KSTDC Hotel Mayura Kauvery KRS Pros: Very clean and well furnished rooms comparable to 3-star hotels. Lovely view from the rooms. Very good restaurant with a delicious South Indian-only breakfast. The butter chicken wasn't the usual recipe but tasted delicious. The butter paneer was also delicious. The restaurant also offers a decent variety of beers. Excellent location, right inside the Brindavan Gardens. The biggest advantage is that you can visit the gardens in the early mornings when it is closed to the public and enjoy the gardens without the huge crowd that congests it during its regular timings. Polite, helpful and friendly staff. Suggest one day's stay—enough to see the gardens. This hotel is more than enough comfortable; no need to book at the expensive Royal Orchid hotel next to it. Cons: We booked the room because the photo on *********** showed an AC. On getting there it turned out the photo was wrongly uploaded and the room was a non-AC room. So I suggest after making the booking for an AC room on ***********, call up the hotel and confirm that your room is an AC room. We were lucky the weather was good but could have been a problem if it were warm.

Best experience i have ever had before.......... awesome....good neat rooms, toilets cleaned neatly...food in the restaurant Orchids was sumptuous...hospitality of the room service, front office was Top quality....a good hotel to stay.....keep up the good work....

Much like most other KSTDC hotels, Mayura riverview is a decent property. Being situated right beside the Cauvery river, this hotel is a great place to relax. Its close proximity to Bangalore makes it a good stopover point before your proceed to the destinations beyond Mysore. It offers great views of the river, and you can enjoy coracle rides too! The unpleasant part is, this place is thronged by government officials/workers, who, presumably, avail the accommodation at heavily subsidized prices. We happened to stay there on a Friday when we were the only family apart from the sarkari guys whom I DON'T INTEND TO DISRESPECT. With liquors/beers being served, the restaurant atmosphere turned out to be bitterly inhospitable for us. We requested the restaurant staff to serve us food outside the restaurant, close to the river bank, to which they disagreed, and asserted that food can be served only inside the restaurant. I tried to reason with them that women and kids find the atmosphere that prevailed in the restaurant, extremely uncomfortable, but they held their ground unrelentingly. I lodged a complaint to the manager who quickly offered to serve the food at a convenient location. Having been fed up with the staff's disobliging demeanor, I politely rejected his offer and went out to dine with my family. I will still visit this property again in future, but not venture into the restaurant ever again!

Property is good, non-veg restaurant is good too. The only problem i faced in this place is hot water in the early hours, the property manager switched/turned on the hot water thing. Still no great luck.

It is on highway we had booked suit room. Room was pretty good but poor maintenance geyser was not working. There is no one to listen to your concern we asked for towel in morning we got that in evening. Geyser was not working no hot water then they repaired it but again it worked only for one hour and we had to adjust with cold water in morning. Rooms interior etc is really good there must be good staff to take care.
