Sheraton Manila Bay

This hotel is adequate, but slightly overpriced vs. competition. While they have updated the lobby in recent years, from what I can tell there has been little effort to update guest rooms, which are dated vs. other 5 star properties like the Westin. The one differentiating factor this hotel previously had was a great breakfast buffet served in the Pacific Lounge on the 21st floor with floor to ceiling windows that gave a sweeping view of the skyline and the bay. It was carpeted with cushioned club chairs and those soft surfaces absorbed noise and the overall experience was a great way to start your day compared to the crowded and loud breakfast buffets at other 5 star hotels. Well someone decided to spend a lot of money to destroy that experience. They have opened a new restaurant on the first floor that is loud, crowded and gives you a view of 7-11 across the street instead of the bay. I spoke to the GM about this, so he already knows my opinion, but what continues to strike me is his point that the Pacific Lounge is “a premium space” - yes Sir, that’s true and previously it was one that virtually all your guests got to enjoy which is exactly why it was THE difference maker for this hotel. I came back thru Manila for a night on May 15 and was going to try the Sheraton one more time, but it was fully booked. Instead I stayed at the Westin for less money. There was no comparison- the Westin’s rooms have a much higher end finish, their food was better, and the service there was far superior like being provided a welcome drink and the Manager sending fruit to my room with a welcome note. The Sheraton Manila Bay is no longer on par with Manila’s best hotels

During my recent 3-day, 2-night stay at Swiss-Belhotel Blulane in Manila, the overall experience left much to be desired. While the hotel had potential, the importance of providing quality service to guests seemed inconsistent. Firstly, there was a noticeable discrepancy in the service provided by the on-the-job trainees. While some displayed genuine warmth and eagerness to assist, others seemed hesitant, particularly when they perceived that a guest might not offer a tip. This attitude detracted from the overall guest experience and contradicted the essence of hospitality, which should prioritize genuine care and assistance regardless of gratuity. Additionally, the functionality of the elevators was a significant inconvenience. With only one elevator in operation, guests frequently experienced delays and overcrowding, resulting in frustration and inconvenience. This issue significantly impacted the efficiency of guest movement within the hotel and should be addressed promptly to enhance overall satisfaction. In conclusion, while this hotel in Manila has potential, there are notable areas for improvement, particularly in ensuring consistent and genuine guest service and addressing operational inefficiencies such as elevator functionality. By instilling in all staff members, including trainees, a genuine commitment to hospitality and service excellence, the hotel can elevate the overall guest experience and distinguish itself as a premier destination for travelers.

The place was close to everything. Easily accessible but the roads are jam packed. The water heater is broken. At least the tv works.

Dentro de los muros y zona histórica, para visitar los lugares históricos. El desayuno es razonable y se sirve en el último piso por lo que la vista es buena. Adicionalmente tiene restaurante y bar de noche en la azotea que es muy concurrido y buen ambiente. Los cuartos no tienen todos los detalles de mantenimiento y limpieza de un hotel 4 estrellas, pero es razonable. El personal fue muy amable y servicial.

Location wise, super accessible to restaurants. Near a church and near to nearby tourist spot. The room is bigger than usual. There's a workspace where you can do your work properly. The comfort room is also big which I like since the bathtub is separate from the shower.

The room is clean with basic free amenities such as dental and vanity kits and room slippers. Have to request for a bathroom mat though, because the room doesn't have it when we arrived. It is quiet inside the room even if the hotel is in the middle of busy Chinatown. Hotel have direct access to Lucky Chinatown mall, very convenient! Parking is free for checked-in guests.

Staying in sogo hotel avenida was really amazing because it is just near to quiapo church easy to go for attend mass and easy to reach hotel by LRT and Jeep and bus. Hotel is clean really room is safe and clean and service offered by hotel is really good and within few minutes service will be on your door once you dialed 0 . You can get massage just a call to front desk and foods are good and hotel staff when they will see you they will bow to you and they will proper address this is the way their to respect for you. My staycation in sogo hotel avenida was really best and it happened because of trip. com, I really appreciate for being a good chance to enjoy my vacation.
