... The nail area seems a little under utilised and I know that after your evening meal there is nothing to do but go to bed. Perhaps creating a nice bar area with places to sit would be nice? Also, there used to be some planters outside on the stone wall which hid the view of the premier inn. Perhaps planting some established trees would be a good investment and less likely to be affected by the weather. I'm not put off by the location at all, but the gorgeous night time lit up pool view is spoilt a bit with the big purple prem inn sign! Finally, the salt room is a bit naff and very under utilised. Could that be repurposed into an ice room for the whole fire and ice experience? would you consider a loyalty discount scheme for regulars?we booked through spa breaks this time because the deal was so much better than anything you could offer directly. We come back because of the pool, the quality of the treatments and the team members. We would love to book directly and still get great offers. Thanks
