Hotel berhampiran 鳥ヶ崎, Matsue

We stayed at the New Urban Hotel for 2 weeks in October while my husband was in Matsue for business. It is a lovely hotel in an excellent location in the city. I can’t say enough positive comments about the staff, and especially would like to mention Keiko Ueda. She goes above and beyond in making guests feel welcome and she is so helpful. Her English is very good and she repeatedly asked for feedback, did we need anything, was there anything in particular we wanted or wanted to do. All of the other staff are just as helpful, albeit many don’t speak English…however with the help of Google Translate, we had no difficulty. In staying there for 2 weeks, we were a familiar face and we’re always greeted warmly whenever we were in the lobby area. The location is excellent, about a 10 minute walk to Matsue Castle, about 15 minute walk to the Kyomise shopping district, and about 25 minute walk to the JR Matsue Transit Station, which has a wonderful Visitors Center with English speaking staff.. The hotel is directly across from Lake Shinji, and our room faced the lake providing lovely views. There is a walking path along the lake that is very nice and it is a short walk to Sunset Park to view the famous sunsets. Since my husband was working during the days, I was on my own to explore. I never felt uncomfortable or unsafe walking around this beautiful city. The city’s population is about 200K, and Matsue is known for still being “authentic Japan.” There is an on-site onsen at the hotel, which is very nice. There are separate baths for males and females and the hours are quite convenient. The lobby of the hotel has a section of travel amenities that are free to quests. Additionally, the hotel stocks a number of other items for borrowing that you might need, such as iron and ironing board. There is a laundry facility and a convenience store attached to the hotel. My only negative comment would be that the on-site buffet at the restaurant is the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But there are many wonderful restaurants in Matsue if you need more variety. If your travels find you going to Matsue, consider staying at the New Urban Hotel, you won’t be disappointed with the everything the hotel offers as well as the location.

松江的酒店總體不是跟多，好不容易選擇了這家。房間還不錯。就是浴室有些小。雖然是温泉。但是也沒法很好的利用。有些可惜

This Ryokan is just great, so glad we stayed here. First colloquial English is spoken by the owners, and they willing answer email questions in advance. They also accept luggage forwarded by Yamato transport. You can book direct if you want. Second, the location is excellent, you can walk to most major sights in Matsue in 15 mins or less. The pedestrian shopping street starts only 2 blocks away and there are lots of restaurants nearby. If you get a room with a view of the river and the lake, you wan't regret it, very beautiful. In terms of food , this Ryokan is flexible and will serve you a western breakfast with a few Japanese sides, rather than a full Japanese style breakfast if you must request this in advance. We had an excellent dinner of local specialties our last night , a delicious end to our stay in Japan. This Ryokan is quite small, so if your stay coincides with some special happening in Matsue like the Warrior Parade, book far in advance. Our room was large, extremely comfortable, well designed, and we were vey happy with it. If you can afford one of the 3 rooms with its own volcanic springs hot tub it's worth it. However the steam baths in the basement were clean, and comfortable. we went every day. The only problem this hotel has is also a city wide problem, there are not enough taxis, especially during rush hour. However, the public bus stop is only 1/2 a block away to take you to the train station.

ドーミーインだが、expressというブランドで、デイユースなどにも対応する形態らしい。それとここ、大浴場がない。既存ホテルの居抜きかな？ そこそこ安くなってもいいところだが、この日の松江は謎の混雑が起きている。なんだかわからないけど、軒並み宿が高額、完売になっているところも多い。駅の飲食店もよさげなところは満席だった。 ときどきあるんだよねえ、謎に「この日のこの街」だけ異様に混んでて、宿泊費が高額に設定されている場合が。なにかイベントがあるのかと調べてみたりもするけど、たいていわからない。 朝食会場は狭めで提供スペースもチープだったが、小鉢ビュッフェなどドーミーインらしさは残している。 蕎麦は出雲蕎麦で、これは温蕎麦だが、冷たい方をチョイスすると割子で提供。 わりといいビジホ朝食だと思います。うまかった。ドーミーインは朝食がよいな。

駅近だし、繁華街にあって何かと便利だし、ビジネス利用で一泊だけだし、ってことで事前調査せずに予約したのですが、かなりのハズレでした。まず、値段のわりにボロい。清掃が行き届いていなくでバスタブにお湯を張ると何やら黒い塊がぷかぷか。気持ち悪いのでフロントに連絡したら部屋を変えてくれましたが、疲れていたのでほんとに面倒でした。おじさんのフロントマンは愛想もないし、なんかプロ意識もない。朝食は付けませんでしたが正解でした。朝食会場はフロント前の落ち着かない場所だし、メニューも貧相でした。駅前に手ごろに朝食をとれるカフェがあるので、私はそちらをお勧めします。ここの他の方の口コミを見てもかなりひどい様子がわかりますよね。やめた方がいいと思います。

靴を脱いで入館することが珍しかったが、清潔感があってよかった。特に室内では気持ちが良かった。　朝食はどれも美味しく満足でした。とくに、天麩羅を目の前で上げてくださり感謝します。しかも笑顔で。 風呂の前にあるマッサージ器の良かったこと。もちろん温泉は悪いところは一切ありません！宿泊できたことに感謝いたします。夕食は外食ですが、魚がうまい　飯がうまい　お店のひとの笑顔が素敵　（叢雲という店ですが）これで悪いとこを探すほうが無理ですね。この旅で島根が大好きになりました。

コロナ禍のテコ入れ策（GoToキャンペーン）が功を奏したのか、松江駅前という便利な立地のためなのか、９月の４連休中に利用したところ、ほぼ満室状態でした。午後６時半ころに到着しましたが、まずホテルの駐車場が満杯で近くの民間駐車場を探すことに。徒歩数分の所に駐車場は見つかったものの、その後のチェックインの列に軽く驚きました。３０人以上が列を作り、対応スタッフは２名。通常のチェックイン業務のほかに検温もやっていたため時間がかかります（スタッフの対応は丁寧でした）。なかには外出から戻ったお客さんがただカギを受け取るだけなのに辛抱強くチェックインの列に一緒に並ぶ方々もいて、そうしたお客さんへの対応の機転も利かせられないほど明らかにピーク時のスタッフが不足しています。マンパワーのマネジメントの問題ですね。私の場合、チェックイン手続き完了まで約３０分かかりました。振り返るとさらに列が伸びている有様です。 ただ、繰り返しになりますがフロントスタッフは丁寧で好感が持てました。なお、２食付き待ちでも料金は６千円以下でかなりお得です。夕食はコロナ対策のためセットメニューのみ（定食orカレー）。小鉢の数は多いが質の贅沢は求められません。ドリンクはセルフスタイルでソフトドリンクのみ。アルコールが欲しければ自販機で買うか、外で食べるしかありません。朝食は半セルフ。あらかじめ皿に盛り付けられた和・洋食をトレイに取る形式でした。

駐車場は目の前のコインパーキングを利用できますが、夕方遅い時間だと満車となり 近くの違う場所を案内されるようです。フロントに申し出れば一晩1000円の利用料となります。 チェックイン後、脇にあるアメニティグッズで必要なものを頂きます。 伊藤園のミネラルウォーター缶をこちらで初めて見ました。嬉しいサービスです。 お部屋は洗い場付き浴槽があるスーペリアを選択。 リノベーションされて新しく余裕のある広さで清潔、ベッドの寝心地も◎。 さらにタオル類が多くバスタオル含め3種、 さらにお風呂場には吸湿性抜群のワッフル生地タオルもあり、 高級ホテル並みの備えで有難かったです。 特筆すべきはお風呂。 洗い場があれば十分でしたが、予想よりも広めで浴槽も大きく深さもあり、 大柄の男性でも満足できるサイズかと思います。 宿泊当日夜は気温が低めでしたのでたっぷりのお湯に浸かって ゆっくりバスタイムを楽しむことが出来ました。 また内部、外部とも音は静かで就寝に差し支えることはありませんでした。 相場より少し高めかもしれませんが、全体的に価格に見合った施設、サービス、 特に浴室と多めのタオルが良かったです。 また松江に来る機会がありましたら利用させて頂きたいと思います。 お世話になり有難うございました。

This hotel is so nice that I booked two more nights. There is free coffee, free snacks, and even a free facial mask (not for covid, it is for beauty). The co work space is good. But the network speed is not fast enough for online meeting.

足立美術館の見学のための前泊として宿泊し ました。足立美術館から歩いて3分ほどです。 宿泊費はやや高めですが、満足度は高いです。建物も綺麗で、お風呂も大浴場は内風呂はまずまずの広さで、露天風呂も含めると十分でした。食事も地元産の食材を活かした手が混んでいる料理が出されました。ホスピタリティも良かったです。チェックアウト後、足立美術館の見学中の荷物は預かってくださいます。お願いしたら、月山富田城の登山口まで宿の送迎バスで送ってくださいました。 なお、貸切風呂は宿に到着してからの予約のため、早めにチェックインしなければ、22時以後の予約なし自由早い者勝ちで入ることになります。 特急が停車する最寄りの安木駅からは歩く距離ではありません。タクシーでも3000円ちょっとかかります。駅前から美術館の送迎バスが出ています。宿名を伝えたら、美術館前まで無料で乗せてもらえます。ただし、夕方の最終便が結構早い時間帯です。最終便に乗りました。事前にホームページで確認しておきましょう。 宿のそばにはコンビニはありません。コンビニでの買い物は、安木駅から少し歩きます。 美術館前のお土産物店で、アルコールを含めた飲食品は若干買えます。ただし、美術館の閉館時間に合わせて閉店します。宿への送迎バスが最終便なら降りたら宿へ行かずに買い物をしておきましょう。 なお、宿の売店はフロント横の廊下にお土産が並んでいる程度でした。自動販売機は良心価格でした。
