Beautiful hostel with a nice outside area, good location & big rooms. Bed was comfortable and had a curtain. There’s a safety box for everyone but you must bring your own locker. Unfortunately, the little safe next to the bed doesn’t work. Showers could be bigger tho.

I had an incredible stay at the Downtown Hostel! The staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities. The common areas were vibrant and perfect for meeting fellow travelers. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore local attractions. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. I highly recommend Downtown Hostel to anyone looking for a welcoming and affordable place to stay. I'll definitely be back!

Really affordable and nice place to stay a couple nights, surrounding area is not too bad, just surrounded by strange people.

Bath room need to improve. It is always wet even in early morning. Noone use it

People were kind and helpful. I stayed in a private room and there was no slippers, no toothbrush, and breakfast was not that good. It didn’t worth to make the reservation with breakfast included.

Enjoyed my stay here. The bathroom is spacious and clean. My bed is clean and comfortable. The view at the balcony is nice! Got to meet a new friend in the common area.

I would say that this is the best hostel in Marseille. However, I was expecting to find a kitchen.

It was alright, travellers were loud

Private are room and bathroom was very clean. Staff would be friendlier and offer more help. I showed up to check in at 3:30pm and staff said room is not ready yet and will come get me in a few minutes. More than 1/2 an hour later, I went back to the staff and she just said that she can make my key now and didn’t apologize for forgetting about me. Key stopped working for room and elevator several times one day and staff never apologized and instead showed annoyance.

Prefect for solo travellers. Everywhere walkable. Very near to bus and train station.

Centrally located near the port. Basic breakfast available. Not great for parking.

I stayed in the 4 x females room in the ground floor. Super spacious (i think it may also be for wheelchair users) the cubicules are very well designed but the mattress was a bit hard. Bathroom was spotless. A bit noisy as the room is right in front of the main corridor, but nothing a good pair of earplugs cannot solve. Bar didnt offer food, just snacks.

Be careful of a regular customer here named JASON from Germany. He may seem like a nice and friendly guy but he’s in fact a ************* (literally) rascal. He would make friend and hang out with you, and pretend he forgets bringing money so that you would pay for him and he never pays you back.
