A beautiful hotel with lovely view, in dire need for a refurbishment. Double room on second floor was spacious & had a lovely sea & pool view. Beach was clean with soothing sea waves & calm sea. Bathroom sink needed to be unclogged upon check-in. Toilet flush has to be held down until all waste has been ”sucked” in. No toiletries holder in shower area besides the built-in space for bar soap. Pretty inconvenient as there was no space to place face wash, shampoo bottle, bath gel bottle. Shower screen is old and unsightly. Aircond is noisy. Cabinet door covering mini refrigerator squeaks upon opening and closing. Instant coffee sachet provided did not taste like coffee. Hotel is very near to 7-11, Speedmart99, many dry seafood produce retail shops, jetty & few eateries. Laundry bag & bedroom slippers provided. No hair dryer & iron in room. Need to request. Had very good Americano coffee, doughnut & nasi lemak at 989 Cafe near the jetty. Warm hospitality & cosy cafe. Definitely worth a second visit, if hotel is refurbished.

My husband and I chose to have our honeymoon at Pangkor Laut Resort two days after our wedding, and it was the best trip of our lives so far. We had a good first impression of the resort even before we reached the resort. We had arranged in advance for land transfer from Ipoh airport to Marina Island Pangkor, and we thought to have the driver pick us up at 10am even though our flight landed at 8.30am (just in case we faced delays with our flight or at immigration) but we were surprised when he was already waiting for us when we landed at 8.30am. After a 1.5h road trip from the airport to the office, we were welcomed with a refreshing drink and towel, and was then escorted to PLR on a speedboat with one other couple (which made us feel special, haha). Upon arrival at the resort, we were again welcomed with a little refreshment and had a staff attend to us immediately, helping us to plan our itinerary for the rest of the week that we were staying there. As we were still early and the rooms were not ready, we had lunch at the Feast Village and then rested in the library, which was very cosy with a good selection of books (only downside was there were so many house lizards, though I am not sure if anything could be done to prevent them from coming). Our room at the Garden Villa was wide and spacious, and we received a congratulatory drink from the resort to celebrate our wedding as well. (It was a nice gesture, but nothing could compare to the attentiveness of the different staff we met over the week, who, upon noticing the henna stains on our hands, congratulated us warmly in person). We also loved that the Garden Villa was so near to the Feast Village and Uncle Lim's Kitchen, which we kept going back to for breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as the food options across the two kitchens were varied and more importantly, delicious. The service at the kitchens were also amazing - Chef Liza was so friendly and approachable that she made us feel at home, and Masum and Nadim went out of their way to make each dining experience feel special for us (such as seating us at places where we would have unobstructed views of the beach, and offering to take photos of us without us even thinking of it). Other experiences we had at the resort were going for the jungle walk, swimming at Emerald Bay and having lunch at Chapman's Bar, and yoga. However, our favourite activity on the resort was going for the spa experience. It was so refreshing and phenomenal, and truly, no other spa can beat PLR's spa. We were pampered from head to toe, and the different bath experiences set the spa apart from other spas out there. The staff were also so knowledgeable and generous with sharing what they know, that both my husband and I learnt so much about the natural ingredients used in our sessions. Definitely made the experience more meaningful and personal for us, and after a hectic wedding weekend, the spa made us feel well rested and rejuvenated. We also got a free room upgrad

Hi Doubletree Damai Laut, Boleh saya tahu adakah mana-mana kenderaan ini milik pemilik hotel anda? (Lihat gambar 1). Seperti yang kami diberitahu oleh Pengurus Bertugas anda, Jason bahawa tempat letak kereta ini hanya dikhaskan untuk kegunaan pemilik hotel/kecemasan. Kami mula-mula mendaftar masuk hotel pada 30/8/24 (No. Tempahan:***********). Pada masa itu tempat letak kereta ini semuanya kosong. Jadi suami saya & saya cuba untuk meminta kepada Jason di penerimaan tetamu. Kami ingin membayar & meletak kereta di sana. Malangnya Jason anda yang tidak mesra memberitahu kami peraturan itu walaupun pada masa itu semua lot pembungkusan yang ada telah diduduki sepenuhnya. Jadi kami terpaksa parking di laluan seperti kenderaan lain (lihat pic 2). 1 minggu kemudian, kami check in hotel semula pada 8/9/24 (No. Tempahan:**********). Tetapi kali ini kami terkejut melihat tempat letak kereta istimewa ini telah diduduki oleh tetamu hotel lain seperti gambar 1. Concierge berkata bahawa tetamu hotel ini telah menempah tempat letak kereta 1 minggu sebelum ketibaan mereka. Jadi saya menganggap peraturan itu berubah dengan pantas dalam masa satu minggu atau mungkin tetamu yang diletakkan di situ untuk kecemasan seperti yang Jason katakan sebelum ini. Kami kemudian cuba meletakkan kenderaan di belakang kenderaan putih, lihat gambar 2. Tetapi pihak keselamatan menghalang kami daripada berbuat demikian dan seterusnya berkata mereka telah memaklumkan kepada pemilik kereta putih itu untuk mengeluarkan kenderaannya dari situ juga. Malangnya kami masih dapat melihat kenderaan putih ini di tempat yang sama pada keesokan harinya selepas kami mendaftar keluar. Pic 2 adalah bukti kukuh. Selain itu, kami dikejutkan oleh bunyi troli bagasi yang melalui bilik kami pada lewat malam sekitar jam 1:30 pagi! Bolehkah anda bayangkan bunyi bising apabila benda ini berjalan di atas lantai konkrit yang tanpa permaidani? Semua di atas adalah sebab mengapa kami memutuskan untuk tidak melanjutkan penginapan kami di sini tetapi meneruskan perjalanan kami ke hotel lain yang bagus. Kami sukakan landskap di sini, dan kami tetap biasa semasa ia masih di bawah kumpulan Swiss Garden. Dan kini perabot hotel telah dipertingkatkan, tetapi kualiti pengurusan masih tidak dapat bersaing. Ringkasnya, Doubletree Damai Laut terlalu mahal & tidak dapat menawarkan pengalaman hospitaliti 5 bintang oleh Hilton. I recently stayed at your hotel and would like to share my feedback regarding my experience. Firstly, I must commend the quality of the hotel room itself. It was well-appointed, clean, and comfortable, providing a pleasant environment for my stay. The amenities and facilities within the room met my expectations, and the overall ambiance contributed to a relaxing atmosphere. However, I encountered an issue with the water supply in the room. The water pressure was not strong enough, which made showering and using the sink somewhat inconvenient. Additionally, the water temperature was not consistently hot; it tended to fluctuate, and at times, it was uncomfortably cold.
