Hotel Costa Galana

Beautiful hotel, attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are well appointed and beds are comfortable, and nothing is too much trouble. I was here for five nights for a Congress and was treated like royalty. Breakfasts are generous with a wide variety of food to choose from. I had lunch and dinner here and there was a great choice - bife de chorizo was cooked perfectly!

This hotel although very well located and attended is detained in the 90’s. All of it was brand new and super quality 30 years ago. Carpets, curtains, furnishings,Lightning, all of it is old fashion and a bit wares out. Service is great, food is nice.

When staff are nice, it is hard to write a harsh review, but this property is a poster child for deferred maintenance. Owners and property managers need to take an audit and understand that to promote this hotel as a five-star property is misleading. Tattered furnishings, torn and soiled carpeting, worn draperies are but the start of what could be a long list of disappointments. For starters, room reserved was not what was delivered. Arriving to a room much smaller and poorly appointed, we asked to view another room with hopes it would be clean. No luck, as I pointed out soiled spots on the carpet similar to our first assigned room. Bathroom fixtures are tarnished , bent, and in need of repair. Lack of electrical outlets don’t meet standards of a fine property. Enough said from one who writes scores of reviews. Suffice it to say that one or two stars need to be removed from the hotel’s signage until the property improves in basic quality standards.

The Hotel is living on past fame, it is currently the most expensive hotel in the city and proud to be a five star, while they only give you a three star experience. The rooms are outdated, the carpet is way too old and there is visible rust, peeling and other lack of maintenance on the bathrooms hardware. We had two of the best suites they offer and the view was very nice though. The service personnel was at times rude and some grossly untrained. They are enforcing what they call aforo, which is restrictions on capacity and services everywhere, but really what they are doing is offering less with less personnel, they make you reserve one day in advance for breakfast, sauna, pool use etc . When you try to use any of these services, they prevent guests access without reservation even if it is empty at the time. The beach is unusable since they rent all the tents to locals for the whole season, we had to end using a nearby beach club since the Hotel didn't even reserve a few tents for their guests. All this happened on low season, on December 2021, so good luck during high season. The most brilliant moment was when my father in law ordered a Cognac at the lobby bar and they brought him Fireball, yes fireball, I pointed politely that it was mistaken, and after a few minutes the server came to explain that they thought fireball was the most similar since they ran out of cognac... I hope you get a better stay than me!

I made a reservation for the night of October 7th.. while driving from Buenos Aires to Mar del Plata I had a severe low back pain (Lumbalgia) and had to return to BA.. today I called the hotel to ask whether they had charged me although I didnt show up.. they said they did without offering any alternative.. I think it is really outreageous and not they way put the customers first..

Establecimiento muy especial, con un encanto único. El lugar donde se ubica es bellísimo. Al contrafrente, proximidad a zona bastante céntrica y también a barrio residencial elegante; al frente, el mar, cuya vista se disfruta aún de noche por las luces de la Escollera Norte. Gracias a un upgrade de cortesía pude disfrutar de una habitación con vista al mar. Sugiero leer la increíble historia del hotel, logro de un matrimonio de inmigrantes gallegos y también saber que el proyecto es del gran Arq. Mario Roberto Alvarez. Previo a concurrir leí opiniones que hablaban de muebles viejos. Creo que habría que aclarar que son muebles de estilo, al menos en la habitación que me tocó, perfectamente conservados y en excelente estado. Es cierto que probablemente no sean el tipo de mobiliario que prefieren las personas jóvenes, pero tienen algo que ver con un ambiente señorial que evoca la Mar del Plata coqueta. Dentro de la habitación lo mejor no era el estado de las alfombras, a pesar de estar limpias, pero entiendo que están a punto de ser renovadas. El resto, todo muy cómodo, confortable e impecable. Mi hijo pequeño disfrutó muchísimo de todo. El hecho de disponer en temporada de verano de tres piscinas, está muy bueno. El túnel hacia la playa le da un toque único de hotel de playa que en Mar del Plata es casi imposible de conseguir. Sin sorpresas a la hora del ckeck out. La mayoría del personal sumamente atento y con excelente disposición, en especial mucamas y personal de recepción.

Es un hotel que al llegar te da gusto ver a su personal todos muy atentos! Muy bien ubicado en playa grande! Elevadores rápidos y remodelados. Las habitaciones muy antiguas requieren remodelación Su lobby bar bien atendido con un bien surtido de bebidas de todo tipo! Con un muy buen ambiente general

Un hotel que fue desde que se inauguró 5 estrellas ahora le falta mantenimiento y algunos detalles que deberían rever La caja fuerte se traba y la puerta se mueve los picaportes de todo la habitación placards baño etc están descoloridos La llave de la ducha que es mono comando está tan gastada que apenas se puede pasar al duchador esto no debería pasar

Fuimos con mi Sra. por 4 noches y por primera vez y realmente la pasamos de 10. Fue un placer hospedarnos en sus habitaciones, utilizar el spa, la pileta exterior climatizada, las piletas de la playa. El sector de Spa, es de primera . Sus restaurantes y el desayunador fueron excelentes. No nos olvidamos del trato de sus empleados, por su humildad, simpatía y profesionalismo.(Denise en recepción, Luana en peluquería, Gabriel doorman y otros más que no recuerdo). Por todo lo escrito y mucho más, queremos VOLVER a hospedarnos en vuestro hotel. MUCHAS GRACIAS COSTA GALANA por estas hermosas vacaciones.
